20 year old female. Second year in college.
I have problems making friends in person. It's so simple online when you say whatever, and people "add" you for liking the way you think, or liking your sense of humor. I feel like I act the same way offline as I do online, except I'm a little more shy in person [even tho' somtimes I can be pretty quiet online as well].
SO I pretty much act the same way both on and offline... why do people act differently towards me? For example... I can be getting along well with someone from a class, then the next time I see them they act as if they don't know me. Why would they do that? VS online, when greeted with enthusiasm.
Also, I've gotten more compliments on my looks online than I have offline. When I have gotten compliments offline, it was usually to get me to buy something [or for modeling, when I was a kid]. But the only guys who have approached me were womanizers, just trying to get into as many pants as they possibly could. They were pretty indiscriminate, too. I've never dated anyone since no one ever approached me, and I never thought too much of myself, either.
But the rare occasions I've showed a picture to people online ["i'll only show you my picture if you show me yours"], i get "9/10" ratings [i wouldnt even ask for one, so this always makes me feel weird] and people saying how beautiful i look and how they're surprised i was never asked out on a date, etc. I tell them not to say things like that if they wouldnt dare say it offline... All this makes me feel strange, and I wonder:
-why is it that people act kind towards me online, and shun me out offline?
-what makes me unapproachable offline?
the only people i have been interested in [to date] i've met online. ive been told it's pathetic to meet up with online people for dating, even tho there are a lot of dating sites and success stories, but i keep getting told i seem like the kind of person who would be successful offline. I'm just really confused and sometimes I feel alone and sad over this... (link)

It's because you don't act the same way offline as you do online, really no one does. You said it yourself: "I'm a little more shy in person." Confidence is a big part of how people treat you, and it's a lot easier to be confident online. I have the same problem pretty much, often hearing things like "you're so sweet, how are you still single?" when talking to girls online, but I haven't had a girlfriend in 3 years, with only a few dates here and there since then. As for giving you compliments, well remember other people are less shy online as well, I know I've said things to girls online that I couldn't work up the nerve to say in person. It could just be that non-womanizing guys are too shy to approach you offline. If you are after guys to date, you can just try making the first move yourself. If you are after friends, join a club for something that interests you. Discussions on the subject at a meeting can end up being not unlike an online discussion, and you can see who you get along with and try to meet up with them again later.

Me and my boyfriend have been going out for about 1 year and a half... We have a 3 month old daughter... I'll admit I get a little jealous... I found out that he has been texting his ex girlfriend who lives in california (we live in texas) and deleted all the messages from and to her but the rest he left... he said its nothing were just good friends... and he said he deleted them cuz he knew i would get mad... We got in this HUGE argument about it and said that he'll stop contact with her... and he did... NOW i come to find out hes texting another ex gilrfriend of his who lives here in the same city.... I'm torn... I dont know what to do.... any suggestions compliments advices will help. (link)

Well she lives a few states over, so it seems unlikely he's getting any play. Hiding it was wrong, but as he said he knew you'd get mad, and you did. One of my exes is currently one of my best friends, it just works out that way sometimes. Now if he starts taking weekend getaways to California, then maybe you'll have something to worry about, but for now I would just drop the issue.

It's far less common for a girl to fall for a friend than it is to fall for a bisexual guy, just saying. As far as liking someone goes, what their sexuality is doesn't really matter, I mean, I've liked a lesbian before, and obviously nothing was gonna happen there. But yeah, he's bisexual so he likes girls and there really shouldn't be a problem if you want to go for it.

When I was younger, I was molested for 2 years by my stepbrother. A year after, my boyfriend cheated on me, and my last boyfriend only wanted to date me because he wanted sex. I have always had trouble trusting guys, and I always am awkward and scared around them - even my own dad. It's hard for me to get close to a guy, and I've always thought that they were all the same. Don't judge us by our worst specimens (this goes for electriclime as well). I haven't really found any difference in trustworthiness between guys and girls. It's not even true that all most guys want is sex, however it is true that most guys want sex, its not prioritized as high as media would have you believe. You went through a traumatic experience, have you considered getting counseling? I know it's not for everyone, but something to think about. Thinking all guys are the same because a few were horrible is kinda sexist anyway.

OK bare with me. I am copying and pasting the spaces into this so if I miss one some how I am sorry. Ok so I dropped my keyboard today and now my spacebar won't work. Start > Programs > Accessories > Accessibility > On Screen keyboard
You can probably get a nice cheap keyboard at Target or Walmart, if you want even cheaper try some thrift stores, they're bound to have old ones you can get for a couple of bucks.

