I've been dating my current boyfriend for over a year now, annd I love the kid to death, but lately I seem to have lost a lot of my feelings towards him. And we were planning on breaking up in a few months anyways when we both go away to school, but I feel if I wait that long, its not fair to him, because I'm not fully in the relationship.. I just need some advice on how to break things off with him without completly breaking his heart, because he gets fairly attached when hes in a relationship, so the easiest way to do it would be best. -17/female.

the story I can't tell

I have a deep need to write about what my life was like and how I felt when I was a kid. I have kept diaries and journal-ed a lot and this compilation of my history is something I want to put down. I know it is theraputic and self-expanding and difficult at time to do this but I am even more afraid that if I am honest and the deeper parts of my childhood that were unhappy at best, will really upset my mother. It sometimes makes me feel paralyzed and I freeze on the spot hearing her voice saying "Why are you telling that? Must you bring up these things and betray me like this? How dare you.". I know good writers plow through and I suppose just have to decide to not care one whit what anybody thinks about what they write, they will ...

Awkward in person

Okay so I know that whole "it's only awkward if you make it awkward" phrase will probably apply here, but anyhow: I have a crush on a guy in my class. I'm 99% sure that he likes me back (he constantly stares at me and does all that body language stuff). But the problem here is that I never really get a chance to talk to him. I say little more than "hi" to him everyday, somethings a few sentences if I'm lucky. But online I've talked to him for hours. I'm afraid that I'm getting into the bad habit of not talking to him in person and that it might become awkward? I wouldn't say I'm a bad person. I don't like the fact that I don't have sympathy. But it's difficult. If it doesn't really concern me I don't feel sad for your sake..
For example..Today one of my classmates boyfriend's killed himself and she is pregnant with his child.
We are reading a book called Tears of a Tiger in class and it has a shit load on suicide and depression and guilt and death in it. And while discussing it she burst out crying and ran out of the room.
I know this is a terrible situation for her but I just can't muster any sympathy. I could fake it but that's just pretend..
I don't know what's wrong with me.

Ok I have a 3 year old westie And a 15 week old Maltese. Both are females. I got the maltese at 8 weeks. The two have sniffed eachother and sat next to eachother but that's it. My older dog was in her cage and the little one was running around she went by her cage and they both got down and that playful way. But the big one growled and almost bit the little one through the cage. What should I do? When is it ok for them to play? The Maltese is only 2.5 pounds and the big
one is 14 pounds.

Iv came to a point in my life where I'm deciding to quit smoking but my main concern is stress .that's why I smoke .working two jobs and dealing with people all day becomes stressfull for me .I don't smoke at home just at work and iv been hideing this from my wife for quite some time .the cologne the gum mothwash you name it .but its realy taking its toll on me ciggerets make me tired and I'm ready to quit now so I need help .what's the easist way to quit

Clear retainers.

I just got my braces of a week ago, after 3 years and was given new clear retainers, but im really concerned as my bottom row of retainers look like they havent been molded to my teeth during getting the mold taken because there are no contours in them, my top row are fine and fit perfectly but i feel like my bottom row of teeth are moving slightly already as the bottom set are quite a bit slacker than my top set. What should I do, because i do not want my teeth to be crooked after 3 years of braces !!!

For some reason whenever I am enjoying a perfectly happy moment and then my mind starts to analyze and go all..."why are you so happy, remember when...or what about this overdue bill or that mistake you made 10 years ago or..even...the dog needs a walk and you have not taken him and he is probably wanting to go...blah, blah, blah. I mean, insane stuff that makes me laugh out loud sometimes at the ridiculousness of it, but still, that little voice pops up and drives me nuts...why is this always butting into my happy space? I'm not Jewish or Catholic (joke) but it would be a great excuse, but is there some normalcy to this or should I just pack my Bin bag, as in "Looney" and maybe take up herion or extasy....dang, anything to shut that thing up, dude.

on the inside, i am an insecure person. people who really truly know me know that, many do not. i am constantly saying negative things about myself. people think that im doing it to get positive feedback and responses. to me, ive always put myself down since i can remember. the only reason i do it is because it makes me feel comfortable to point out my flaws before someone else has time to criticize them. how can i try to control myself from saying these things. its basically a reflex at this point. and i have been working on my insecurities over the years, and although they have dwindled, when it comes down to it, i am just a self conscious person at my core. basically, i just need some advice. how do i stop myself from criticizing myself openly? how can i ever really like myself? thanks
