I have Bipolar 1 Disorder. I hate taking all these medications and always going to doctors appointments, but life is too short to let mental illness get the better of me.

Often times life is a challenge, and nobody knows that better than me. I wake up wondering if this is going to be a day my illness overpowers my meds, and either sends me flying like a bat out of hell, or leaves me laying on the couch like a wet dish rag.

Thank all that is good in the world that I have an excellent support system at home.

I use those rather than the screws. They are a little tricky to get in, but not as much as the screws, and not as easily lost as studs.

Yes, I just push the straight end in and give it a little turn and it is in there.

ok... i know i sound insane, but im 14/f
some guy i love in florida wanted to kill himself
i felt helpless and i tried to stop him. i told him i would tell my mom, but we live a good day away from him.
i couldnt do anything, i dont know if he died.
i wanted to kill myself, i love him, and i couldnt stop him.
at first, i tried to hang myself, i became shaky and delirious
so i tried to calm down, and i couldnt.
so i went into the kitchen, and grabbed the nearest pill bottle, ibuprofen.
i put the bottle to my mouth, and swallowed.
the problem is, i swallowed seven. i know i sound crazy, but ive NEVER overdosed in my life with anything.
i am freaking, because after i realized what i had done, i researched it, and it says to seek immediate medical attention... but i cant.
i worked too hard to gain trust in my mom.
its ten of three in the morning.
i am afraid of the sideeffects of what i have done...
i need to know, its still early... is there anyway i can reverse it? stop the pills effects? wash them out of my system? anything. i dont need to be lectured, i need to know how to stop this.

The only way to get the pills out of your system is to seek immediate medical attention.
Call Poison Control, they will tell you the same.

It is better to tell your mom now and worry about trust issues later. She would much rather you come forward and say "this is what I did, I need to go to the Emergency Room" than to find you laying dead.

why is it impossible to travel faster than the speed of light? and i dont get how light travels that quick.. or why we cant have like machines such as planes travel faster than it. any theories on what would happen when you travel faster than light? my sister says that like also planes travel faster than sound.. how is that possible? what are these like speeds of sound and light? i dont get it. and my sis also thinks that when you travel faster than light you could go to like a black hole or something? btw my sis is 14 and im 13.. so please put it in terms i can kinda understand. thanks!

is there any way to tell if you have been banned before. I had 2 accounts on here and i got banned on one of them, (it wasnt serious and it was only for like a day) because i really want to be a featured user but if i was banned then i cant be, so how can i find out?

1. where is heaven? i know that hell is like probably at earth's core, because that makes sense, but heaven isnt in the sky or we would have spotted it, and past the sky is our universe.. unless heaven is someplace in our universe? and does EVERYTHING go to heaven when it dies? even bugs and animals and stuff? if so, when an alien (if they are real) dies on a diff planet, it will go to our heaven?

1. I don't believe one would know where Heaven is, until they get there. Why? It is a spiritual place. One doesn't see spirits floating up to Heaven, so in turn doesn't see Heaven, either.

I believe that all of those that believe in Heaven is who will maybe go there, just like those who believe in reincarnation maybe come back. I believe it depends on each person's beliefs as to what their afterlife is like.

2. Once someone asked if they would go to hell for being homosexual. The way I see it, with all the murderers, rapists, and pedophiles out there, why would a person be Hell-bound just because they are gay?

Besides, who goes to Heaven and who goes to Hell is not up for we mortals to judge- it is up to God.

3. Crop circles were supposed to be some sort of proof that extra terrestrials had been here. I don't know, maybe the odd shapes were meant to look like where they landed their ship or something, but I'm not real sure about that.

I do know that most, if not all, were discovered to have been made by guys smashing their crops with plywood, etc.

im in my 40's/male. i was married for about 20 years with the most amazing women known to man.
i have cheated on her with about; 10 different girls, but only had 3 actuall girlfreinds. we have been seperated for about 1 year; im now with my girlfriend she caught me cheating on her with. she doesnt know about the others.

You should go and seek some sort of counseling for your cheating problem.

omg, my friend. is being such a big huge slut. and doesn't even care. she sends naked pictures of herself to guys she doesnt know, her mom found out , she doesnt care and still does it. then she sent it to this one girls boyfriend, and his girlfriend freaked out. You can't make her stop. Period.

It is her life to live, not yours, and to be quite frank, it is not your business if she is a huge slut or not. If she wants to be a slut, nothing you can say or do will change that because it is HER life choice.
What you can do as her friend is to make certain she is aware of the risks of pregnancy and STDs.

She will have to realize that YOU don't have to agree with what she does. She needs to respect you enough to not fly off the handle when you disagree with her.

You need to have a good sit-down talk-about with her about the difference between what she thinks is ok for her and what you think is ok for you.

Let her know that you don't like her behavior, and understand there is nothing you can do to change that, but SHE needs to understand the fact that you don't agree with it, nor will you pretend to.

I wouldn't ditch the friendship over her behavior, but I would if she didn't respect me enough to 'agree to disagree' and not make issues about it.

I know you're not a therapist or anything, but I think I might be depressed, or something else. I'm not too sure. I was going to ask YG this question but I figured she's very busy. I would ask my mom to bring to to a therapist, but I'm too embarrassed face to face with somebody. I know something is wrong with me. Is there anybody on this site you can recommend to me, who will be able to try and figure out what is wrong with me, help me cope, and build up confidence to go to a therapist? It would be easier if they have AIM, or even E-mail. I need help, and I know you might not be able to help me. Maybe I could get an online therapist or something. A debit card runs off of a checking account. You deposit money into the checking account and use the card rather than checks.
You can withdraw money and check your balance at an ATM.
Yes, you can order from the internet. I do that all the time. It is just like using a credit card to purchase the item, except you aren't accumulating debt in the process.

I hav a friend and she has always been great to me. Ok the story is that I like this guy and she did too. But then she had told me she stopped liking him so me and him were hanging out and talking on the phone and stuff. But today I found out from her sister that her and this kid were swimming together because she was trying to out-do me. She is being a jerk and I don't know why. Not cutting down your dream or anything, but if you can't get a job, you can't make that kind of money.

My advice? Put off planning your trip for another year or two. That way you will have time to become old enough to get a job and set aside the money.

How do you prevent cramps in your calves and feet in the middle of the night?

I don't get them very often, myself, but my dad is a firm believer in drinking V8 juice to prevent them.

I don't know exactly how the juice helps, but I assume all the nutrients are just as good for your muscles as they are for the rest of your body.

If you are doing something like running, or anything that gives your legs a good work out, try relaxing your muscles in a warm bath before you go to bed.

How can I keep my cool when dealing with a rude coworker?

If they are really rude with you, say daily, then you need to report it to the manager and let them deal with the problem.

If they are just being short with you, say every now and then, keep in mind we all have our bad days.

If they are just having a bad day, maybe you can talk to them about what their problem is, or just try to cheer them up. For example, I will act silly or say something funny to get them laughing. That always helped in putting them in higher spirits.
