Hey Everyone :) I'm Kate and a level 2 mod on here. I've had this account since July 2004, so I've been on here since I was 13! Wow ... crazy for me to think how long ago that was. I will admit I don't check in as often as I once did, but being away at college, being in a sorority, and having a job when I'm not at school is very time consuming. I still try to help out as much as possible, and if you send me a question I WILL answer it. This site helped me a LOT when I was in high school and had a lot of questions, and I'm here to help anyone who needs it :) Feel free to write in my forum or send me a question any time!

how much is it to rent or buy a tuxedo?

The most you will spend to get a fairly nice tuxedo, is around $200, the least is $50. So if you have around $100, then you're still good, and will be able to pay.

Okay..I'm not sure if anyone can awnser this question for me, but just incase someone can i'm gona ask. I recently did dxm..its also known as skittles. And i know thats really stupid. Now i'm regretting it. I'ts about a day after and I'm feeling really dizy still. Like i did when I was on it. I'm thinking i should probaly go see a docter but mabye everyone feels like this? I did it with my bf too and he doesnt feel it any more..so i'm starting to worry. I'm also on anti depresseants so i think that might have something to do with it. Plz dont delete this question. Okay a tip on doing drugs, NEVER EVER do drugs if you are on another type of medication. That could really mess up with the drug, the high will not be a type of high you would normally feel, and you could get very sick, or poisened, because of mixing those two(2) substances. DO AS MFS SAYS, SEE A DOCTOR, we'd rather you be alive and embarassed, then dead from a stupid mistake of doing a drug while on medication. Besides DXM is a hard drug anyways. Stick with weed, it won't do anything to you.

I just wanted to thank the columnist who answered my question......and say I know that is what I should do, what I need to do, it's just so hard to throw your kid out but my kid is 30 years old!and Something has got to give. I am surprised my husband has not said anything about it! After reading your alls advise, I am gonna HARDEN MY HEART and give 4 months to move out, if they are not out in 4 months...they can move in with her dad in his 2 bedroom trailer!

Your an adult with a 30 year old child. Thats a tad strange that at your age, you type the way you do. Are you sure you weren't just looking to see what people say? Thats where I get most of mine, and there is even a search thing, where if you want one with your name or a special name, all you have to do is put in that name, and it'll come up with every icon like that.

Thanks for your suggestions. Would it look ok to wear the pinstripe pants with a black (kind of a V neck) tank top and then a blue button up quarter length shirt over the top, with one or two buttons buttoned?

About my hair... like a normal pony tail? I was thinking maybe leave it down and curl it with clips holding part of it up. What do you think?

Well, curls sound like it would look cute, whether it's curls up, or the way you suggested. You don't want to look to girly or anything though, somehow I don't think they'd take you serious, like a legally blonde thing, don't go to far out like Elle. I definitley like the hair suggestion though, I think it sounds cool.

Makeup, well eye shadow to match what your wearing, maybe a light blue, or a white. Foundation, and if you want something on you lips, then gloss, not lipstick, unless it's not too dark.
Mascara of course. Uhhh, thats all I can think of at the moment. Hope I helped out some. If you have any female siblings, then ask them too. Any input from girls are helpful. Just remeber you're on a job interview, so make sure you also have a serious, yet fun and easy to work with look also.

Hi there! I've got my own column on here (EMiLYELiZABETH) but today I'm needing some advice.

I'm 2O/f and tomorrow I've got a huge job interview with the police department. My question is... what should I wear and how should I do my hair?? It's brown with reddish highlights, half way down my back (about to the bottom of my bra). I like it either up or down, so that isn't an issue.

As far as what to wear, I was wondering about pinstripe pants or a skirt? Also, what kind of shirt? I've got a few nice sweaters or some that I can layer with.

Any help would be GREATLY appricated!! Thanks so much!

Hair up in ponytail, or a bun. Pinstripe pants, and a white shirt, or depending on the color of the pants, choose a shirt, I only said white because it matches everything. So really, unless your unsure, use a white shirt, or sweater, just make sure it looks good together. I like the proffesion you are choosing, I think it'd be cool to work with the police department, but I'd rather be a fire fighter. Remeber, first impressions are important, don't get freaked out or anything, but pretend you own your own business, and then think of what you might consider professional for somebody to where on the interview. I'm only a 13 year old girl, but but I'm also a freshman in high school, and I know my fashion!!

I NEED to learn how to swallow pills... i just cant do it, i have a huge gag reflex but i'm in so much pain and the only med. i can get is swallowable. Anyone know any tricks??

Well, I have a terrible gag reflex, I swallowed a pill once in my life, and it took me over 10 minutes. Yeah, terrible isn't it.
My doctor suggested to me to try it with M&M's. What I think might do the trick, is when chewing something, right before you swallow, stick in the pill, that way you won't be concentrating on the pill, just on whatever else your eating. Usually the pills you have to take are meant to NOT be cut up, so you have to actually learn to swallow them, my dad used to open them up, and the things on the inside, he'd put into my pudding or ice cream, I've always been afraid of choking, once I choked on something, and I was so scared to eat I went aneorexic for almost 3 years. It's crazy, but true.

