hey!! ok, well i'm 14/f. and i just started having really dry spots on my face. the skin is pealing a little, and the spots hurt. i don't have any acne or pimples or anything (right now) but sometimes i get a pimple or to. but anyways, what is some good mousterizer (sp?) that i can put on my face to make my skin soft and smooth? please help!! i really need it! thanks !!!!

Hi im Katelyn and i liked this guy named Chris. Hes one year older than me. I went over to his house one day with all his friends. well he obviously has some feelings for you since he invited you to hang out with his older friends AND you guys made out. it might just be that it is hard to talk to him at school since he is a year older so i'm guessing he is in a grade above you.
if he didn't like you then he wouldn't have invited you to hang out with him. just take things slowly and try flirting with him more and continue to talk to him online.

Okay, me and my boyfriend have been going out for 3 weeks now. We both like each other alotalotalot.
We've hung out with each other every weekend. He met my mom & dad, i met his mom, and our moms met each other.
The previous times that he has hung out at my house, we've just cuddled on the couch watching a movie. We've never made out (once i tried to..), just regular kissed. We both want to makeout with each other, and we've talked about it. Except everytime we plan to, my mom is at the top of the stairs, or we're supervised SOMEHOW. When we try to go outside, my mom is always like "NO KISSING" and she watches us.
I've made out with my last boyfriend several times, without my mom getting involed. I don't know if it's possible for my to go over my boyfriends house, because i know my mom would be suspicious and know what we want to do.
well you mentioned that your mom and your boyfriend's mom met. so then why would she be suspicous if you went over his house?
you also said that you've kissed him before. so how did you do that without your mom seeing? just the next time you go to just regular kiss him, just start making out with him because most likely your mom won't be there if you were going to kiss him in the first place.
talk to your mom, because it seems like she doesn't trust you. calm her down by telling her that you are in no way even thinking about having sex because you both know your not ready. this will make her feel a lot better because she might be thinking if you guys start kissing then you will automatically think about having sex. then get her to trust you more so you can go outside or to the movies.
so once she trusts you try going for a walk with him and maybe go to a nearby park. or go on a "date" like movies, ice skating, bowling, or even just go somewhere with a bunch of friends.

just basically anything that you have in common will be interesting to talk about. You can talk about a class you have together, an annoying teacher, a sport she plays, what she did over the weekend, or a big event coming up. just anything to get the conversation going and it should take off on its own! so just start a conversation and it should be easy to keep it going! for flirting try making her laugh. girls LOVE guys that can make them laugh. make an excuse to touch her arm or hand, play with her hair, tease her (but DON'T make fun of her and make her feel bad). it is easy to tell if a girl is interested in what you are saying or is totally turned off. if she keeps looking away or shows little interest in what you are saying then that is a big clue that she isn't interested in you. but if she keeps eye contact and laughs at your jokes then thats a good sign!

for thicker hair use the Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo and Conditioner for fine hair. then for the roots lifted use the Garnier Fructis Body & Volume Root Lifting Spray. all of these can be found on their website:

for the eyes. line the inside rid of your top and bottom lid with heavy black eyeliner. then get some charcoal eyeshadow and a liner brush. dip the brush in the eyeshadow and make a thick line of it below your eyelahs. then do the same on the top. then you can add more of the eyeshadow to the top lid to make it dark like the girl in the picture has it.
So i heard that using mascara can damage your eyelashes and make them fall out...

Are there any (good) mascaras (that i can get frmo a drugstore) that really add a lot of volume to lashes?? preferably an undamaging one (conditioning??)
well all the other girls recommended really good mascaras so i won't recommend any to you. but about the falling out thing. i know that mascara doesn't cause your eyelashes to fall out, but sometimes eyelash curlers can. so be careful if you do use an eyelash curler if you already have mascara on your lashes because then they can stick to the curl and you can pull them out by accident.

ok, i know you have had a lot of period questions, but here comes another one. My blood is like black...not dark red, but balck!!! Is that normal, or should i go to a doctor???
its completely normal don't worry. my period is a really dark brown when i first start out and then it slowly gets a little redder each day.
so just let it go for now, and you should start noticing that each day it gets a little redder. if it continues to stay black for a couple of months then maybe you should go to a doctor and just make sure thats it all ok.

