Hey Everyone :) I'm Kate and a level 2 mod on here. I've had this account since July 2004, so I've been on here since I was 13! Wow ... crazy for me to think how long ago that was. I will admit I don't check in as often as I once did, but being away at college, being in a sorority, and having a job when I'm not at school is very time consuming. I still try to help out as much as possible, and if you send me a question I WILL answer it. This site helped me a LOT when I was in high school and had a lot of questions, and I'm here to help anyone who needs it :) Feel free to write in my forum or send me a question any time!

I just have some questions about weed i would like you guys to answer please. How long does your first high last for? I hear its kinda long..how much does dime bag cost? Is it easy rolling the weed with the rolling paper? is it ok to try it like 3 times in 3 years? Is it really addicitive?

I don't know if I have any friends that haven't done weed, so here are my ansswers.
1.) It lasts for a while maybe an hour or even longer
2.) Anywhere from $10-$30 it depends on if you know the person giving it to you, and the 'quality of the weed'
3.) My friends have been doing it for a while so it's easy for them, I have no personal experience so I don't know
4.) No, it's illegal, my aunt found out tonight that I do 'bad' stuff such as drugs and drinking (I haven't in a while I tried quitting but it's hard) and she was like WOAH, she's a doctor at a hospital and she was telling me all this stuff, it's too much to type but it could in the long run damage your brain.
5.) It's not so addictive to where you want it so bad you'd prostitute your body to get more if you were broke.(that's what a friend told me before I was willing to try it) If you mean just weed that is, if you mean all drugs then they all differ, some are really really addictive and really unhealthy, like never in my life will I try exticy(sp?) because that stuff is HARSH!

Really in the long run all drugs are bad for you, I mean being high is an awesome feeling, but it's really dangerous not to mention illegal. And my aunt was telling me that if and when they legalize MJ it'll only be for medicinal purposes like it is now. So I'm sorry to burst any bubble you blew, but I know a lot about drugs, and trust me you don't want to get into them because it's EXTREMELY HARD to get out!

Ok, I am 14 and turning 15 in a couple of months. I have not started my period and I wear a size B bra so I'm not sure why i haven't started yet. My sister and mom started when they were 12-13 years old, is there something wrong? Thanks Alot!

I was at a party tonight and my mom announced that I hadn't started yet, well my moms best friends daughter who is now like 21 told me she didn't start until she was 16, so it doesn't really matter. Are you into sports at all? Because if so then it'll still be a lot longer before you start. Or are you super skinny or super fit, or have you ever had an eating disorder. I used to be anorexic, that's what's holding mine off. If not, you still shouldn't be worried, but if you are then next time you go to your doctor ask about it. Happy holidays!

Ok, well, right now, i'm in 7th grade. Well, a couple of weeks ago, i got bored and well, i fingered myself...i kno pretty desprit, eh? You only get diseases from it if he has AIDS or something in his blood and there's an open wound on his finger. Otherwise it's pretty much okay. How old are you, like 12? I don't know I'm just saying that because when I was in 7th grade I was 11 turning 12. But whatever. I think that's sort of young, but hey do what you please. Oh, and fingering yourself is called masturbation, a lot of people do that.

Hey everyone. I have my own column, but I can't answer my own question. I met a guy online back in May or around that time. We didn't talk much until now, and we've gotten soooo much closer. We both think we're soulmates and meant for each other. Even though I haven't met him, I feel this connection, and it's really cool. I just don't know what to think though, because I hear all those stories on the news and everything, and it really scares me. What if he's a rapist or a serial killer or something?! I really don't think he is, because of some of the conversations we've have, but there's always that chance. I just want to know you're opinions on this, and what I should do about it. There isn't a way for you to do that without meeting him. I live in NC, and I know quite a few 16 year olds though, if you know his full name and want to toss one in the inbox I could try to look something up or ask a friend. Then again it depends what part of NC he lives in. I live in concord, but I know a lot of people that live in Matthews and Indian trail and in Huntersville in the Lake Norman area. What you could do is you could get you a parent, or a HUGE group of friends, tell him you'll meet him at the movies (well since you live so far away I'm not sure where you could meet him unless you visit NC sometime soon) but whatever you do DON'T go anywhere alone just you and him. Some of the people like that wait even months before doing anything wrong, so you always have that chance. I'm sorry I couldn't be much more help. But really if you want give me his name and what part of NC he lives in and I'll look him up!! Happy Holidays. P.S. I know a lot of cops, my neighbor is dating one and there are like 3 that live in my neighborhood, I could always find out at least something big or small. Hope I'm of some help to you!!

Nope, unfortunately not. But some of the cheaper one's do. It all depends on like the quality of the camera. Just go to wal-mart and get a cheap one that has a screen. Or go to some place like Radio Shack, or F.Y.E, or one of those electronics places.

I just turned 14 and I am wondering how far most people go with a guy at this age? like what would you consider reasonable?? I havent done much with guys so far but if the time was right I want to know my limits!!! whats idea of a 14 yr old?

Well, I say making out is fine for your age. Go as far as you are comfortable. I mean if you're comfortable with having oral sex, have oral sex. Just know that you can get STDs such as
syphilis(sp?) from oral. And I think sex would be too far because then you have chances of pregnancy and STDs, so for now making out and whatever you're comfortable with, just not sex. You'll find a lot of 14 year olds aren't virgins, especially in high school, but it's better to wait until you can handle the consequences...