He's been telling everybody what, that you like him? If so, tell him to shut the f*** up. I don't really know what to say. It won't happen if you say it nicely, trust me I've tried. There are going to be plenty of boys, and most of them will be sickos, or liars. If you act like it doesn't bother you, it'll start to get worse, then lighten up, because they will realize nothings going to happen. But if it really does get out of control, you can file for harassment, or something like that. If you talk to him, and he keeps is up, tell a guidence counciler, or a teacher, and they should help make it stop. Boys will be boys, and boys are asses, it takes real girls to learn to ignore it, and move on with everything else, I mean come on, if you liked him, you'd be dating him, Most people would realize that.
Good luck with that, gosh, the guys you can't stand are all over you, and the guys you adore don't know you exist, whats up with that??

They check out your vagina. I've never been to one, but since you don't have any other answers, I figured I could tell you what I've heard.

They lay you on this chair thingy, like at a regular doctors, they make your legs stretch out, and they check out your genitilias (if thats a word... I just like to say it, it sounds funny lol)

Of course!!! If your not proud, then why be gay? It's not wrong to like another man, or to like another woman. I don't see a problem with it. I see a problem with a man and man, or woman and woman getting married, because it's against the bible, but I don't frown upon people likeing others of the same sex.

It's going to be a lot harder. It's not as hard when only one of you have braces, but now you actually have the chance of hooking. Be careful, and make sure it's only tongue that is touching. Lucky for me my boyfriend got his braces of before I got mine on, so it's all good with us.

Hey guys,
The world has brought together by internet but there are some outstandingly obscene websites and titles which are mentally disturbing. I came across one of the site which shows porn photographs and movies on the sex relationship between Mom-Son, Dad-Daughter. Can it happen? I stronlgy believe that it is highly impossible. The relation between parents and their kids is such a holy and lovely relation, that they can't even imagine such thing about each other. I am really disturbed after accidentally watching that site. Please share your sincere ideas/thoughts/experiences whether this could happen? Thanks.

It's true, and it's not totally true though. A lot of people, for some reason lie and say they are related, I guess it makes more people feel, well horny. I think it's totally gross, and I don't even like the idea of porn in any way. I've heard of things, I think it was like Oprah or something, where the day would take pictures of his nude daughter, and take pictures of him fondeling his daughter, and force his daughter to cyber on the internet, and would out the pictures on the internet, and once the mom found out, she called the cops and stuff. I also agree with what StorageandDisposal AKA Garbage Bin said. Congrats in grossing me out.

ok ..im 14/f and one of my best friends is 14/m..he doesnt go to my school...although lives in the district and i seem him here and there...hes been askin me how to ask a girl out..and i kept telling him to be himself..he just wont listen to me on that part advice...and he kepts telling me to put myself in that position..and i said "no" then he said "well its not hard 4 u ur a girl" and i said "its hard 4 us as well..bc we have to turn down guys we dont like"..and i dk how to tell just to be himself..bc he wont listen to that...and he a few days ago he asked me "how do i ask a girl out and not get turned down??"..and im like idk its not something predictable...and he goes to a private school..and i go to public school..so i have no clue who this girl is..if i did ..i would have asked her if she liked him..but i dk ....so im pointless at this point...-thx

Well, I might be wrong, and sorry if I am, but I personally think he might like you. I don't think there is another girl, and tell him this next time he asks.
I would go up to her and be like, I was wondering, do you think you might want to go out with me, like boyfriend/girlfriend, or atleast just on a date. Then be like, see it's simple. If a guy said that to me, I'd say yes to a date, and then see if he eventually asks you.

I also asked my sister, and she said she thinks he likes you, we actually agree on something, I sort of find that amazing. But she's older then me, so well whatever.

Well practice makes perfect. Start of following the recipie EXACTLY, then after a few weeks, or a month, try to do it your own way. Just remember, good things come to those who wait, GREAT things come to those in search of them. I don't know how that fits in, I just like that quote. hehehe sorry.

ive just started doing pot this year and i feel that ive becoming addicted to it now. When i did it for the first time i told myself that i wouldn't get addicted, but now its so hard not to do it. Most of my friends do it and when im around it i just wanna smoke it up with them too. What should i do?

Well most of my friends do pot, well actually 90 some % of them do pot, but I don't, I do do some bad things, but pot it way too addictive for me, and they still like me. Try to quit, once you run out of money, since it's some pretty expensicve stuff, you'll realize you can't afford this, you can't handle it. I mean don't get me wrong, being high is a pretty good feeling, and it doesn't actually do that much bad stuff to your body. There are some numbers that you can call, but I saw somebody else already had them, and I didn't want you to think I was copying. Talk to a teacher, or a counciler. Usually all teachers say come to them if you need to talk. In that last years of my life, there were about 4 that I could really talk to. I have a teacher now I could ask if you'd like me to. Drop one in the inbox, I have plenty of teachers I'm not embarassed to talk to. If I remeber, then tomorrow in school when I confront her about something I need to know, I'll bring up your problem, she already knows that I do advice, so have the questions I ask her, she thinks either have to do with her class (parent/child development) or this site. So I'll try to bring it up, and once I do, I'm going to edit this whole thing and delete it, so make sure you hurry and read this. Good luck with the addiction.
