S_C answered Sunday October 17 2004, 6:55 pm: Well practice makes perfect. Start of following the recipie EXACTLY, then after a few weeks, or a month, try to do it your own way. Just remember, good things come to those who wait, GREAT things come to those in search of them. I don't know how that fits in, I just like that quote. hehehe sorry. mickeymouse answered Sunday October 17 2004, 4:43 pm: Just keep practicing! And sometimes it helps if instead of following the recipie EXACTLY, kinda alter a little bit, like dont measure everything exactly, just get close. that sometimes helps me when my food tastes horrible. liddylflirtx3 answered Sunday October 17 2004, 3:46 pm: All cooking requires is concentration. Get out your recipe book and just follow the directions. Make sure you get out all the ingredients and measure them all properly! You can't be lazy when you bake, so make sure you have perfect measurements and the right ingredients and you should have great tasting treats! =) [ liddylflirtx3's advice column | Ask liddylflirtx3 A Question ]
Lizzy answered Sunday October 17 2004, 3:23 pm: Anyone can cook, just make sure you read the directions and follow them perfectly, in time you'll be able to cook things from scratch. You might not be patient enough, i have a patience problem with cooking too if you do!

hailebop answered Sunday October 17 2004, 2:57 pm: Baking can be great fun and end up with delicious results. Start with something really simple like a basic Victoria sponge recipie (see [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) make fairy cakes in individual containers. These don't take long to prepare or bake (they should take less time than a recipe for a full-sized cake would, as your cooking small blobs) and as you grow more confident with the basic steps you can make them more interesting by adding things like chocolate, coffee or orange, and experimenting with types of icing to put on top. Good luck! [ hailebop's advice column | Ask hailebop A Question ]
