It's really really not your fault... at all! How could it be? It's not like you said, "Mom, get as drunk as you can so we can take you to the hospital." I still can't believe that happened. I'm so sorry. My grandma drinks... A LOT! And it really scares me. Even if I tell her to stop, she won't. It scares me that she might pass out and die but I've tried and I can;t say I haven't. She's an old woman and right now, drinking is bad for her system. My point is there is nothing you could have done about, sweetie. Nothing. If you told her to stop and she didn't, then you can't say you haven't tried. Because, sweetie, you've tried your best. If your mom was willing to give up her drinking for you, that's great but obviously she didn't knowing that you wanted her to. Hun, nothing you can say can stop her from drinking because no matter what, she would still be drinking if she was alive. It's not your fault at all. O.K- Self esteem problems, huh? Well, if you send her to a spa or some kind of make-over place, she'll look and feel better. I used to think I had a wierd nose. I always said "I'm so ugly." and my mom said, "No you're not." My grandma told me I was ugly, my friends told me I was ugly, people on the streets told me I was ugly. It wasn't true because guys like me fine. LOL. But, if you get her an extreme make-over (not with surgery- nose jobs, boob jobs, etc.) but like... haircuts, make-up, clothes, etc. It'll work. My best friend (my true one, that is) did that for me and when I went back to school, I felt better bout my self and people treated me different! I was so proud. Surprise her, ok? Hey Katie. DON'T beg for her forgiveness. If you do, she's going to haunt you more and more. She'll keep doing it. At school, giver her the cold shoulder and trust me, it works. After a week or so, she'll be kissing your butt and she'll be begging you for forgiveness. I sat on the internet for five hours and IMed my best friend begging for forgiveness. Never worked. I started giving her the cold shoulder. After a week, she wrote a note saying "I'm sorry! I've been a total jerky friend. Will you ever forgive me? Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" HAHA! I was laughing like crazy! I couldn't believe it. Ignore her. She's not worth the fuss and fight and breath. She'll treat you like dirt but once she finds out that you're not letting it bother you, she'll be like, "What's going on?" and she'll be so confused. I've been through this a million times with a million people. Trust me. This one girl in high school about 22 years ago (I'm 37 now) spread rumors about me. She told people that I watched pron and that I was a leasbian and it's not even true! Then she stole my boyfriend! To this day, she's begging me for forgiveness. LOL. Trust me. Rate me. It works ok? Then say, "So-and-so, I really like you." then, wait for a response. He'll most likely say, "I really like you too." Then, you say, "Some friends of mine told me that you wanted to go steady with me. Is this true." If there is an awkward silence after this santence, don't be alarmed. It's hard for guys too. He'll most likely say, "Yes, Karen. This is true." and that is how I married my husband! :) See? Beautiful relationship! Trust me, girl. He likes you but he's scared just like you. My mom was the same way a long time ago. You know what? No matter how old you are, what you do, or what you say, you have to know that your mom will love you always. But you could try talking to her. Sit her down and explain to her how you feel about this situation. Tell her you feel ignored and see what she says. When I told my mom that, she was spending more and more time with me. Trust me. If your mom loves you, she'll listen but make sure you tell her how you feel and don't be scared, O.K?

LOL... O.K. I've been in this same situation... twice. But they were girls. Why don't you suggest something to him? (Not that that would work but... try it) Suggest some kind of body wash or something. Go to him and KINDLY say "I don't mean to be rude but... you have body oder so could you please wash yourself more often?" or something like that. Make sure it's kind because people like that get their feelings hurt easily, even though they have a really easy time hurting OTHER peoples feelings. Best of luck.
