fruits, veggies, pastas, wheat thins, saltine crackers. oh...and meat without the fat. like...chicken! chicken's great and i suggest having it grilled and then cut up into a salad with italian dressing. it's really good!

eat things with complex carbs so that you can burn them off instead of pack them on. pasta and saltines have those...so go for it and just exercise to burn them off. the fruits have natural sugars that work with your body, so those kinds of sugars are fine.

drink water. lots and lots of water. stay away from soda and fruit juices. stick to water & milk. it'll keep you hydrated while exercising and it won't pack on carbs and fat like the soda and fruit juice.

portion control...don't over indulge just because it's healthy food. savor the flavor!

hope i helped & if you need anything else, drop one in my inbox!

I understand what you're going through; I used to be overweight myself. My advice would be to try and stay away from foods high in carbohydrates (most grains like bread and pasta)Things like meat and cheese and things high in protien are very good since they keep you from being hungry all the time. If you want to, you can keep a "food diary" and you count up how many carbs and calories you ate for the day;try not to go over 1,500 calories and 150 carbs (Get to know and read nutrition labels). I know this sounds really hard, but once you get the hang of it, it gets easier. Only eat sweets on special occasions and TRY to get at least 30 minutes of exercise 4-5 times a week. Trust me... if it worked for me it can work for you

Here are some little changes that will help a lot...

-Eat fruit
-Eat vegetables
-Not so much fuit juice (has a lot of sugar)
-DRINK A LOT OF WATER (trust me drinking water helps clear out your system and will help a lot with your diet)most thirst is mistaken with hunger
-Really try to eat more whole weat, the white bread are usually all fat
-Ask you're mom to buy 1% milk if you don't already
-Just have 15 min. of good exercise a day!

Hope i helped :)