So, me and kate have been friends for about 9 years now. and we ALWAYS get in arguments, usually about stupid things. she's the kind of person who just cares about herself, gets jealous easy, and never wants anyone to have something better then she does, or out do her. kate went out with this kid billy, for about a year. and they just recently broke up, which was a complete and total shock to everyone, because they were really close, and a really cute couple..
..matt is this kid who i've always flirted with and stuff, and he told me he liked me a few months ago. now unlike most immature guys at my age [ 14 ], he's not the kind that would make you do something you dont want to do. he's a really really nice guy,and really cares about me, but is sometimes a little too clingy.. i like him, but i don't think i like him as much as he likes me. he's a really good kid though..

..so the way this all ties in is, me and matt have been hanging out a lot, and we were kinda like girlfriend and boyfriend, but with out the lable. but i kind of found him annoying sometimes.. too clingy..so i told him i think its better if we were just friends. but i told him i still liked him, and he said okay i really like you still and i want to be more then friends, so when your ready,just tell me. so ever since weve been just friends or whatever, we still hug all the time and talk and everythign, and really its not even that different. but my 'bestfriend' kate has been hanging all over him, and going out of her way to flirt with him. she even asked him too hookup with her by the end of the year. she touches him constantly, and also , right infront of my face.. as u can imagine i get realllly mad about it and when matt tries to come up and talk to me i just ignore him because it hurts to see him with her like that, and i just get jealous i guess. and its not that im exxagerating either. my other friends, hate her for doing that to me. they talk about her all the time to me , telling me how shes all over marc. i know she does this knowing i get mad, because i told her, and him. she doesnt care. matt does, he tells me that he really wants to be more then friends ,and to not worry about kate because he dont like he rlike that.. now andy doesnt really tie into this story.. but i guess one of the things holding me back from being with matt is him. whenever i see andy, i just like him all over again. i dont know wat it is. and it sure doesnt helpp that hes extremely cute. matt is too by the way. but i have such a better chance with marc, who will really care about me. but then i think about andy and how much i liked him for so long, even though hes a jerk. and kate, i dont even know. basically im trying to drop her as a friend, becaus ehs ecould care less about me im beginning to think. shed do anything to make me feel bad, or left out or something. and she also always accuses me of liking her ex, when me and him are just friends, no flirting, no nothing. so basically i dont know what to do. be with matt even though i have deelings for andy? or ..i dont even know. thanks SO much if you actually read this! =] byee

now with kate, you're doing the right thing by dropping her. she isn't your real friend if she flirts with the guys that like you. she is probably just jealous that matt likes you instead of her.
ok don't take this the wrong way or anything but to me it seems like you are using matt. you keep him hanging by hugging him and giving him false hope, when you really just like andy. to me matt seems like the better guy for you, and better boyfriend material. but before (and if) you decide to actually start dating matt, you need to make sure to leave andy out of your life. i mean you can still talk to him in class, but make sure to not flirt with him even if it is by accident. try thinking of all of the things that you don't like about andy. lol its weird but it will make him seem less appealing to you :]
then you need to devote more of your time to matt. don't take advantage of him just because he likes you. because if you go out with matt but then still have feelings for andy, something is bound to go wrong.
but if you decide to date andy, then you need to tell matt straight out that you don't want to be more then friends, and that you like andy. this way he will get the picture and can move on to find another girl.

