I'll try and condense this. There's been this guy who I've been chatting to online for years (nearly 3) and we are really, really close and truly do love each other. We are planning to meet soon as well.
But here's my dilemma. He was going on today about some girl who he is really worried about because a guy has been pestering her. I am currently in the dating stages of life (like many people). I have dated about 5-10 people and i am a nice guy who is just the plain average guy. But everytime i date someone i always end up being broken up for some "bad boy" or someone who is along those lines. my questions are simple.
I'd like to see your opinion on my latest moral quandry. hypothetically put yourself in the shoes of a soldier in iraq or afghanistan, you have the fortitude to engage and destroy the average insurgent with whatever weapon you can grab, be it a bayonet, or a mark 19 grenade launcher. you are on patrol in the streets of samarra or some other craphole city, and some 12 year old boy comes around the corner with a PKM(russian assault rifle) and opens up on your squad.
1: would you open fire with the intent to destroy the target, or to injure and disarm?
2:is it right, in a moral sense, to shoot and kill this kid?

okay, there's this guy i've gone out with 3 times before and i still like him a lot..okay i'd say he's my first "true" love..and well after 7 months i still like him a lot and the other day he asked me to go to a football game in his town. 16/m. You've probably heard this topic before, and might even be sick of it, but I am curious to know what any and all of you think a 'nice guy' is. Is he a pushover? or is he the one who will lend a should to cry on? I want to know what you personally think a nice guy is, what qualities and personality traits would follow him, if you would want to have a nice guy as a boyfriend, and should there be more of them. Sorry it's a long question, but because too many people have so many different views on what exactly a nice guy is; I think this will offer everyone a chance to see things from a different perspective - nobody is right or wrong in this one. okay, what should I do...I really like this girl and she says she likes me also but she has a boyfriend. We hang out quite and lot and have the best time because we are practically best friends. I want to stop liking her but I know the only way to do that is to stop talkin to her because if I do that makes me only liek her more. I tried doing this already but she got really upset and really sad and said it hurt her most out of anything, knowing she was loosing me...I dont know what to do...because we are such close friends and I really do love her
