Ok, so I have always hated my highschool, and thought that everyone in it was a shallow dimwit! But I recently got advice to try to get to now some people, mingle & be social, and maybe Iäll start liking it more. Right, so I did. I started talking to these two guys, who are best friends, pretty popular and pretty much WANTED by every girl in school, but I just wanted to be friends, right..so I started talking to these guys for the first time yesterday, and it was just for 15 minutes, helping them study, but I felt an immediate attraction to both of them, one of them is outgoing, loud, charming..and oh so popular, and the other one is also pretty popular (because he's hott) but really shy, quite, and looks pretty insecure. Now, the thingh is the're both BEST FRIENDS, and I would never start flirting with two bff that could end up terrible! But I know I'm gonna start liking these guys, so I would like to decide WHICH ONE to like, and just go for him, flirt with him, instead of with both of them, because what if they both end up liking me..that could be terrible!! So how do you decide which one to like? And also, what would be hard is that they both like different type of girls, so its better to just focus on one of the guys..15/f thank you! (link)

Hey girl, aw, this is hard. Try spending more time with each of them, but seperately, alone. See which one you end up being more attracted to, which one you have more fun with. Maybe see which one is more like you, that way if you did go out or anything you'd have more to talk about. Or maybe go for the one that isn't as much like you, because sometimes opposites attract. Aw, girl! Tell him straightforward that you don't like it. Haha, if you can't do that, try hinting at it. Try changing the subject, be like, "So, you wanna watch a movie?" I am in Middle School, and as you know there is alot of drama. And I have this guy friend who I used to have a crush on..and my friend told him. So it got really awkward between us and then I told him that I only like him as a friend. Well we started talking again for a little while, and then it faded into just saying hi every once in a while, and now we dont even talk. I try to talk to him but he either gives me short answers or just pretends like he didnt hear me. He isnt acting like he is all mad at me because at first I didnt think he was. But then today my friend asked him why we never talk anymore, and its because he said that its all weird because I keep looking at him. Which I looked at him once and that was because i thought he was talking to me. But anyways so then I was really upset and so I told her that I hated him. And she told him and he said "Oh that sucks" and then walks away. As if he doesnt even care. Please, I really want some advice. I want to be friends with him more then anything.

Okay, girl, you know what, he's a jerk. He's being rude for no reason, acting like he hates you because you 'look at him'? Wow, he should snap back to reality because he probably gets looked at by hundreds of people per day. If you want that badly to be his friend again, try talking to him in forced situations. Like homework, ask him what he got for number 2, or something of the sort. If he's rude about it, then he's really not worth your time. Honestly, he might hold a grudge for a bit, if he's stubborn, and not talk to you at all. It might take a little bit, but I bet you two can be friends again. Good luck! :]

Theres this guy i work with hes totally amazing. Hes military man, amazing personality, cute, shaved head - lol. Its not the type of thing where i love him. But i have a huge crush on him. I guess thats what you would call it. I dont work with him often but when i do he pretty much brightens my day. You would think it would all be great but its not hes somewhere in his 20's and im only 17/f. No work relationships aloud. It doesnt end at him tho Theres this other guy that i want so bad seriously i have liked him since the day i met him way back in june. Hes amazing too and he knows i like him But i have doubts about him liking me actually im pretty sure he doesnt like me.
I feel like i need to pick one guy but to do that id pretty much have to either quit working with the guy from work or stop talking to the other guy. Im really confused And tired of all this.
If you guys could give me any amazing advice it would be very much appreciated.

