Question Posted Wednesday June 20 2007, 3:15 pm

5"1, 85 pounds. If I gained 10 pounds in muscle, how would it look different than if I gained 10 pounds of fat by eating cake and french fries and deep oil-fried Twinkies? Would I look slimmer?

Gaining weight in fat makes you look a lot worse than gaining weight in muscle.

If you gained 10 lbs in muscle, you would look more slimmer, more toned, and more sexier

by the way, you are underweight.

Muscles--depends on which types of muscles and where and how you want to work them. You can look slim and toned or you can look muscular and toned.

As for the fat, you'll just loook fat and not to mention break outs.

So exercise and eat healthily.

10 pounds of muscle will make you look toned while 10 pounds of fat will make you look fat. and the fat will go to your stomach and thighs while you can work out and make muscles where you want them..if that make sense...lol

hope this helps!

Lol, if you gained 10 pounds in muscle, you'd look like you have muscles. You arms and legs would be toned, you'd look athletic.

On the contrary, if you gained 10lbs of fat, you'd be lumpy. The fat wouldn't distribute evenly. Hey, if you're lucky it would go to your butt and chest. But for most people, it'd go to your tummy and legs.

You would look slim with the muscles.
Its a great idea. :)

You'd probably look a lot healthier, since eating cake, french fries, and deep fried Twinkies will most likely make you puke your brains out at some point. Getting sick never looked good on anyone.

Working out is a better route- you'll improve your health just by moving, and you won't be eating crap in the process. And yea, you'd probably look slimmer, because if you gained 10 pounds of fat, who knows where it'd all end up, right?

:)
