Yes! Please see a doctor. Taking any type of drug is dangerous but especially if your on anti-depressants. Please keep me informed. Take care of yourself!

Go to the doctors because on some anti depressants certain drugs affect the drug your on or something and it could cause serious damage.

it's good that you informed us that you are also on anti-depressants.. that partially could be why.. i hope that you didn't take your anti-depressants anytime really before or after you took the skittles. those can cause a multiplyer effect and really screw things up.. leave yourself alone for maybe another day. it could be that just your body itself still hasn't gotten rid of the skittles or the depresants kinda helped it linger there for a longer after effect... but if the feeling still doesn't leave and it persists or gets worse then i'd talk to your parents right away about it because one way or another if you visit a doctor they'll know or have to know or end up fiding out (which isnt ever the BEST way for them to find out).. it's good that you've learned your lesson and even though it's really scary to even think about telling your parents you have to face up to this. goodluck!

I did drugs and i went straight up to my mom and told her! She then after that trusted me more. So i think what you should do is come forward to your mom and tell her what you did and then she can take you to the doctors!

Okay a tip on doing drugs, NEVER EVER do drugs if you are on another type of medication. That could really mess up with the drug, the high will not be a type of high you would normally feel, and you could get very sick, or poisened, because of mixing those two(2) substances. DO AS MFS SAYS, SEE A DOCTOR, we'd rather you be alive and embarassed, then dead from a stupid mistake of doing a drug while on medication. Besides DXM is a hard drug anyways. Stick with weed, it won't do anything to you.
>^ JOKE ^ Do not do drugs, they're very addicting, the high might be awesome, but they're dangerous and addicting!!!!!</b

MFS answered Wednesday October 20 2004, 11:05 am:
Options? You really don't have any options. You are medicated, and were stupid enough to take some other substance without thinking of the consequences that could have on your health. Fess up and go see a doctor. Many antidepressant drugs are coctails of uppers such as various amphetamines. Others effect the central nervous system in similar ways through other forms of drugs. By taking dxm - which is really just the active from cough syrup - dextromethorphan - you've introduced a narcotic. Yes, dex is related to Morphine, which is related to Codiene and Heroin. Dex can create a feeling of euphoria, which can lead to paranoia, and also cause massive constipation - yeah, that sounds fun. And yes, being an opiate, it is not wise to take them while on antidepressants.
If you are indeed still feeling loopy from doing this, GO SEE A DOCTOR! Stop putting your health at risk over embarassment. I'd rather you be emabrarassed than dead.

if the dizzyness doesnt go away in an hour you have no choice but to go to a docter because this is serious , the interaction with the dxm and the antideppresents may have made you feel worse afterwords than you should have and may lead to some serious problems .

gemmaholly answered Wednesday October 20 2004, 10:09 am:
drugs effect people differently as everyones bodies are different which maybe why your bf is fine today. as its only a day after i wouldnt worry too much just yet. the reason your still feeling dizzy is probably because its the day after you put something into your body that its not used to. i dont personally think (although im no expert) that the fact you are on anti depressants would have a great effect on it. my advice is just drink loads of water or fluid today as your body may be slightly dehydrated. if your still feeling dizzy in a day or two then you could go to your GP just for your own peace of mind hope this helps :)
