one of my good friend's father just died of a heart attack on christmas. i left her a message on IM saying i was sorry and that i'm here for her and love her and all that..but what else do it do? has anyone here's parent died? what would you want? i'm guessing she just wants to be with her family. we are sending them a card. should i call her or go see her or..what?
yes,Well it really hasn't happened to me but it has happened to one of my friends what you have to do is just care for her that's all she needs send her a present like a teddy bear or somthing to show her that you care like that kids that live with me have to stay with me for four day because there mother died on friday may 13th 2005 and what makes them feel better is to just show her that you care so do that and see what happens

my grandma (I call her nina) is SO rude. I don't know what to tell her. She gets drunk and I have tried talking to her and she slapped me across the face. She GAVE me a cell phone before Christmas, then took it back! She makes me SO mad. I have NO ideas on what I can do to stop her. My brother is so disgusting. He's 19 .. almost 20 and he NEVER flushes the toilet *we share a bathroom* After he shaves he leaves all the little hairs all in our sink. He farts in public and burps randomly. Ive talked to my parents about this but he ignores them when they tell him to stop!

hey what i think you should do is leave your stuff in his space see what he does if he doesn't say anything pile you stuff on the counter and if he says move you stuff say no when your out i public fart really lou and embaress him put him in your shoes and see what he does when he invites you in your room bring some of your stuff in there and leave it scatter it in his room and make him learn a little responsibility

Well my family is a family with 5 kids. We are running sort of low on money. How couild I help them out. I mean my mom could nopt even buy shampoo the other day!
one thing you can do is you can have a garage sale sale some stuff that yuo dont want and make some money and give it to your mom another thing you can do is clean peoples houses and make like firty dollars a day every single week you could make like 120 dollars a week or how much you want there are alot of sulutions to making money for your mom I would give you money but I dont know were you live I am so sorry about this hope my advice helps good luck and trie it out another way you can make money is mowing lawns one of my friends did that and made 20 dollars for every lawn he did so trie this out and see if he helps please rate

My husband has smoked for years...35 to be exact. We have been married for 30 years. He is slim, but not very healthy, I think. He almost quit just recently and I was so proud of him and told everyone that I was. He was down to about one cigarette a day. I feel like garbage when he smokes because he does it in the house, car, whatever. It makes me feel like a smoker myself. I feel that if I wanted to smoke, I would have kept it up in college, so you see, I know what it is like to be a smoker, but not what it's like to be a non-smoker, even though I don't smoke. I am sorry this sounds bitter. I am mad. Tell me what to do. I am ready to move out. We have a great marriage, but I don't want to feel crappy anymore because of someone else's vice. He refuses to go outside to smoke.

what you can do is say you went to the doctor and you have asma and this is my house and you cant smoke in front of me or in the house and if he re refuses to go out side start coughing or you can limit the amount to 1 pack a week and if he doesnt then you can secretly get to his wallet and take his credit cards away so he cant buy any more another way you get him to stop is to go to the store and buy those patches and put them on him and tell him that he is not aloud to smoke or he will get nosiated if he doesn't like the patches you can go to the doctor or store and get some smoking pills that help they are at walgreens if you want to know what store they are in

Me and my friend stole some clothes from my cousin and we put the clothes in our bags but didnt take them out of the house. Well they found out that we stole the clothes and my mom and my cousins mom got in a huge fight and now my mom wants to call the police on my cousins mom because she was cursing at us. So will we get in trouble for stealing the clothes even though we gave them back?

well im 13 and my sister is 15 but for some reason, evertime a guy likes her or she goes out with someone, i get really pissed off and scare the guy away. ( I even gave a guy a black eye) I know that shes gonna go out with guys, but i dont want anybody to hurt her or take advantage of her. last summer, we went to the same summer camp, and a guy liked her and thats where i punched a kid. we tell each other everything so she knows about the gfs ive had (only 2) and she didnt like my gfs either. should i give a guy a chance, and am i being too overprotective?
yes you are being a little over protective but thats a good thing you care about your sister but if she likes a guy then let her go for it if she tells you somthing bad that the guy did like you said she tells you everthing then you can go and talk to that guy and ask him some serious questions trust me your sister probally knows how to take care of her self and if a guy does anything to her then she will probally do somthing about it trust me I am nine teen years old and all teenagers know how to take care of them selfs they are real smart...hahahah

im 99% sure my dad is cheating on my mom..i was looking at his cellphone one day and it was like his name..lets call him bill and this other girls name lets call her christy..it said bill and christy in love forever and there was a million messages saying i love you back and forth..plus my dad is never around so this isnt really a shock to me..but how am i suppose to tell my mom and should i because i wasnt suppose to be in my dads business anyways! what should i do???!
Tell your mom. Say, "Mom, I was looking for something and dad's cell phone started beeping so I looked at it and a text message came up saying "I love you." so I got curious and looked at his other messages and I found a bunch of love notes in there saying i love you and stuff." That should work because it's pretty much the truth. But tell your mom to confront your dad by saying, "I came across something on your phone. Some girl saying "I love you" a million times to you." Then, he won't be able to explain and you've caught him red-handed. Or spy on him when he goes somewhere. Spy on him with a video camera or regular camera or something. That way, you have proof! These are just some ideas to catch him and show proof, in case your mom doesn't believe you or your dad TRIES to deny it. This'll work.

