i am 14 years old, and about two months ago i lost my verginity to my 17 year old boyfriend. we werent even going out for 2 months yet, and we didnt even know eachother for 3 months. but we were both vergins and i know he really wanted to lose his verginity. and it was prom night, so it was kind of expected. i wanted to have sex with him, but i never wanted to become who my friends are who lost their verginities at 12 and 13. there is something seriously wrong with my town where girls thing its okay to have sex in junior high, and i know its not wrong. i dont feel like i was pressured into sex but i feel like i wanted to wait and now theres no turning back. and me and my boyfriend are incredibly close and i know we'll be together for the rest of my high school and i honestly want to grow with him into a family when we get older but i just dont know if i feel right about this.. like when im a parent, and my kids ask me when i first had it, im going to have to say 14 and im going to have to live forever knowing that i was a little slut. and im so worried that im going to like emotionally break down because i worry too much about this.. i dont know what to do, should iu stop having sex with him? even though theres no turning back, and i do enjoy it.? i just dont know. and i absolutly cannot talk to my mom about it. she believes in sex after marriage and expects me to stick with it. and she would deffinitely dig a hole and burry me in it if she found out.. please help
"there is something seriously wrong with my town where girls thing its okay to have sex in junior high,"
- First of all, I just want to say, there's something wrong with this country because this is happening everywhere and it's so sad...
Alright, back to your question. I don't mean to come off as harsh at all, because that is NOT my intention, but you need to really face reality here. You're with a 17 year old and you think you're going to spend the rest of you life with him? You're so young! You have SO much life left to live, please stop thinking you've found "the one" at age 14. Just because you think you'll be together forever does NOT mean you have to have sex with him. I just wanted to get that out of the way, because I don't want you to feel as though he's the only guy worth dating and that you have to have sex with him.
Next, if you're questioning whether or not to continue having sex with him, you probably should stop having sex with him. If you are in any way uncomfortable with it [regardless of if you enjoy the actual act or not], then you shouldn't push yourself into it. If you're feeling ashamed about it, stop doing it! If you're worried about breaking down, it must be having a much larger affect on you than you're telling us. If your boyfriend truly cares for you, he'll understand =]
Finally, I don't think you're a "little slut", and I don't think you should either. Don't feel bad about this, because you can make it better. Instead of telling your kids you "lost it when you were 14", you can say, "I made the mistake of losing it young" or something alone those lines. Also, you've learned from this experience, which makes it a little less worse.
I hope you make the right choice!
ps. "verginity" is spelt "virginity". Just thought I'd inform you =]

So what is your opinion on implants? I am completely undecided about getting them or not. And I have done the research, the myth about losing feeling is NOT true. I have read many positive reviews and many negative... What is your opinion on a female with implants?
"Personally I think it's not natural and it's disgusting. It's a huge turn off for me. I think we should appreciate what God gave us, and not do things like that."
Jack pretty much said it all. Inplants are gross looking and unnatural. Plys, they're not always safe. Why can't we all just be happy with our bodies? =/
-Laura. (16-f)
okay so i've been looking for blue jean shorts like EVERYWHERE. you would think they would have millions out there but i've been able to fine NONE! not even at A&F. HELP!??!
I suggest Old Navy. They have a really good variety and a ton of choices!
You can also try Target. They have some good shorts, too.

okay so i'm 16 and i have never been on a date or even kissed a guy for that matter. it makes me kinda sad because there are freshman who have already had like 3 boyfriends in one year. and i know i shouldn't compare myself to them but it makes me feel like there more mature when i know that there not.
anyways! is this weird that i haven't done anything and i'm already 16?
It isn't weird at all.
I know 8th graders who have gone farther than me and a lot of people I know. The times are changing, and it's really kind of disgusting.

i like this boy but i dont know if he likes me. once me and my friend past and started looking at me.once he gave me a teddybear for christmas to. is that a sign
Well, I'm not a guy, but giving somebody a teddy bear seems like a sweet gesture that could mean he likes you.
Here's a question my friend, Jack [a guy] answered that may help you:

In the past week, ive made myself throw up twice.
Does this make me bulimic?
Because since ive done it, after most meals i feel the need to, but so far ive resisted.
Until a few hours ago.
Help.
xx
If you've only done it twice in your entire life, it probably isn't classified as bulimia...yet. BUT, it does sound like it could be an early stage or the startings of it.
You need to tell somebody. It isn't healthy to make yourself throw up. Not only is it unhealthy because of the obvious [weight lose], but it causes A LOT of internal damage as well.

