Well, I have in issue with becoming a vegetarian. I really want to, but my family is Greek and they just don't understand why I won't eat perfectly good meat, and if I don't eat it they think I have an eating disorder. I really want to give it up because I love animals and it's a lot healthier, but I'm shy when it comes to telling my parents these things and I don't know if they'd understand. They'd probably make fun of me. What should I do?

Just tell them how you feel. They wont make up for of you for what you believe in.

About the healthier part.. eliminating meat of your diet isn't all that healthy. I suggest if you do, start taking vitaims. =)

I need advice on how I can start a petition. I need to know how I officially and legally start it and who do I present it to. How do I organize it? As you can see from my title, the purpose of the petition would be to have some sort of ruling against out-ruling the pledge of allegiance in schools or changing it.

Anyways, do you think because of 'under God' that after over 200 years, the pledge should be changed or withdrawn from any school. Why or why not? Thanks in advance.

I personally don't think it should be removed.
People are complaining about it, and how it's not fair. What happens if they do get rid of it, and people who wanted it can't say it. It's a lose-lose sititution. I think people who don't believe it's right should not say it. And people who are fine with it, let them keep doing it.

So I have had my cell phone since November (2005), I have a plan with my mom with Verizon for like, 2 years I think. I want to switch to Sprint, do I have to wait to do that till after my two years with Verizon is up? Cause I don't want too, lol.

okay so i have a creative zen micro and it wont turn on.. like it would but the little knob to pull to the left to turn it on (if you know what im talking about ).. i would have to pull it really hard in order for it to turn on.. and since it hasnt been working for me, i have been taking the batteries out and then putting it back in so it will turn on.. does anyone know why its like that?

my mom has this mole on her stomach, its not that big but its not small. She said its starting to come off. and it turned gray and it looks all cracked and stuff. she has a bandaid on it now. does anyone know what this could be? or if she could die. i heard that if a mole comes off you could die? im not sure im just scared. anything will help.

My neighbors enjoy loud music. They are generally good about turning it down when we ask, but lately they are obviously retaliating by being obnoxious in other ways (hollering, honking horns, etc.) One guy even came over and told my Dad that we should do our part and shut our doors and windows. Don't we have a right to fresh air? I don't want this to escalate, but I really find their loud music very rude. Does anyone have ideas of what to do without starting a neighbor war?

Well, if it's at night and your trying to sleep or if it's a continous sitution, I'd call the cops and make a compliant. They'll go the house themselves and tell them to keep the music down.

sorry about spelling, but I am really considering getting my cartilage (spelling?) pierced around my birthday day (July 1st) and I know this is a stupid question but how bad does it really hurt, and I don't really remember getting my ears pierced because I was young. And also when you do get your cartilage pierced how long do you have to keep it in? Well, thanks and if theres any other information about getting your cartilage pierced please tell me

It doesn't hurt. Your ear will turn red and feel hot afterwards. I had mine done, but it got infected and had to get it removed. Quite a few people end up getting it redone because it gets infected pretty easily. You have to keep it in I think for a few months before changing it.

So I don't usually get bad cramps, but yesterday and today I feel like someone it stabbing me in the uterus. Mydol doesn't work. Anything I can do? I already know the whole exersizing helps, I did last night and it didnt help. THANK YOU!

When I get bad cramps, I use a heating pad, and midol or tylenol get into comfy clothes and sleep it off.

If you keep getting severe cramps I'd go to a doctor.

I'm only sixteen and I have massive, dark bags under my eyes. And even when I get enough sleep, they're still there. Is there anything natural (in exception to things like plastic surgery) I can do to make the circles go away or hide them?

I mostly use MAC products.


You always want to look natural, unless your going for a dramatic look for a dance or something.

I use eyeliner to bring out my eyes, but I don't put like 10 pounds of it. I also use mascara (Maybelline XXL volume + strength) since my eyelashes aren't very dark or thick. I use coverup to get rid of circles underneath your eyes. And then I use blush. I don't put much make up on. But if you want anymore tips about like powder, how to apply eyeliner just ask ♥

Hi, I'm Erika, and this is the first question I'm asking on Advicenators. For my HS, we're doing an AD Sweep downtown. My teacher says we need to dress nice, sophisticated, and casual... and I'm not a very businessy type of person, so is there anything I could wear that would be, you know, "sophisticated"???
