The oldest band alive ?
I'm wondering what might be the oldest music band still playing with only founding members?
I'm mainly interested in pop/rock genre.

I believe that the Golden Earring, founded in 1961 and still together and touring, is the oldest band.
Many people think it's the Stones, but they were formed in 1962.

it's either the rolling stones, the stray cats, or black sabbath i know for a fact... you said nirvana!? what the hell dude... they're a 90's band and cobain died in 94'. gimme a break.

well, there are bands like...lynrd skynrd, nirvana,matalica, etc. that have some of the founding members...but really old bands, will usually always get a replacement..

Just a wild guess I'd have to say the Rolling Stones. They are way older than even I am! :)

im not sure if there still playing but i know they didnt break up.. Blue Oyster Cult..love there songs..also maybe nirvanna,there is a rock station on the radio right? classic rock? and i have comcast so if you look in where they have the music stations (well..its in the 500's in massachusetts,but i dont even know if you have it,or where you live :p) but they're might be some stuff there. Try looking on your tv for channels like that.Also there is -- Van Halen,Boston,Heart,and Yes. maybe you could look into those also,good luck!!