So this guy I was going out with during Summer 06 just reconnected with me about a week ago. It was really random, but we just started talking about how we used to be so close two years before, although he has a girlfriend.
And he said, "I think I'm going to break up with her. I really like you. I want to be with you."
But then he decided he wanted to stay with her. I was basically led on, and I don't know how he feels anymore but he has a girlfriend when he told me he liked me still. I don't know what to do or where I stand, I already explained to him how I felt and it wasn't fair, and he just said he was sorry about it but there was nothing he could do. It's tough, bc he won't talk to me the same anymore.
I don't really know what to do. Should I give up on him or what?
If he decided to stay with her, he must've had his reasons. I know you might not like it, but then is then and this is now. He's with his girlfriend NOW, and he's no longer with you. It's really not his fault, either. We all have those moments of, "Did I do the right thing?".
I'm sorry, but I think you should move on. It isn't fair to his girlfriend if you keep hanging around him when he chose to stay with her. I'm sure you can find somebody new who doesn't have a girlfriend and who won't lead you on.
I also think you should not bring it up with him anymore. If he won't talk to you the same way, it's probably because it makes him uneasy and uncomfortable. So, try to just be FRIENDS with him, and talk about other things.
-Laura. (16-f)
ok im 15 im a male and I love my girlfriend with all my heart and weve both bin talkin about how much we love each other and we both are dying 2 have our first kiss. how do i know wen the mood is rite and will she give me hints? if she does hint 2 me wat will they be?
I'm not a guy, but you'll probably know when it's time. When you do it, don't do it just anywhere. Make it sort of special. Don't kiss her when you're sitting in Burger King or something. Do it when you're someplace special, after you've both had a great time together ot soemthing. I don't know, like I said, I'm not a guy and I really don't have much experience in this department ;]
Anywho...different girls also give different hints, but here are some common hints she might give:
- Smiling a lot.
- A lot of eye contact.
- Acting a bit shy.
- Playing with her hair.

Who are some other good acoustic sounding singers such as Jack Johnson, Gavin Degraw and John Mayer?
I know of a band called Brighten. They're similar to those artists.
Other than that, try:
- Tim Myers.
- Jason Mraz.
- Matt Nathanson.
- Landon Pigg.
- James Morrison.
That's all I could think of. Enjoy!

the book Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
I would like to know what people thought about it.
What is it about
was it good.
please keep in mind that i am only on chapter 3 so please don't spoil the ending =]
Oh! I just finished that book. I thought it was really good. I think the first few chapters were the best, then the middle got kind of boring, but the end got good again.
It's mainly about Susie's family and friends, and how they have to cope with her murder and whatnot, I guess. But it's written really well, and it kept me interested.
All in all, it was an excellent book and I WISH it was my required reading like [the other] Laura said below ;]

me and my boyfriend has been together for a year now. he has changed alot. when he is out with his friends and i call him, he tells me that he is busy and can't talk. but that really doesn't make since to me because he turns around a text me. i feel like if you are busy then how can u take out the time to text me but you are busy. it's takes more time to text then to actually talk to him. so should i suspect that he is cheating. he also acts very differnt towards me too.
First of all, don't jump to any conclusions. Don't assume he's cheating on you just because he doesn't call you every 5 minutes.
Next, have you talked to him about it? The only way you'll get any answers is to talk to him. He is the only one who knows why he's acting this way, and he's the only one who can give you the truth.
I also want to say, I disagree with you. Texting takes a lot LESS time than actually having a phone conversation. If he's with friends and is talking to them, how can he talk to you at the same time? Exactly, he can't. However, he can send you a simple text message. Typing a few words on the phone keypad doesn't take as much time as actually talking to you and whatnot.
You probably have nothing to worry about.

