what's the best way to gain weight, besides eating alot? thanks
well muscle weighs more than fat, so therefore if you gain muscle, you will gain weight and weigh more. so i would suggest working out and eating foods filled with protien, because protien helps build muscle.

Ok so i am 13 5'2' and 120 lbs. My mom said that I need to lose 15-20 lbs before we go to Hawaii in March. but I love junk food. Any tips on how to give up junk food?

there's these rice cakes by quaker...they have all sorts of flavors and they're really low calorie and fill you up easily...i would suggest those...they helped me lose weight.
also really sweet fruits would be good to satisfy your taste.
and crystal light....that's really good and it fills you up.
and i would definitely suggest water because the more you drink, the more you're filled up, which means that you're less likely to eat more [junk food]

i want to do palaties or yoga i'm not sure which one is best for me though. i'm a soccer player 15/f and i wanna becaome more flexible and i'm hoping one of them will help me shed a few pounds in my stomach and thigh area. which one woul dyou suggest..and i'll probably just go to best buy and buy a dvd workout thingy
i'm also a soccer player, and i would do palaties. they're better for the core muscles.
yoga is more stress relieving. i took that...and it made me fall asleep lol.
but if i were you, i'd do palaties and then just stretch out on your own because your body will train itself little by little to become more flexible the more yous stretch.

okay im overweight and i really need to start losing weight. i mean i look at my self and i am definetly not happy for letting myself get out of shape. so i know a lot of exercises i can do but what i need help from you guys is with the foods. what are some good foods for losing weight. ya know like foods i can eat and arent bad for you. please help and i will rate. thank you!
fruits, veggies, pastas, wheat thins, saltine crackers. oh...and meat without the fat. like...chicken! chicken's great and i suggest having it grilled and then cut up into a salad with italian dressing. it's really good!
eat things with complex carbs so that you can burn them off instead of pack them on. pasta and saltines have those...so go for it and just exercise to burn them off. the fruits have natural sugars that work with your body, so those kinds of sugars are fine.
drink water. lots and lots of water. stay away from soda and fruit juices. stick to water & milk. it'll keep you hydrated while exercising and it won't pack on carbs and fat like the soda and fruit juice.
portion control...don't over indulge just because it's healthy food. savor the flavor!

start eating healthier foods....pasta, veggies, fruits...that way, you have carbs you burn off, not put on. and drink water. lots of water. and stay away from the fruit juice and such.
also, get oiutside. exercise. do crunches, walk around the block a few times a day, better off, run around the block more than a few times a day. walk to the park with a friend. get a bunch of friends together to play a soccer game or something at a local school.

just another tip, eat things like pasta and fruits and veggies b/c they have carbs that you burn off and they work more naturally with your body, and drink water. water water water. that way you'll avoid the sugary drinks that will help you reach your goal.

do not eat alot to try and get bigger thighs. that will catch up to you later when you're older. i say do lunges and stuff to build up muscle which will make them bigger, but also muscular and toned.

you probably have a really really high metabolism. one of my best friends is like that and she's nearly 15 and looks like she's in 5th grade b/c of it.
you can't control your metabolism. i would try and eat portions like a regular sized person, because it may catch up to you in your future years.
&& just b/c you're small, that doesnt change you as a person!

don't eat alot of fat foods...that is just bad for your health on the inside of you. if you want to gain weight, start eating protiens, good carbs, and start working out. that way, you will gain muscle which will help you gain weight. hope i helped!

no mother should make fun of her child if they told her that they wanted to lose weight. so not cool. you don't have to tell her if you dont want to. just start eating healthier on your own and exercise on your own like in your basement and such. stick to fruits and veggies and crackers and stay away from the junk food. and try n stay away from sugary drinks. stick to water, milk, and 100% juices. hope i helped!

you can run around your neighborhood, dont drink soda, go for milk and yogurt and other dairy products and fruit veggies and water. exercise daily like half an hour to an hour (but have a water bottle by your side)...that should lose you about a couple lbs in 2 days. try to stay away from the fatty foods like candy and when you're eating meat, don't eat the fat off it (ick!). good luck and if you need anything else, drop 1 in my inbox...hope i helped!

i excersize, go to gyms..dance..swim..a bunch of stuff..n it hasnt seem to work.

eating 3 or more servings of dairy a day helps you lose weight->try Dannon's Light & Fit Yogurt
cardio workouts (like running) work your whole body->try running around your neighborhood
give up soda->people who drink soda are heavier than people who don't drink soda
try to do lots of cardio workouts->instead of just running, do lots of dancing (just to music on the radio or cd's) and swimming
try the south beach diet->look for the foods made by Kraft in your local grocier...they will say South Beach Diet on them and they have healthy and good tasting foods
try not to eat too much junkfood

eat lots of dairy. dannon's light and fit yogurt works really good-I use it. do lots of sit ups and get a work out book and look up locusts. the locust is a move that tones your butt and abs hope i helped!
I'm a bit overweight and so I've always been a little bit embarassed to exercise in front of people. It seems to just make things worse for me, because then I don't feel like I get enough exercise in the day, but I hate running because I'm slower and always afraid somebody will see me, and I don't even like doing stuff at home because my mom and dad might see me. Any good tips for conquering my fear or ways to exercise alone?
exercise when no one's home or in the basement or your room. you can run afterschool around your neighborhood with a friend...that would be the best way to tone your body because it works the core muscles and all of your body. even though yoiu hate running, it's the best way for you to get in shape. good luck & hope i helped!

you should run. another good way to lose weight is to go on a high calcium, low calorie diet. try the 3 yogurt a day plan. drink milk at lunch and have orange juice with calcium in the morning. you should also work out...like get into kickboxing or something active like that.

May 1st I'm going to have to wear a white dress for this really REALLY important thing of my entire life. I've been eatting like a pig beause... I guess its anxiety. Well I want to loose weight. Also, avoid the things that make me gain weight. I was thinking of diet pills but I hear they are REALY bad for you. Anyway, any tips to loose as many weight as I can in less than 2 months? Im not exactly looking for permenant diet plan just... an emergency one. Maybe if I only ate a certain amount of calories... or didn't eat or drink nothing but water... or... did a certain excersice. dont drink soda, eat healthy, stay off the junk food, run and do cardio exercises, drink lots of milk (helps lose flab around middle), and dont drink diet soda either cause it makes you feel icky, dont go anorexic cause it makes you be isolated, dont skip meals cause it slows down your metabolism. good luck and no diet pills. drop one if you need it

okay, you are not fat or overweight because if i am the same age (14 in april) and i weigh 110 lbs. if you really feel the need to lose weight, drink more milk, dont drink alot of soda or carbonated drinks, and do cardio workouts. those all help you lose weight around your middle. hope i helped!
