um... hostel is scary, but like half of it is porn. and then like a gore fest. um the saw movies are pretty scary. the omen was scary, i think. scream movie, they dont scare me, but my friends get scared by them. 28 days later && 28 weeks later. (i never saw this one but i heard it was scary, cold creek manor). texas chainsaw massacar (obvious). the decent. house of wax. (wasnt uber scary, but i loved it, cry wolf). wolf creek. an american haunting(SPELLING?). black christmas. rest stop. stuff like that. hope i helped.

The Grudge, The Omen and The Exorcism of Emily Rose are really creapy. The Grudge is like scary but not really gory. The Omen is plain creapy. The Exorcism of Emily Rose is disturbing...lol

hm.. i'm not usually up to scary movies, but some of my friends who can watch almost anything have said Wrong Turn was scary. actually, my friend refuses to watch it, aha. also, Blaire Witch Project is VERY creepy.
sorry i haven't reccomended too many.. i'm just not the scary movie kind of person, haha. :)

For me I think it would have to be The Manitou. It's quite an old film now so I am not sure if you can get hold of a copy. It might be worth googling it.

Descent is actually pretty good.
Hostel isn't too scary but gorey...
Movies really don't scare me really so it's hard for me to think of any.
Cabin Fever freaks me out though.
& Saw isn't too horrible.

The Exercist is an increadibly disturbing movie, and if you watch it...make sure you watch the Directors Cut, as it has the subliminal pictures that was removed for the theatrical release (it appears for less than a second..and I can assure you it's quite unpleasent).
I would also recommend the movie Dead Silence (as a personal preferance). Although it was something of a low-par horror movie..it is actually quite scary (especially those with a fear of dolls).
But don't just go for the "boo!" kind of scary where something jumps out at you...go for the psychological and disturbing horror movies. After all, that is what a horror movie is supposed to do, disturb and disrupt the viewer. The new horror movies coming out these days just want to shock audiences.
I would also recommend any of the Horrorfest movies, especially the film Unrest.

The excorsist is really scary. I havent seen it because everyone I know was terrified of it and my mom won't even let me until I move out because she couldnt sleep for so long after it. Ha ha, but I'm gonna ask her if I can get it anyways