What should i get my mom and dad for xmas? i dont have any money and i cant go out and buy anything so i was wondering if any of you have any ideas on what i could give them or make them? i hope you have some ideas because i only have 2 days! i will rate for effort! ill give you a five!

Well, someone else asked that and I'll tell you what I told her, coupons. Like back in 5th grade when you made those things that said... I'll mow the lawn once for free, I'll do all chores on day for free, I'll wash the car for free... things like that. You can also do things such as breakfast. What me and my friend did one year for mothers day was we called up Kiss 95.1 (a popular radio station where we live) and we wished them a happy mothers day. Also one year me and my friend made lunch for our parents. I hope I gave you some ideas to think about. Good luck and happy holidays!

How long have you lived in NC, and where else have you lived, and what states/countries have you been to?

It will be 6 years July 5th 2005, I lived in Syracuse New York before I moved here. I've been to the states New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, South Carolina, Florida, North Carolina, and I think that's it. And I have NEVER been out of this country, I think next year I might go to Italy though, I'm not really sure. (I'm Italian, and I'm French so I kind of want to go to France also)

I'm the one in the grayish jacket on the end. The one in the middle is Katie, she's a friend of my sisters and we're sort of friends, and the one on the other end is my sister, her and katie are sophmores and I'm a freshman, they both have columns but my sister answered like 1 Q and then never came back, Katies is something like greeneyedgodess or greeneyedgoddess or something, I don't know if she still uses her column or not.

Hey, I know you and you were in my math class last semester, I was just wondering what are your classes and teacher next semester?

Haugen -- we tried getting her fired 1st semester, but it didn't work so I am going to have her for health/p.e or whatever she teaches

Olsen -- Boring history teacher so I hear

Langley -- Again, she hated me last semester and moved me to the desk in front of her, I am not happy about having her again

Mattson -- I hear he's a pretty cool science teacher but I'd rather have Mr. Shaffer(sp?) since he was in charge that one day I had sat. school and he now knows me.

I'm trying to change so I don't have ms haugen and ms langley but it probably won't happen.

I live in NC too, I live in Indian Trail, what part do you live in?

I live about 45 minutes from there, I live in Concord. Like if you tak I85 or one of those highways it's only 45minutes away, but if you go the other way then it's an hour. My mom's bestest friend lives in the neighborhood Brandon Oaks which is in Matthews/Indian Trail.

Hey, I want to be a high school teacheer, like that can teacher many different courses, like the CTE courses, what are some good colleges that I could go to?

I went to my school webpage and looked to see if we had any CTE classes (because I have no idea what CTE is) and we do, I actually took one of those classes this semester. Well the teacher the teacher I had went to Meredith (and all girls college, blah) and I know that you can go to Appalachian in NC (that's also where Meredith is) Check out their sites because they are really really cool colleges, I just don't like meredith b/c it's all girls haha and I can't go to an all girls school, I need guys in my life!! Last night my best friends parents got into a car accident. Her dad had to spend the night in the hospital because he broke his ribs and lost a lot of blood. Her mom is doin ok, she has internal bruises but is taking everything well. The doctors thought that her dad was going to die, but he made it through the night. Ive never been in this sort of situation before. I dont know what to say or what to do. Please help, i really need to be there for my friend!!!!!!!

I'm not really sure what you can say to your friend. My friends mother is going through brain tumors, her sister gets seizures all the time, but I make sure she knows that she can talk to me. About 1 and a half or 2 weeks ago we went to the guidance councilor together to talk about it (but that's b/c I'm also close with her family and was feeling a lot of he pain) Just let her know that you're there when she wants to talk, or just when she wants to cry. If you have a cell phone then leave it on all night just in case she needs you and wants to call you. Usually people grieving don't want to talk about it at all, or they just feel like they can't talk about it. I lost a friend in a car accident back in late September, we were drinking, she was 17 and was driving home, and she got in a wreck. It would've been her 18th birthday almost 2 months ago. I had a teacher that knew about it so that's who I talked to, none of my friends knew her or what I was going through, the teacher helpled me realize it wasn't my fault and stuff. You have to help her realize that she has people who love her, and that she can come to you whenever she needs a friend, day or night, anytime anywhere. Just like that song... There ain't no mountain high enough... from the movie Stepmom. You also have to go through with that. Whenever she needs you, you have to be there. If you have no possible ways of getting to her then you have to have some way of still being able to help. She needs you now more then ever, just be a shoulder to cry on, someone to talk to, or someone to just listen to her and let her vent. I'm really sorry to hear about your friends parents, and I hope they're all right. I've lost a lot of people recently, my best friend, and a kid I'd only known a few months 2 years ago just recently passed away from OD, I know what your friend is going through, waiting trying to see if the loved one in the hospital will make it, it's torture and really what she needs is someone to talk to, or someone to listen to her, or just a shoulder to cry on. Be there for her, that's all you can do. DON'T say you know how she feels if you don't. If you haven't been through what she's going through then don't say you know, try to understand, but just be there for her! Hope everything turns out for the best! Good Luck!

Yeah, excercise and eating healthy always works. The next best thing is dumping your asshole of a boyfriend for wanting you to look a certain way.
