Hey Everyone :) I'm Kate and a level 2 mod on here. I've had this account since July 2004, so I've been on here since I was 13! Wow ... crazy for me to think how long ago that was. I will admit I don't check in as often as I once did, but being away at college, being in a sorority, and having a job when I'm not at school is very time consuming. What is a good brand of *ceramic* hair straighter that isn't too expensive (under $25)

Hate to say it but I've never heard of a straightener under $25. But you could use an iron, that straightens hair pretty good, as long as you get a good shampoo and conditioner so it won't damage your hair.

Nope because instead of going towards your ovaries and towards the vagina it goes through a different tube thing and goes out the urination hole. (I don't know the correct term for that.)

Go see an OB/GYN, or go to the health department, or a doctor and they'll test you.

It's almost xmas, and I don't have any gifts for my family. And worse of all, I can't go out and get gifts for them because I'm broke. Does anyone have any ideas how I can "make" a gift for my family? [I have one bro, 19, two parents, age unknown, and one sister, age 21.] If anyone could think of creative fun things I could make out of house hold items, I'd love you forever.

You can make these little paper coupons. Like one for your parents that say I will wash your car 2 times for free. And one for a sibling, I will do your chores for one day. Do you get what I mean? It'll never be just a short while. I only wanted to be anorexic until I lost about 10-15 pounds, I was anorexic for more than 2 years, and I can assure you I lost more than 10-15lbs. I only wanted to but my wrists for a week or so to see how it really was, it lasted longer. I only wanted to try alcohol once, but it lasted longer. Things that make you feel good inside are addicting. Bulemia is much better then anorexia because at leat you get some of the nutrients, but it's a stupid thing to do. If you skip breakfast then you gain weight. Why don't you just cut down on portions of foods instead? No offense, and I hope none is taken because I know I've done stuff like this and I learned my lesson, but this is the stupidest thing I've ever heard? I had to learn this the hard way, and I don't want you to have to also. Please excersise, eat healthy, DON'T choose any eating disorders or any methods like that, it's STUPID!!! PLEASE DON'T HARM YOURSELF!!!

Not if you aren't comfotable having sex with him. No offense, but you don't really seem like you're ready for anything further than making out. And you should only make desicions like that if you are mentally, physically, and emotionally ready, not because someone else wants you to. If you aren't ready to sacrafice such a thing as your virginity, then don't do it. Never let a guy make you do something you aren't comfortable with.

okay so heres the thing.....i am really depressed, and i know it and so i cut myself....but not my wrists or anything just my legs and my ankles.......and i think about death alot, but not ohters just myself....what do you think i shuld do

I've cut in the past, and what I did was go to my two most trustworth teachers, one told guidance who called my parents, who I lied to and said I was fine, the other I spoke with for a month or longer about it, and she's been a lot of help. You need to find someone, or someoneS that you feel you can confide it. Or do what I did for them, e-mail but don't sign your name, be like I have a serious problem, I think I can trust you but I'm not all that sure so I'm doing it anonymously for now... please feel free to answer, but you don't have to. The one that has been helping me a lot figured out who I was after a few weeks of me e-mailing her, even after we said something about it in class if I wrote her an e-mail I never signed my name. I think teachers are really helpful, one told on me, but I know she did it because she cared, and even though she's my least favorite teacher, I still like her as a person, she's just a crappy teacher. No matter what, you should know that someone out there cares whether they act like it or not. I had been 'sober' or cutting for more than a month, and then just out of the blew I cut myself a few days ago, and today in class, I think it's stress over exams we've had lately, but since the semester is over and I'll no longer see this teacher again I'm planning on e-mailing her. But really even if you want to confide in me, I promise I'll try not to go on with my life story, haha. But really this is a SERIOUS matter, and I know people care about me, I've had friends threaten our friendship trying to get me to stop, and it worked for a while... Confide in someone, please, a friend, a parent, a teacher, a cousin, and aunt or uncle, a grandparent, anyone you feel comfortable talking about it with. They'll probably tell you they aren't moving, I mean it most likely depends on the reason you moved to Wisonsin, like business or pleasure? If it was business the most they'll do is probably switch schools for you. But what I'm getting at is show them the note, and work up some tears and tell them that you hate it. Last night I did my washing but I was really tired so I just dumped it all in without looking to see what went in. Then when I checked this morning, I had found that I had slipped a fur coat into the mix.

Well I'm not that upset about the coat falling apart (a bit but not much) but now all my other clothes that went in that wash have fur all over them. I have tried shaking them off but they are still covered- what would be the best way to get all the fur off easily?

We were at school and my friend didn't realize it but her the fur on her coat got all over he clothes and stuck (black coat, white shirt) What we did was get tape off the teachers desk and used it and it got some of it off. I think that there is actually some type of tape meant for it, but I'm not too sure about that. You could try using tape or those lint roller things. Good luck, sorry I'm not of much help.

