Hey Everyone :) I'm Kate and a level 2 mod on here. I've had this account since July 2004, so I've been on here since I was 13! Wow ... crazy for me to think how long ago that was. I will admit I don't check in as often as I once did, but being away at college, being in a sorority, and having a job when I'm not at school is very time consuming. I still try to help out as much as possible, and if you send me a question I WILL answer it. i just started taking the pill about a month or so ago. i've been majorly moody and emotional. do you think its the pill that has been making me like this?

Yes, it effects hormones, and so moodiness and other emotional things are side effects. So yes, it's most likely because of the pill.

I like a guy and my friend likes him too,but i have heard he likes me and he wants to go out with me but i dont want to hurt my best friends feelings but i really like this guy.. what should i do?

Talk to your friend about it. Not all rumors are true, even the good ones. There's a rumor going around my school that I gave this guy a blowjob, which is soo not true. There's a rumor going around my school that I'm dating a QB of a football team at a different school, which isn't true (I wish... nah, I like my guy, even though he's just a bull rider and wrestler) But ask your friend how she would feel if he dated you. And also find out if he really likes you. How would you feel if she dated him? That's probably how she would feel. But if you really like him, then she probably might be hurt, but will try to be happy for you. Good luck with that.

What does he like? You gave me no info on interest or anything. You didn't have time to buy him anything... how is that related to how long ya'll have been dating? Well, what are his favorite teams, buy him a shirt or jersey or hat of them. Buy him a pair of cute boxers. Buy him candy, or get him a gift card to the local hangout, or to the mall. Buy him movie passes, or take him out on a date and pay.

14/F. I have to get orthodonic braces in a few weeks and I have a few questions about them. I will rate. Do they hurt? What will happen if I chew gum with them? What color bands would look good with brown hair and brown eyes? Thanks.

I got mine this past July. I'll tell you I asked a question on this site about them and everone told me that it'd hurt. I was fine. It was sore maybe 5 hours later, but that was when the teeth were moving. They give you medicine (at least my ortho did) but I didn't take it. Other than that, they only hurt after you get them tightened, because that's when your teeth are moving. Gum is okay, depending on what kind. Like orbit, sugar free, extra, gum like that. I use mints though, I get extra mints, or something like that. As for bands, I have really light ones, and you wanna hear something gross... they change color with the food you eat... so like they get gross looking, and it's terrible if you get sick, like regurgitating, because guess what your bands will look like. I suggest getting green or purple (dark green/dark purple) or a dark blue. Nobody will notice if they match your eyes/hair, mine don't and I have the same color eyes and hair as you. Hope I've helped. Oh and as far as eating after you get them, the 1st week I ate puddings and yogurt. I got mine done on a Wednesday, and that following Friday I ate one chicken strip and a plateful of fries at a mexican restaurant called Casa Grande (I also had chips) It hurt a little, but only because I had a cold sore/kanker sore. They give you wax for problems like that, but I just toughed it out, I didn't want to have to deal with that stuff. And it'll take about an hour give or take 15 mintues to get them on, so try to concentrate on something else. I don't want to scare you or anything, but it sucks getting them put on, not because it hurts, but they put some contraption in my mouth to keep my tounge away from my teeth, and let me just say I was thanking the lord when I got it taken out because it bugged me a lot to have that thing in my mouth. If you have any other questions on braces please please please let me know!

do i need a new transmition if my car won't accelerate past 20 mph or could it be an easy fix?

Why don't you bring your car to the dealership and have them tell you what's neccisarry. Then again, driving your car in certain areas wouldn't be legal since there is a speed limit, and there is such thing as going to slow... so I don't know. I'm not a brainiac when it comes to cars, the most I know is what type of car is what, but shouldn't you get the car checked out by the dealership/mechanic people. My older brother is a great mechanic, but he doesn't live with us so I can't as him. Though I do know one thing, it isn't going to be an easy fix.

Okay, does anybody know for sure how old you have to be to get your bellybutton pierced in Oregon? And how much does it cost? My parents won't let me get it done so i have to be old enough to get it without their permission because they think it will get infected. But if i were to do it by myself, what do i have to do or buy to make sure it doesn't get infected? thanks

I don't live in Oregon, so I don't really know, but since noone else answered your question, I'll try to help. In NC depending what city you have to be anywhere from 16-18, same with NY. So try it when you're 16, and if that doesn't work, and you don't want to wait until you're 18, then get a fake ID!!! No, just kidding, don't do that. Usually doctors will do the piercing, that's where me and my sister got our piercings, and her belly button ring was just fine. Try calling the doctors and see if they will pierce it. Plus if the doctor does it, your mom will probably lighten up and maybe let you do it.

Well, I lived in Ny for many years, and all I know is if you have adult permission (parent/gaurdian) then any age, but if not, depending what part of NY, anywhere from 16-18, most likely 18.

It supposedly means that you are no longer a virgin. It's when your hymen breaks. But your hymen can break from working out, riding your bike, playing sports... ect.
When someone says their cherry has popped, it most likely will mean they are no longer a virgin. Correct term for cherry though, is hymen.

how many pairs of jeans do u think a girl should own?

you need at least 7, one for every day of the week, just incase for some reason you don't get the chance to wash them. Or unless you have a bunch of pants, like sweatpants, and stuff like that. I have like 10 pairs, and it suits me well.

