Out of date anti-virus protection Hello, i have been having a problem with the internet on my laptop since we switched to a new ISP.
The internet seems to stop working, and then starts working randomly. Ive rang the company like 10 times, each time they tell me to do something different, and it then works for a bit. However, since last night, it hasnt worked at all- the company has been unable to resolve the issue. The wireless network works on all the other wireless devices in the house, just not my laptop.
The ISP told me that expired Anti-virus protection may block internet access. The thing is, the internet works when connected from the modem to the laptop directly via an Ethernet cable. Also, the desktop computer with usually is connected via ethernet has the same expired anti-virus software (norton 360) on it, and it seems to work fine.
My question is whether wireless internet can stop working just because of expired anti-virus protection?
Thanks in advance folks :)

I've never heard of such a thing. All internet access maybe, but even that's unlikely. It's probably just a problem with your internet/connection settings. ]