Nope I have plenty og gothic guy and girl friends that wear black nail polish. Now if you weren't gothic it'd be a bit odd, but since you are it doesn't matter. Some people might think so, but I guess because I hang with like everyone from cheerleaders to preps to goths I find it normal. So uhhh, yeah, I think it's normal for a gothic guy to wear black nailpolish!

I'm not a guy so I can't tell you. It all depends on the guy. A few guys have told me that they like it at least trimmed if not completely shaved off. And I know on a guy I'd prefer it off because it could get gross if not.

UGH, NONONONO it is soooo not wrong. I have this friend Denzel Washington (not the famous one, he's only 14) and I don't have a crush on him, but he's cute and really awesome. If you can be friends with someone of a different race then why can't you date them? What do you mean the doctor won't give him any medication. If he really has ADHD then he should be given medication. Are you positive that your son has ADHD? Go to another doctor and get a second opinion. Medicine doesn't help all ADHD positive people. I have a friend with it and the medicine makes her sick to her stomach, she just has to try not to get too much caffiene in her and every once in a while with her doctors approval she doesn't take it. If you're worried about it then talk to the doctor or get a second opinion. My brother has ADD not ADHD, but when he doesn't take his medicine (and sometimes even when he does) he can be a real pain in the ass. (excuse my french.) Depending on your sons age maybe he's too young to take it. The only medicine available for ADD and ADHD is pills, the kind you swallow. I'm 14 and I've never once swallowed a pill, the thought frightens me. So maybe it has something to do with age or even the side effects. I know a girl that lost 10lbs in a week while on that medication and she almost fainted one night while at my house, it can be dangerous. Talk to the doctor about it.

What's the step below going out? This guy said he likes me and wants to be the step below going out, because he doesn't think "going out" at this age is a good idea. We're more than friends though, I know that.. Any ideas on what it could be?

Well, I'd think it's friends w/ benefits, but since you say it isn't... Then maybe just close friends, or best friends. Going to movies together except not holding hands and not kissing or any of that, just walking together and going out to eat together and going to movies together, stuff like that would be the level below going out. this is mostly.. to people.. 18+ just because i believe yall may have more experience with things like this but all opinions are welcome.. okay i've been on birth control for about.. a month and a half.. and well me and my b/f recently started having sex.. with a condom as well.. we had sex tonight and the condom broke he had already ejaculated and was "pulling out".. and realized it was broken.. do u think i could possibly get preg... my BC pills say to use a back up method of birth control for the first 7 days but i've been on it like i said a month and a half.. so give me ur opinions.. should i be worried????

I'm only 14, but I've been taking parent/child development this semester, and we went over this a long time ago. I can tell you birth control pills are over 95% effective and you used the condom too. But you should remember, you could always be that '5%' (I use the '' sign because I don't have the exact number) So there is ALWAYS a chance. Most likely you'll be fine, but there isn't a 100% sure fire way to tell. I'd go to planned parent hood, or to the local health department to get a test just to make sure. I assume since you're asking mostly 18+ people that you're 18+ but I could be wrong and you might just want more experienced people. If you've been taking the pill correctly it should work well, but to let you know some pills don't work to their best until 2-3 months in, because the 1st month, or 1-6 weeks your body is getting used to it and the hormone change. Good luck with that!

this might seem like a dumb question, but if u swallow pre-cum (not knowing what it is), can you get pregnant?

Unless the sperm or pre cum enters your vagina then there is no possibility of pregnancy. If there was, then oral sex would also be a possibility of pregnancy, which to my knowlege, it isn't.

My friend and i are both in theater arts, and she got the role i wanted, and i tried not to be jealous of her, but i am. i know she's really good, and deserves the part, but i get mad at her whenever she brings it up, because shes almost bragging. I just really wanted the part, and now she thinks im mad at her, and i guess i kinda am. wat can i do?

Tell her you think you're jealous of her because she got the role you wanted and ask her not to bring it up. Then after the play is over, congratulate her on doing a good job. (and if she sucked, don't tell her, just laugh secretly in your mind... or just still congratulate her) Soon it will be over and won't matter anymore. I'm in theatre arts, and our final exam is doing a play, I'm in a group of four, and I am not the best of actors, I used to be, but it's been about 2 years so I'm just getting into the hang of doing this again. Well the part I wanted and knew I could do well was given to a different girl in the group. But she's doing really good with it, and I'm doing pretty good with my role (It has less lines to remember!!!) so all is good. Most friends get mad at their friends is a friend says that they are jealous, but most likely everone on this site is jealous of one of their friends, I know I am. So just tell her you're kind of feeling jealous that she got that role, and ask her to try not to talk about it a lot, because even though she might not be, she sounds like she's bragging.
