just another tip, eat things like pasta and fruits and veggies b/c they have carbs that you burn off and they work more naturally with your body, and drink water. water water water. that way you'll avoid the sugary drinks that will help you reach your goal.
LiLmissMelanie answered Monday June 19 2006, 9:39 pm: ok if you want to loose weight, the best thing to do is to eat ALOT of fruit salad, and salad. like switch off on those everyday for lunch.also, grapefruit for breakfast is good. trust me, it helped alot last summer when i tried to loose weight. you should also take in a sport. tennis, swimming, volleyball, basketball, whatever you like. you should play your sport for about 1 hour 30 minutes or 2 hours a day. it helps build the fat into muscle. you should also walk on the treadmil or ride a bike for like 20 minutes every day. stop eating sweets, and watch what your eating.. it'll really help. try your hardest in every day to not eat tempting foods, and work hard in those sports. i fully support the fact that you want to loose weight. if it makes you happy to be thin, well you'll work your way there. good luck!

vermillion26 answered Monday June 19 2006, 8:54 pm: #1. You really don't need to lose wieight for any health reasons, if you are self-concious then the plan you have is good. I'll comment on it to make it more effective.
Power walking is a good idea, once you start to get a little more fit then you might want to try some light jogging and then into running. Like someone said 17 workouts are mostly for toning muscle, but they are still good. Cardiovascular excersizes such as jumping jacks, etc. tend to be the best for wieght loss. A healthy diet is always good, wether you are trying to lose weight or not.
You don't really have to do this EVERYday, you can give yourself a break once in a while. A plan like that is very ambitious. You might want to ease yourself in. If you are not used to being active you might not be able to take a hardcore workout at first. Try to do some lighter excersize first, jumping on a trampoline, swimming, walking, etc. and then move into the more physically demanding stuff. If find that the plan you have set out for yourself is too hard, don't give up completely. Make a new plan that is more to your skill level and then work yourself up to more difficult excersize.
Please don't go overboard, 20 lbs. is a lot, but if that is your goal then please do not go past that point. It is hot, so keep yourself hydrated (you should always keep yourself hydrated when you are sweating excessively i.e. exersizing). Don't push yourself too hard. Good Luck and I hope I helped.
candyxkisses answered Monday June 19 2006, 8:14 pm: first of all, use a BMI calculator to find out how overweight you really are. i did one for you, and you're only slightly over the "healthy" weight for your age.
the speedwalking is a good idea, try running sometimes as well.
the 17 workouts are very good, but are more for toning muscle rather than losing weight. still do them, but understand that you'll lose more weight doing to other things.
eating healthy is your best idea. nothing beats a good diet, and you also benefit your body, not just lose weight.
for other workouts, they're smart as well. use videotapes, etc.
i'm positive you'll reach your goal, if not exceed your goal, if you follow your plan.
Meetmyyimshi13 answered Monday June 19 2006, 8:11 pm: you're 5'1 and 13. 130 punds is normal. you don't need to lose anything, but if you really feel the need to then don't lose more then 10 cause lower then 120 at your age and with your heaight is really unhealthy. If you have a pool then you could do laps in that. That helped me a lot. Your workout plan seems fine, but you shouldn't lose 20. It's not healthy.