Hacking his phone is unlikely, what is fairly likely however is him willingly showing/sending it to someone. Either to his close friends almost immediately, or to everyone if you break up.

I just started having my periods like 3 months ago and I was wondering if that means my cherry has popped? I read when your cherry pops that you bleed. Does that mean my cherry is popped since I bleed every month or what? My boyfriend wants me to give him a blow job and I really do want to but I feel weird every time I try to do it. It's not that I feel bad about it but I feel like I'm not doing a good enough job. My boyfriend is bisexual and I thought it was really cool for awhile because we could talk about boys together and not feel weird. Tell him you don't find the idea sexy, that it makes you uncomfortable, and that you don't want to do it. It's really best to be direct about these sorts of things.

It only takes once to get infected, as you may or may not have just found out. Yes, you can get pretty much any STD through anal sex, most are even more likely to be gotten that way than through vaginal intercourse.

My best friend is a boy and I am a girl. We are both 16. We have been best friends since our wee ages in the third grade. Everyone thinks that since we are best friends, we automatically love each other, I don't think that's the case. I mean, I love him but like a best friend. However, lately, I think I've been seeing.. more than friend actions from him. I started liking his best friend in a school function we both partake in. We text alot because we don't have any classes together and when we text we laugh and have a great time talking about God knows what, then I would bring up the boy and it would seem as if he lost his personality, he won't say "haha" anymore and he puts ".." after everything. So one day I told him I feel like there is something he wants to say but isn't and he said "It's not what you think" and I said "i know but what is it" and he said "there's nothing to say". What do you think that was all about?
Next we have our in person meets. We talk in school and when we do, we are always smiling. People walk by us oohing and ahhing all the time, it gets old. Next, I bring him in food for after school practices everyday. Everyone has a name for the crackers because they're his favorite and that's what I bring him. He also wears one of my silly bandz.
Then there is my family, he hung out at my house once and he was so calm and collected around my really annoying cousin. Both of his parents (not to sound conceited) love me. His mom will tell me to stay warm when it's cold out and that kinda stuff.
When I need help with homework, I always go to him and no matter what he will always help me.
He sings and I have been yearning to hear him sing for quite a while now but everytime I make a time for him to come over, he bails. Yet, he can sing at parties and to other people.
I am usually a very happy, bubbly person but on the off chance I am not, I will go to him with my problems, I'll tell him that my mom sometimes makes me want to punch something and after it's all over, I'll apologize for dumping all of my problems on him and he will say "don't apologize, I want to know what's getting you down."
Don't answer me and say "talk to him about it" because when I talk to him about what some annoying girl said to me, he will tell me to just not let it bother me, that all of the stuff is untrue about us.

I don't know what to do with him! I found out from my bff that my bf made a facebook group thing about our relationshp. I went and red a few things on it and it is personal and nothing anybody should know but us so I told him I knew he had a secret he was keeping from me but not what it was so he would tell me or something but he didn't. i kinda thought that he posted stuff and didn't think it was bad and I wanted to give him chances to say so but he just said he didnt have no secrets so i went back to read the rest and he had made it private only so now it is hidden from me.
I guess what I am asking is if he didn't think this was wrong why did he hide it when i found out? He still denies everything and now i got no proof because i cant see it anymore!!! i have been crying about this and i feel betrayed like he has a secret life on facebook or something! should i stay with him if he isn't going to be honest and still hides things?

If anything the questions isn't long enough. Without knowing the details of what he was saying it's kinda hard to tell. Everyone has secrets, but if he was posting things like "she makes a cute face when we are having sex" then yeah you should be mad.

Hello, i have been having a problem with the internet on my laptop since we switched to a new ISP.
The internet seems to stop working, and then starts working randomly. Ive rang the company like 10 times, each time they tell me to do something different, and it then works for a bit. However, since last night, it hasnt worked at all- the company has been unable to resolve the issue. The wireless network works on all the other wireless devices in the house, just not my laptop.
The ISP told me that expired Anti-virus protection may block internet access. The thing is, the internet works when connected from the modem to the laptop directly via an Ethernet cable. Also, the desktop computer with usually is connected via ethernet has the same expired anti-virus software (norton 360) on it, and it seems to work fine.
My question is whether wireless internet can stop working just because of expired anti-virus protection?

I've never heard of such a thing. All internet access maybe, but even that's unlikely. It's probably just a problem with your internet/connection settings.
