Today I went to the salon and I wanted to dye my hair into a brown color. My hair was orginally black but after the stylist was done, it still looks black. The stylist said that since right now there is no sun and itz cloudy I wouldn't notice the color until itz sunny. The thing is I sort of notice that in the light itz a little lighter at the roots but the rest still looks black. So my parents are really pissed off at me cause they are telling me that I wasted their money and they said that it still looks the same. Will it look lighter when itz sunny?

repeat this a few times and it will match the roots. i hope i helped ya hun [ luckybutt32's advice column | Ask luckybutt32 A Question ]

xThisOnesAKillahh answered Saturday March 18 2006, 10:56 pm: wow. this is the same exact thing that happened to me.
i dyed my hair black a month ago ..(my hairs naturally brown)and just last week i tried to dye it black cherry. and my hair ended up staying black but int he sun you could kinda see some red reflect off the top of my head. and my roots are like..pink. so i'm not sure that you'll be able to see the changes besides in your roots. DancinCutie08 answered Saturday March 18 2006, 10:48 pm: it will look lighter in the sun but i would give it atleast a day. sometimes it changes a little like when i dye my hair dark from for the first day my roots look blonde even though my hair isnt naturally blonde at all. if your unhappy go back to the salon and they should be more than happy to fix it but some have rules you have to go back within 24 or 48 hours so make sure you check! heyybaby answered Saturday March 18 2006, 10:18 pm: Sometimes after dying your hair it takes a week or so for the color to fade. It will msot likely get lighter, so no worries, girl. Plus, since your hair was black it was darker than the brown, so it'll take a little bit to show. But that always happens, like say someone had red hair and got it redyed red (cause the color faded out) well when it gets redyed it's really bright, but after a week or so it fades to the color they really wanted. So, just give it a week, & all should be good. Good luckk. :] [ heyybaby's advice column | Ask heyybaby A Question ]
