I underestimated the amount of time it would take for me to cover ten chapters so my only option right now, aside from failing the midterm, is to pull an all-nigher! However, I can't seem to stop falling asleep at periods of time...

I need something that will keep me awake!

Energy drinks won't work. Caffeine has the opposite effect on me.

Any suggestions?

If you really can't finish the book, you need sparknotes. Try looking for the title on sparknotes.com. I know everybody says that they don't help you at all, but the one time I didn't read the book, I skimmed sparknotes and got a C.

My friends have told me that you don't need to study for driver's ed..that it's all common sense and just plain easy.

Should I take their advice and not study? I've asked friends from other states and schools and they've all said that studying is pointless, but no one I know has had my driver's ed teacher before.

Uh, no. You DO have to study. It's very easy to study, though. Just read your manual. All the test questions will be EXACTLY what it says in the manual. If you fail all your tests in class, your teacher will not sign the special little form that allows you to get your license. I speak from experience here! You need to know laws, consequences for breaking those laws, what to do when you're caught in a snowstorm--believe me, that last one is NOT common sense! It's a class just like any other class, so STUDY. But don't worry because it IS a very easy thing to study.

-shes the popularest one in school
-people worship her. [she even has people who go out to her locker for her & get her things!]
-shes really confident
-but shes also really mean. .. if she doesnt like you.
-shes really rich. she has a ton of REAL louis, chanels, coachs juicys & all that.
-her dog evne wears like these juicy jackets & stuff.

She had this big party, & you had to be on her A-list to get invited. I wasn't I was like on her B-list or something. & she posted it everywhere in school, & everything. Anyways, shes been REALLY nice to me lately, & i want to be better friends with her. Her one friend just moved away, & that means theres a spot open. & i want to make that spot for me. how do i do it?

If she's mean to the people she doesn't like, then she doesn't have confidence. Confident people don't have to look down on others to make themselves feel better, and that's exactly what she's doing. I have a hard time seeing why you would want to be friends with a person like this. Seems to me that she sees people as dolls. Do you really want to be one of her toys? Say you become her "friend". She's just going to use you! Think about it. What you want is to be able to go to her locker and get things for her. You are worth more than that!

I'm not going to tell you how to waste your time with someone like this. She'll only end up hurting you. Focus on yourself. Paint your nails, write a short story, and rearrange the furniture in your room. Then get some real friends who will actually care about you.

I'm 18, but my definition of a great guy hasn't changed much.

- He is open to new things.

- He reads.

- He doesn't want children.

- He travels.

- He has long hair. Maybe glasses, even.

- He smells good.

- He dresses nice.

- He's smart and artistic.

- He likes cats.

- He RESPECTS WOMEN. Not that phony respect that many guys have. He doesn't say "I respect you, have sex with me." That's stupid. And stupid!

- He respects old people. Old people are our future.

- He's not a rapist, murderer, beater, stalker, etc.

- He's not clingy and dependent.

- He likes it when I bake cookies for him, because I've always wanted to bake cookies for a guy.

- He loves me.

Hope that helps. Don't go by my standard; everyone's different. But you should always have respect for others, and not be a rapist or a murderer.

PLEASE HELP ME! ok. I HAD 5 BFFs. Then, I liked this guy and one asked him out 4 me when I told her not to. Then, my "BFFFF" keeps ragging on me about wut I wear and stuff like that. Screw the others. They don't care about you. They're backstabbers and fair-weather friends...except for the "wrong corner" girl. She has her own issues. The only true friend you have is the last one, so stand by her. To the rest, just say to them, "I'm done with you." They don't care about you, so you shouldn't care about them.

Yes, it's normal. Everybody has a sex drive. I've read somewhere that just about everybody masturbates when they're about two years old, but don't remember it. It's perfectly normal to explore your own body, and in my opinion, earlier is better. I say more power to her. She knows about her body and what feels good. Also, it's a lot better to masturbate than to go out and have sex with drunk guys, I'm sure you agree. And everybody gets their period at a different time. Totally normal.

I'm going to be honest here.

The shy-guy thing might be cute at first, but if you have so little confidence in yourself that you become dependent on her, that's not good for either of you. She will feel guilty if she tries to break up with you, and you do not want a girl to date you out of pity.

Everybody at your age has self-doubts. In fact, everybody at every age has self-doubts. You need to take a good look at yourself. Whatever you're doing that you don't like, CHANGE IT. You need to love yourself before anybody else can love you.

I believe the word love is far overused and underrated. When I was younger, "I love you" was something to be cherished, not a phrase one says when one has been dating another for three days, and is not a phrase to be tossed around like a rag doll. I think this new stuff is bullshit. Concurrest thou?

Depends on the type of love. I love anyone who tries to do good for others. I love my friends, and my cats, and my parents.

But in the romantic sense, yeah, I agree. My love? Is precious. It takes me a long time to develop such a deep, meaningful feeling for a person, and it has to be the most truly amazing person ever. I was on my friend's first date with a guy who turned out to suck, and they were proclaiming their love for each other. On the first date. Right in front of me, which was SO annoying...but I digress.

ok well I've been hanging out with my bestfriend a lot lately and we met this group of guys. They're cute and I like a couple of them. These guys don't sound like they're worth your time. They may be cute, but they are being very immature. You deserve more respect than that. Trust your gut. If you have any reason to think that you shouldn't be spending time with these guys, stop. Believe me, they're not worth it.

I've recently started dating this great guy. The problem is, he's black and I'm white. I'm against racism to the full extent and so is my mom, but my dad and brother don't feel the same. I don't have any experience with this, so I might not be able to help much, but...you're eighteen. You're perfectly capable of making your own decisions. Your dad needs to realize this. If he doesn't like your boyfriend, that's fine--he doesn't have to date him. Do what makes you happy.