Well, okay, since you actually talk to the guy from june, I'd stick with him. Maybe he doesn't like you, but keep talking to him, once he gets to know you better I'm sure you guys could start a relationship. I mean, no offense at all, girl, but what if the guy from work doesn't like you? Then you would have quit your job for no reason, and that would suck! Also, how would you see him if you quit work? Would you get his number or something? If not, then definitely don't quit, cause you'd never talk to him anymore. He's aslo older, so think how hard it'd be to see him that often with school taking up lots of your time. So, I'd stick with the guy you've liked longer, but if you reallyy like this new guy, and you think there may be some chance he'd like you, then try it. Good luck girl! :]

Q: How do I backup my "Away Message" section?
A: The away messages for each screen name are stored in the Windows Registry. To back up the messages or copy them to a different computer, you need to export the appropriate registry "key" into a file. To restore the Away messages to the new machine, double-click on the exported file on the new machine.
WARNING : You can cause Windows to stop functioning if you make a mistake in the Registry Editor program. If you need assistance, find someone who is familiar with the program to help you. AOL cannot be responsible for any damage you do to your computer.
To export the registry key, follow these steps:
1. Exit AIM
2. From the Start menu, launch "regedit" from the Run dialog box.
3. Browse to the following registry key:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\America Online\AOL Instant Messenger (TM)\CurrentVersion\Users\YOUR_SCREEN_NAME\IAmGoneList 4. Left-click once on "IAmGoneList".
5. From the "Registry" pulldown menu, choose the "Export Registry File" menu item.
6. "The Export Registry File" dialog that appears, type the filename that you want to save the file as. Also, make sure that in "the Export range" section of the dialog, in "the Selected branch" option is chosen. 7. Click on Save to finish exporting the registry key.

I know this is a random question, but i am so anti-social! People try to talk to me and i want to be friends with them, i just can't bring myself to be myself with me. It's weird! I don't want to hang out with my friends ( i think im getting bored of them) and when i go to work, (which is where i enjoy myself) i can't be open with other and i act like an air head. Hey girl, hahah. I think you should open up more. Try & become more social. Maybe compliment people at work, like "I like your shirt". (It could be anything) Try to seem friendly & fun to be around, maybe you'll find newer friends that will make you wanna hang out with them. Hahah, I had a phase where I got so bored of my friends & I didn't want to go out with them, but one night I went out with them & ended up meeting tons of new people. Recently during a game, I think i pulled a muscle in my thigh area or something because it hurts! It's kind of hard to walk on my left leg and when i press against my upper thigh, it really hurts. I'm not even sure if i pulled something or if it's something else. But anyway, I have a really important game coming up this work, so i'm wondering if anyone has any ideas how to lessen the pain or make it better or anything.

Mm, it'd help if I'd ever heard that song. Haha, but I think I get the meaning of it. I think it means someone is chasing someone (because they like them), but they feel foolish for doing it, because maybe the other person doesn't want to be bothered with them? And then they're saying that until the person they're chasing after changes the rules (as in tells them to stop, maybe), they're gonna keep going after them. Hehe, cute. :]

I have a little bit of fat like above my hips. I think they're love handles, lol.
I'm doing crunches and situps and stuff. I wanna know, will those work to get rid of that, or is there some trick I don't know about? I'm not doing leg lefts - should I start? (link)

Actually, I know this sounds weird, but exericse doesn't really help lose love handles. It actually just makes muscle, making it look more firm & less flabby. A way to get rid of love handles is to diet, not an extreme one, just a light one to get rid of the flab. Here's a site on exactly what to do --

To gain weight you must eat more calories than your body burns off, so EAT MORE! The most important thing that I cannot over stress is that you need to eat to gain weight. You need to eat like you've never eaten before. (but not junk food like donuts and chips or candy). In other words, you need a weight gain diet.
Start eating six meals per day (space them out to about once every three hours). This is a weight gain diet used by those who know what they're doing.
Increase your protein intake and reduce your simple carbohydrate intake. Without protein your body cannot build new muscle.
Keep your workouts under one hour. Short and intense!
Concentrate on free weight exercises that work the large muscle groups. The best weight training exercises for building mass are the simple ones. For mass, stick with compound free weight exercises like squats, deadlifts, bench presses, barbell rows, pull ups and bar dips.
Do only 2-3 exercises per body part.
Increase you water intake. A good formula for this is to multiply your bodyweight by .66 to get the required number of ounces per day.
To get bigger boobs, though, you have to eat some fatty foods. Which, those will also help you gain weight, but it's not good to just store fat in your body. Boobs are made from fat tissue though, so if you want bigger boobs, eat fatty foods. Haha, but not tooo many.

