this summer..

school ended two days ago and i really want to look my best for next year.
my goal is too loose 20lbs by August 31st. I'm doing this for multiple reasons. To feel better about myself, be at a healthy weight for my heart-problem, and to learn to take care of my body.
right now i'm 143lbs. i would LIKE to weigh 120-122lbs.
what i want to know, is what foods do I eat to help me loose weight? i was thinking about the Slimfast Diet but it seems kind of boring. If it helps, I'm a vegetarian.

and what excersises should i do?

Hey, im 16/f and i just wanted to know if there is a certain age that you have to be to buy diet pills? like if i went to target and bought some would they ask for I.D?

& which would you say work the best?

Hey,
So, I've been wanting to lose a little weight over the summer. I'm aaaalmost five foot, and I weigh about 98 pounds. I guess I'm not really fat, but for some reason, in my opinion I look kind of 'thicker'?

I would never want to look anorexicly thin, just thin. I need to be thin for cheering, actually. My bases complain too much weight, when I am 'pulling up'.
But anyway, I am going to have running for cheering three days a week, and I'm planning on doing a certain am...

Fast weight loss

I have a REALLY important ballet thing coming up THIS MONDAY- and I recently gained 7 pounds, but 2 of them I just gained yesterday. I'm PMSing right now, but I need a way to lose these pounds (or at least 2-5 of them) by monday. Today I'm trying to not eat anything, but It's REALLY hard because i'm starving! If I succeed, how many pounds should that take off? (i weigh myself first thing in the morning)

How much green tea do you have to drink to effectively boost your metabolism? The brand I have is called "legends of china" if that helps.

Cardio + strength = enough?

ONLY ANSWER IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT

If I run 1 hour a day, and do 30 minutes weight lifting a day, how long will it take me to get fit (if im already skinny and just have a tiny bit of extra fat I'd like to get rid of) ? Of course I'd be eating healthy while doing it. Do you expect it to take more than a month? (as i said, im pretty fit already, just have a tiny bit of extra fat!) I just need an estimation of time, of course I don't expect it to be exact.

how do you make your arms thinner. im skinny but my arms are huge and so it makes everything else look big! even when i lift weights, i heard that like it just makes it musclier and not thin. is that true?

also, upper part of legs. how do you make them thinner?!

Okay so for soccer we have to follow a training program to get in shape for next year. Pretty much right now it is something like 40 minutes to an hour of running a day. Now I went from doing nothing at all for exercise, to doing this everyday. I'm approxamately 140 pounds and 5'5. I'm not fat, but I got a chubby stomach and legs, and I've never been in really good physical condition. My question is when will I start seeing results? Like how soon? I have just completed the first week. I've also been eating well. I know I can't get a definite answer, an estimation would be lovely. =]

Ok, My weight is average for a 13 year old, but my doctor says I'm 8 pounds over weight. How can I lose weight an easy way without having to work too much? I'm kinda lazy with everything, so... I just need some advice on how to lose weight. And if you could, suggest some food. I like to eat.

okay so i'm like 5'5 i'd say but i'm not 100% sure, i could be shorter, but i'm 120. and i wanna be down to at least 110. it seems like impossible! i think i have love handles & i wanna get rid of them. umm if i run almost everyday & drink water & watch what i eat do you think i can do it in like a month? what else can i do, like excercises. and please don't answer unless you've done something like this before and it worked. no offense but i need answers not suggestions. thank you <33 =]

I've heard many times that it is healthiest to eat breakfast within an hour of waking up because it boosts your metabolism. But in the morning I want to walk for one hour..but I also heard it is better to eat AFTER exercising rather than before.

What can I do?

Are there any other ways to build long, lean muscles in your legs at the gym besides ballet/yoga/swimming? I mean specifically at a gym or health club. And how long would it take before you start seeing muscle tone?

5"1, 85 pounds. If I gained 10 pounds in muscle, how would it look different than if I gained 10 pounds of fat by eating cake and french fries and deep oil-fried Twinkies? Would I look slimmer?

am i overweight for my age?

i gained 5 pounds within 5 months , idk if that matters .
i know i dont eat healthy.
what are some healthy , but tasty things to eat like snacks.
i have fat free whipcream,strawberries,turkey,cheese,tomatos,oatmeal,lettuce,cucumbers,peanut butter,marshmellows(low fat),cookies, 2% milk and more, but can you make healthy foods out of that? ideas.?

16/f.. i was wondering what are the most affective fat burners that could help someone lose weight in a some what fast way. i was told that you have to work out while using them which i plan i doing i just dont know which ones to look at or try becuase i would like one that works. if any one can help me that would be helpful... thanks

i really like to run, i'm short so i can run fast, in fall when i play soccer myt endurence is good but i can't run far without huffing and puffing. i want to be able to run the mile run for our school fitness test in a good timev(ive past it the last 3 years but not like i would like to) any tips? also what are symptyoms of athsma? cause i might possiably have it