If you don't have that many people, then try "The Haunting of William Shakespeare". We did that in 7th grade, it was so much fun. Or "Wizard of Oz", "Oklahoma" (Musical), "Fiddler on the Roof", "SOunds of music"(musical) There's this one sight, but I can't think of the name, but it has lots of great plays. If I remember, then I'll get back to you.

Ok I'm from North Carolina and I'm Homeschooled..Well im in 12th grade and almost done but me and my mom just found out that she has to issue me a high school diploma not North Carolina so like where do we get the diploma ?? I will rate high !!

I'm from NC too, but I'm not homeschooled. Where did she get the whole homeschooling degree/license thing. Well, you'll have to go down to the courthouse, or to some place like that, tell them that you've been homeschooled, and that you're getting your degree (or have your mom do that) then they should give it to you, or at least ask you for proof that you've been homeschooled, and have passed. Try the courthouse, if not, then I'm sorry, that's the best I can do.

I'm not sure what to give my 1 year old child for breakfast. He is allergic to eggs and I don't think those baby jar foods of mixed cereal and oatmeal fill him up that much. Anyone have any ideas??

You can flirt, but you have limits, don't go all out there. Eventually if you flirt and she likes you, she'll break up with him. I have a few guys that flirt with me knowing I have a boyfriend, and as long as they don't go to far, if me and Joel ever break up, then I might consider one of them. But seriously, don't do anything too much, like don't kiss her, or go so far where she cheats on her boyfriend, and don't let her cheat with you, if she wants to do something with you, make sure she's OVER with her now boyfriend. But pretty much there isn't that much you can do, small amounts of flirting is all, otherwise, you'll have to wait it out.

do you think it'll be hard to babysit 2 kids(grl-3)(the boy-6)on the first time ever havin to babysit?

I no it's not any help to agree with someone and not give you my own advice, but I didn't want to copy Harold. I mean it really does depend on your age, how well you know the children... I don't even remember the 1st time I babysat, I think the very 1st time though was with my sister, we both went over so I could have some experience. I mean if you know the kids well, and if you're pretty sure they'll listen to you and not give you a hard time, then it should be fine. Do you have to give them a bath, or put them to bed, if so, that'll make it a little harder, but not much. By the way you type, you seem kind of young, but seriously, two kids is like perfect, it's easy, and they have someone to keep them company. Make sure you have movies/DVD's/games that they can play with. I was just babysitting a girl (4) and a boy (7) and the boy played his x-box, and me and the girl colored. I had to make them dinner (their mom premade it, but I had to actually cook it in the oven) and me and the girl watched a Dr. Seuss movie, it was some 3 in 1 thing. Just watch some movies or tv, play some games, and do some art work that isn't too messy. Have fun, it shouldn't be too hard.

I've been working at the same place for over a year and I really enjoy working there. I feel like I've established myself as a good employee. A past roommate of mine who I didn't get along with well and only see infrequently recently applied for a position at the same place I work. Apparently, she told my boss and others she spoke to that she knows me well and that I would be excited to work with her. She pretty much said that I really wanted her to work there and would recommend her. The problem is that I know this person is not a good worker. She is irresponsible about coming to work and tends to slack off when she does come. She's not very respectful to employers either and tends to demand that they give her time off whenever she wants it. I'm concerned that this person's job performance could reflect negatively on me, since she pretty much used me as a reference without my permission. Should I approach my boss about this? What should I do if my boss asks me about her? What can I do to distance myself from this person so that her poor performance won't make me look bad?

Talk to your boss about it, but tell him if she asks why she didn't get the position, to please not mention you, unless of course you don't care whether or not it's anonymous. How did you find out she used you? Did she tell you. I would definitley talk to your boss about it, because she lied to get a position, and it could possible reflect on you, and that you're more loyal to your friends than to work, and to some people that isn't a wonderful thing, so talk tp your boss most definitley.

is it just plain wrong for a 15 year old straight male to babysit?

No, a lot of guys in my neighborhood that need money will help a girl babysit, or if all the girls are busy then they will babysit. During football games when all our neighbors go out to one persons house, all the older kids in the cul-de-sad (like 4 of us) Will watch all the younger kids (like 20 something) and 2 of them are guys, the other 2 are me and my sister. So no, it might be weird, but a lot of guys babysit... I don't know about 15 year old guys, but 12-14 year old guys do.

I am 15 year old female, and I have a boyfriend that gets mad when I hug other guys or don`t see him everyday. So as pay back, if I call him he doesn`t talk or just plays video games. The other night I was walking home from a friends house, and my boyfriend told me not to go over there cause it was late and when I got there I called and I asked him to come get me so I wouldn`t have to walk about 3 miles home, he said "I don`t want to get out of bed just to see you when I can see you tomorrow." Well on the way home, a guy grabbed me really hard on my arm and as I got lose he yelled.."I`m going to get you" so I took off. When I called my boyfriend to tell him what happened, he just said "maybe one day you will listen to me." He didn`t even say sorry or anything. Then when I see him, he expects me to be all over him. He is really hurting me inside and I don`t know what to do. What to do about him treating me so bad?

He might have asked one of his friends to do that. But seriously, I don't think he's worth your time. He's like emotionally abusing you, or something like that. I would break up with him, and find someone WAY better. I'd rather be single than in a relationship with him. Or you can try telling him how you feel, and when he blows it off be like fine then we're over! I know you probably care about him, but WHY? And I know when you care it's hard to let go, but I had to lose my b/f when he moved, and he was actually good to me. You should really either try working it out, and then if that doesn't work be like fine you ass, it's over! Hope I helped!