My mom is an alchoalic..shes not the type that hits people but the type that gets drunk then lays down on the couch and passes out..but shes so embarrasing..like ill have a friend over and she'll be drunk on the coach and i dont know what to say! but my ? is how can i talk to her about her illness? and does anyone else have an alchoalic parent because i would really like to talk to some people and here there stories..so leave me your screen name so we can talk thanks!
I would talk to her about her illness and tell her how you feel about her passing out every day and when your friends come over, it's embarassing to you. Tell her not only do you feel embarassed, but you feel scared and worried that she could die of an early age because of her disgusting habit. Show her that you care about her and make sure she understands how you feel and doesn't take it the wrong way. She may get offended if she is drunk so you might want to tell her when she's sober. She should understand and if she doesn't, take her to a doctor so she can know how dangerous drinking is and how badly it can effect her body dramatically. Not only can she die, but she can become seriously ill and have to go to the emergency room and this is a very serious problem. Tell her that if she does drink, to not do it so much as to get drunk every day/night. She should understand.

My sister has been smoking for over 6 months. She's only 16. I live with my mom and my sister so out of us three I'm the only one who doesn't smoke. I hate second hand smoke and how they don't even care enough to smoke outside. I've asked them numerous times to smoke somewhere else but they tell me to deal with it. My other sister who is 27 comes over with her boyfriend and they also smoke. My brother and I are the only ones who don't smoke but he doesn't even live here. I get so mad and my sister and I get into fights over this. What should I do? They don't think I have any right to be mad or anything and it's just not fair.
okay my mom had a freind who died of lung cancer from smoking a way to get them to stop is to buy them some of those pills that help you quit reall easy i think they are at walgreens if that doesnt help there are little patches that you can buy and you stick it on the middle of the arm and tell them that it helps you to not smoke and also tell them that they cant smoke at all and see what it does

me and my parents have never got on i was kinda sexual abused by my dad (not going into detail) and my mum never did anything about it i didnt know what was going on as i was young at the time, now its 5 years later i know there was something wrong about it, i have cut my wrist many times and mum and dad know i have tryed to kill myself just endded up on a drip for days my friends and boy friends will do anything for me but i dont feel like its enough at the moment im always gettin into arguments with my dad whenever i say u hav hurt me he like denies it and says he has never touched me (which is complete bulls**t) and he knows it, i want to do anything i can to hurt him to get him abck for the times he has hurt me and all he seems to do is punish me hes really stubborn and wont listen to anything i say at all he just wants to take things away from me and i dont know what to do anymore, going into hospital and cutting my wrist didnt seem to make him think that he was the one hurting me, my mum wont listen to me and whenever i say something to her she goes off crying and my sister does the say i feel like im all allone all the time and dont knwo what to do aymore :'( when id did get a social worker they didnt believe me because my mum dad and sister lied and now i have a counseller all she does is go on my parents side and it p**ses me off!

Ok I am 16/m and my father recently passed away. He was the only one taking care of me and my little sister, Sarah.(my mother diched us when Sarah was born.) Sarah is only 6 and I've been trying to take care of her and myself but it's not working. We don't have any other relatives that she can go live with and I can't keep taking care of her. My school counselor has been trying to help us anyway he can and he recommended handing her over to the state. He said that it would be easier on the both of us if I did and it would give her a chance at a better life. He said that there a lot of foster families out there who end up adopting the children that they take in. Does anyone know how the "system" works? I mean if I do give her to the state will she be safe or is she better off with me? It's really hard for me to take care of her and I don't feel like I'm a good parental figure. I have a job but it doesn't pay enough to take care of the two of us. So if anyone knows anything about the foster care system or whatever it's called please let me know. I want to make sure that it's safe for her so that I can determine what will be better for her. Thank you.

I am constantly insulted by my sister. Before, she would make fun of me, which I would just shrug off, but lately, its been getting to a point where I just feel like there is no point to anything. I cant even cry when she says things to me, I just shut down, and let her go on and on.
Like tonight, I walked into the living room, and she began to swear at me. She said that I am a psycho, and that she cannot wait for me to leave for school (college in the fall) because I am worthless. I have not even said anything to her at all at this point, I really don't know what I did.
What I really dont understand is how she will talk to me one night insultingly, and then the next day she wants me to go shopping with her.
I really dont understand it-if anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it
dont get a bad temper with your sister but go and tell your mom and dad what she has been saying dont scream at her because you will be the one guilty if you tell you r mom or dad they can take care of it if you cant tell your mom or dad talk to you sister calmly and let her know that everything she says is hurting your feelings