okay i have longish red hair and have been wanting to dye it for the past like 4 years and i've highlighted it, put in lowlights and finally come to the conclusion that i just need to dye it a different color all together.. i tried asking my friends what color i should dye it and they all say "don't dye your hair! its such a pretty color!" but i dont like it and i think its more important for me to like my hair than other people.... anyways enough blabber...
i have light skin with freckles and greenish blue eyes, and i have not the slightest clue of what color to dye it and i need help deciding what would look best on me

I'd go for any brown color. Maybe a medium brown, like chestnut or honey. Those are gorgeous on original redheads. Seriously, my cousin was a redhead and she has green eyes just like you, and her hair is now a lightish-medium brown, and it's gorgeous. It just makes her eyes pop out, and I'm sure a similar color would make yours too. Good luck girl! :]

well i really would like to become an actress. i know there are probably thousands of girls in the country that wants to, so if you reply please dont tell me anything like that or anything negative.
heres are my strengths:
-i can be very dramatic
-i can do different voices, and im good at impersonating people
-im good at memorizing things
- and i just love to be someone different and hear different stories
weakness:
- i can be extremely, extremely shy around people i DONT know

Aw, girl, I am so shy in front of people I don't know, too. Just think of it this way -- Anyone watching you perform wants to be entertained. If you go all out on your performance, rather than be shy, the audience will love it. If you're shy in front of them, it won't be as fun to watch. So, to get rid of some of that shyness practice stuff in front of random people. Your family, maybe for a start. I know they're not strangers, haha, but have them sit down and do a scence or something. Then try doing scenes or people you sort of talk to at school, but don't know all that well. Eventually, you'll progress to bigger audiences, even ones that are filled with people you don't know. Just try to entertain the audience, don't worry about what they'll think of you. They'll love you as long as they're entertained, I bet. About number 2, I'm not sure, I'm sorry. But good luck girl!! :] Hope to see you in movies someday. :]

Jesus, I just got back from the Spelling bee. I had been studying like a fiend the night before (From 4:00pm-10:00pm), I had the whole Paideia memorized, and I was almost sure that I would be headed for Washington D.C. in a few months. OMG! GODDAMNIT! It was the first round, and they gave me a really easy word, and I completely forgot the word. The word was "notary." Isn't that an easy word? I bet everyone here can spell that word. I just blanked out on that word and forgot. They rang a little bell, and that signified that I was the 4th person out on the 1st round. I suddenly remembered how to spell the word when they rang the bell, but it was too late. I lost.
All of that hard work----flushed down the toilet. If it weren't for that stupid word, I know I could have won. I have never lost a spelling bee in my life. I need to talk.

Aw, girl, I'm so sorry. My dad did a spelling bee once, in like the 70s though, haha, and he lost on the word 'shovel'. Hahah, wayy worse than yours, I mean how easy is shovel? Hahah, he spelled it "shovle". He felt so bad, I mean it's not like he won a prize or anything, but he had studied so hard, and then gets out with shovel. Today I went to the salon and I wanted to dye my hair into a brown color. My hair was orginally black but after the stylist was done, it still looks black. The stylist said that since right now there is no sun and itz cloudy I wouldn't notice the color until itz sunny. The thing is I sort of notice that in the light itz a little lighter at the roots but the rest still looks black. So my parents are really pissed off at me cause they are telling me that I wasted their money and they said that it still looks the same. Will it look lighter when itz sunny? (link)

Sometimes after dying your hair it takes a week or so for the color to fade. It will msot likely get lighter, so no worries, girl. Plus, since your hair was black it was darker than the brown, so it'll take a little bit to show. But that always happens, like say someone had red hair and got it redyed red (cause the color faded out) well when it gets redyed it's really bright, but after a week or so it fades to the color they really wanted. So, just give it a week, & all should be good. Good luckk. :]

Hang out with friends, do fun stuff & you'll have an easy time getting over him. If he says he still loves you, but he's talking to some other girl, then how could he love youu? Wouldn't he want to stay with the person he loved? Teenage boys are so confusing. If he wants to get back with you & you really want to, then go for it.