ok...wat is leaking...I think i have had it before...i bent over and it came sprayig out!!! So how do you tell if you leak or not??
well it really shouldn't come spraying out at all. leaking is just when you wear a tampon and there is too much blood for it to hold so some of the blood seeps out onto your underwear.
trust me, you'd know if it happened to you before.
i know this is kinda personal but do you wear a pad or tampon also included in my other question
another thing is how can i feel confident about wearing jeans and tan pants too

actually i vary on what i wear depending on what i'm doing that day. Like if i'm going out shopping or swimming or something like that i will wear a tampon because they are more compfortable and they aren't noticable. also it is neccissary to wear a tampon while swimming. but if i'm going to school i will most likely wear a pad that way i don't have to change my tampon during school. most girls do wear tampons to school, again because they are more compfortable, its just that i'm too lazy to go to the bathroom before lunch to change it! lol.
now on to being more confident. whenever you are wearing jeans or tan pants and you have your period just tell yourself that i'm not leaking! think this to yourself, "chances are i'm not the only girl in this room that has their period right now, and nobody else is leaking!" also if you did leak you would be able to tell, and hopefully (lol) your friends would let you know! I've never seen a girl leak through her jeans before! remember that pants are thick and it is very hard for your period blood to make it all the way through your pants.
and if it helps, change your tampon or your pad more often at school that way you can insure that you won't leak through!

first, have you ever considered contacts? because it would be horrible to get all done up and then cover it all up with glasses. i used to wear glasses, but then i got contacts and they are AMAZING! this way you can still see all of your eye makeup that you do wear.
ok now on to makeup. start off with a light cream or liquid foundation just to even out your skin tone and cover up any blemishs that you might have. i personally LOVE maybelline dream matte mouse:

I have been having my period for a while and i always wear black pants never anything else cuz i am scared i will leak. how do you find the confidence to wear other pants because everyone thinks i am weird because i dont wear jeans on jeans days when having my period

well first make sure that you are using a strong enough pad or tampon. if you are then you shouldn't be leaking. the only time i ever leaked was when i wore a thin pantyliner like the first day i ever got my period because i didn't know any better ha :] but now i know that for the first couple of days i should either wear a heavy pad or a tampon. and if i do wear a tampon i always wear a thin panty liner on my underwear just in case of a little leak. i'm talking like little drips, nothing major. because if you are leaking a lot with a tampon then you must not be putting it in right, you might not be changing it often enough, or you might need a bigger tampon (ex. super or super plus).
try it out on a weekend wearing jeans and you'll notice that you most likely won't leak, you are just being a little paranoid. i mean how often do you leak? it shouldn't be often at all. and if other girls can wear jeans during their period, then you should be able to too :]

so, my friend "Lucy" and i hang out together alot with other people. sometimes she cant go to things or i do something without her but i dont make her feel bad, i try not to make a big deal out of it (even if it was super fun) in an effort to not make her feel left out. yet, i got groudned last night, so i couldn't go to this one thing with lucy and my other 2 friends. well i talked to the other 2 friends after and they were like oh it was good but we missed you, we just talked and watched a movie. then lucy of coursse has to make a huuuge deal out of it, saying it was like the best night and how fun it was and like trying to make me feel super left out. of course, the ONE night im not there it's the BEST NIGHT EVER. and it's not like this is the first time it happened, she ALWAYS does that when i'm not there and im SICK OF IT.
i dont know hwat to do. should i give her a taste of her own medicine in the future? but im not like that. should i just let it roll of my shoulders? it makes me angry though. i dont know what to do or why she does this.
i have a friend that does the same thing. she is always trying to make me feel all sad that i was left out. and i know how you feel, it makes you feel like crap.
but i think that you shouldn't do it back, because then she will most likely just continue what she is doing. i tried that once and it only made things worse. like my one friend was mad that i was hanging out with my other friends, so she had to hang out with some of her other friends. and then oh boy it was bad! she started bragging about how much fun it was just to make me feel bad that i wasn't there. but then i realized that she was just exaggerating everything and that it wasn't as fun as she told me it was.
so anyways back to you lol. you should just smile and nod whenever she is bragging about how fun it was. just be like "ok thats cool, glad you had fun." that way she will eventually realize that it doesn't bother you and she will stop.
