I was just shoveling yesterday alot and last night when I was sleeping I noticed my back hurt ALOT. Today even when Im typing I cant bend over because it hurts too much. What can I do to stop it from hurting? Please help!

After shoveling yesterday my back and next hurt too. Use a heating pad. Or put cream on it. If you can a back masuace (no idea how to spell it). Try doing yoga or meditating. We meditate in school sometimes at first it hurts your back but then it feels really good. I hope I helped! ♥ good luck

There's this guy who I think is amazing but he barely even knows I exist. We have some mutual friends but we're not terribly close, and I'm not sure how to get him to want to know me better. How do I get his attention?

The guy I'm dating is sooo much better than me in so many ways. He's in all the really smart classes at school, he's so sweet to his mom, he's really responsible... I feel like such a ditz around him, and I don't know if this bothers him or not. I mean, I guess it's like the whole Nick Lachey/Jessica Simpson thing, but I don't know if my guy will be able to tolerate it as well as Nick. I like this guy more than I can explain, and I REALLY want it to last and be a long-term kind of thing. So, I guess my question is: How can I find out if it bothers him or not? How can I stop being such a DITZ???

IM 14 yrs old and i have a pretty bad life. Im not suicidal or anything. Ive had a pretty bad past. My brother andrew hurts me he will kick me in the stomach and ribs and yell at me and it got so bad my mom called the cops. He threatend me and my moms life. I called him in detention (kids jail) and he said there was nothing to be said to me and he wants nothing to do with me and he will never find away to forgive me or forget. Now he is being senet away. my mom is never home. I told her we need some serious talking to do and we need to talk It took a long time to come out of that shell and tell her that. She just told me she has to go to her boyfriends house. I was shocked. She leaves me for her BOYFRIEND. When her own daughter needs help! I was in treatment i was sent away for 5 months. Nothing really changed over that. Im not a virgin the only reason why is because i feel thats the only thing that makes me feel wanted. Just to be "loved" for that period of time. I was thinking of the long run. Now my friend offered me to live with her for as long as i needed. To sort things out. Me and my friend had some pretty ruff times we actually we're best friends but i screwed up and that ended it but she was still there for me. So she offered a home for me. Shes not into that stuff sex, drugs, or drinking. Im trying to get away from that but its hard. Like i said... i feel like i belong then. SO how do i tell my mom that i want to just not leave her but i need a break. For a bit. my friend said that we could get both of our moms together and me and her would sit down and we would talk it out. I dont want my mom to think she is a bad mother i just need a "mother" figure there for me that i can talk to. And wont leave on me when i need help. So help me please. This is and maybe a change of life.

Wow I feel so bad for you. You need to go to family consuling or sit down with your friend's mother and your's. You need to get through to her. A professional consuling session would probably be best. Is your dad still around? Is there anyone you can live with? But as I said before consuling is your best bet. I hope I helped! ♥ good luck

i'm 13(male). my brother is 10(male).


i've shared a room with him since the day he was born. when i was 7 or 8, we switched to bunk-beds. the ladder up to the top is prety much the only place of privacy i have, other than the bathroom. my family isn't the richest in the world, but we're in a pretty good financial situation compared to others (my mom is a college professer, my dad is a newswriter). my question is, am i selfish for asking for my own room. we've been searching for about a year give or take, and have been outbid in 3 situations so far. currently we're in the midst of bidding.


sometimes i do feel selfish, because my parents are slightly older, and i feel that i'm taking away too much of their retirement funds. (this isn't exactly all for me, the neighborhood we're in now is pretty bad for them, for ex: my view from my room is at my neighbors dark green pool, 10 feet away, and theirs noise pollution from the other side from a stupid bird, which drives my parents nuts.) so am i asking for too much?

No your not asking that much. You are going to be going through puberty soon (like you don't already know) and you're going to need your own space. Just don't bug your parents too much about it. I am getting sorta tired of the way everyone is so rude on here! There was this girl who was pregnant and scared and crying and this guy came along and told her to shut up! Whats with everyone? When someones mother dies you dont say "Stop complaining bitch" thats absolutely digusting! So my question is...why do some people on here be complete assholes when there are people who need serious answers and have serious questions?!?!?

If you don't like it use abuse reports. The level 2 mods can ban them but sometimes it's just annoying and a lot of time you can tell if their serious or not. They won't get high ratings anyway. But as I said before make an abuse report about it. ♥ good luck

I was hanging out with a group of my friends the other day after school. We were just hanging out having a good time and one of my friends pulls out a joint and lights it. She started passing it around our group of friends and everyone took a puff of it but me. I basically just stood there confused. These innocent girls that I had known since I was 6 years old had just lit up a joint and smoked it. I am completely disgusted by drugs and drinking and I will never do it because it's the worst thing you can do to yourself. They started making fun of me that I wouldn't smoke it. I wasn't hurt that they were making fun of me, but I was just hurt at their stupidity for smoking it. I don't know what to do. They've been my friends for a very long time and have always been loyal to me, but this is something I can't handle. What should I do? Should I tell them they should stop? I'm so confused! Please help.

You have to get them to stop. If you can't stop them yourself you need to get an adults help. This is one of the most deadly things someone can do to themselves. If you can find a way to have them view a documentary on what harm it does to their body. Or if you know any use medical facts. Okay, so I started school about 5 months ago, and there are a few girls (I'm not going to say their names) and they've been really mean to me. They were spreading around rumors, and talking about me behind my back. I mean, they keep doing it! I'm so sick of it! i dont have a ton of friends (maybe 6 or 7 really close ones - my best friends) But the other day, they told me i was really clingy and that they need some space. I didnt want to say anything but i got realy upset. I dont try to be clingy at all! And i realized they were right but i dont know how to stop! Just shake a little. You don't have to do these crazy steps. I had a dance last night and that's mostly what I did (me and my friend have a 'secret move so we usually do that). Not nessicarly but you could. If you give them your e-mail address they can send you a virus. They may also be able yo send you a virus in the chatroom or through IM. Don't click on any links because they usually contain really messed up viruses if you nkow what I mean. So just be safe ♥.

Just tell her you don't think they would look right on her. It really isn't your desicion but say something that willl get the point across that you think they won't look right.