I'm a teenage girl and I need some cute clothes. What are some good stors to shop at?
Forever 21.
- This store has a TON of cute clothes for almost any occasion [graduation, holidays, parties, everyday], and the prices are great. It also has the cutest jewelry and accessories!
Website:http://www.forever21.com/Default.asp
Charlotte Russe.
- This store has clothes that are a bit more dressy and grown up. It has a lot of unique styles, and the prices are also pretty reasonable. Sometimes the prices can get a bit high, but it's worth it if you're looking for some different clothes.
Website: http://www.charlotterusse.com/home/
Old Navy.
- Who doesn't love Old Navy? It has clothes for girls AND guys, young AND old. The clothes are always awesome, not to mention their flip flops are classic ;]
Website: http://www.oldnavy.com/
Steve and Barry's.
- It used to only have hoodies and sweatshirts, but now they have 2 clothing lines [by Sarah Jessica Parker and Amanda Bynes]. The prices are so low, and the clothes are so cute, it's stupid not to shop here.
Website: http://www.steveandbarrys.com/
Wet Seal.
- This store is geared more torwards younger teens, and more for everyday clothing. They have really cute tees and tanks, and the prices aren't bad, either.
Website: http://www.wetseal.com/home.jsp
Delia's.
- This store has the best graphic tees and also some really cute bathing suits. Sometimes they can get a little pricey, but the clothes totally are worth it!
Website: http://store.delias.com/frontpage.do
Victoria's Secret!
- Not for underwear [though, they have a lot of that], but for their PINK line. It can get a bit pricey, but it's just so darn comfortable and cute. You'll love it, I promise.

Happy Shopping!

17/f. On my cheer team, i am one of the oldest girls. There are some girls 2 years younger than me. I am pretty mature and even at there age I was pretty mature. Pretty much every single girl is extremely immature. They all talk about baby shows and make fun of people in childish ways, and mess with people who are minding there own business. I dont want to like talk to them about it so dont tell me that, but like when we all hang out its hard to really talk to them because they talk about things that i was into 5 years ago. like there still in the boys have cooties kind of stage only not as bad. how do i like deal with this, and not seem all shy when they all talk about stuff i find very annoying?! I'm really starting to get sick of all of them. Thanks =]
ps. im not all mature, serious, boring and stuff, so dont take it that way. im just more into the high school/college stuff, while there still in the middle school stage =D
Well, there isn't much to do other than confronting them about it.
But since you don't want to do that, try, like somebody said below, changing the subject. Try talking about things you're all into, like music or the cheer team itself.
Either that, or ignore them. Are there other older girls on the team? If so, try talking to them more than the younger girls. Let the younger girls talk to each other about their stuff, and you and the older girls can talk on your own.
The one thing I would suggest you talk to them about, is making fun of people. Just tell them it's not cool and you're getting sick of it. If possible, try to find somebody who feels the same way as you, so you can both tell the girls to cut it out.
Good Luck!

14/ female.
okayyyy, so me and my friend like six months ago smoked a blunt at my house and took pictures doing it.. i know dumb idea, lol. so yesterday she saw them on her photobucket and decided to put them on her myspace. well, my brother has her as a friend and he saw the pics of me and her, and he copied the pic and sent it to my mom!
so my mom told my dad to loook at my friends myspace, but me and her had deleted it, but we didnt notice it was on her album cover, soooooooo we got screwed.
my mom had a talk with me and told me that she was upset and hurt that i did that but that she wasnt mad, but i did have to be grounded. ):
it wouldnt bother me much to be grounded but at the moment it does, cause the guy i like is gonna leave to Jersy in 8 days, and i wanna see him before he leaves, and now since im grounded idk how im gonna do that.
so, can you help?
how can i get my parents to unground me asap?!
and/or how can i do it to see this guy before he leaves even if im grounded?!
thanks so much!!!!
p.s NO im not a druggy or none of that, im a goooood students and i behave very well (:
Honestly? I don't think you should try and beg or get your parents to unground you. I think you should just let it be, they're already upset with you. I know you probably are making a face at my answer and thinking I'm oh so wrong, but look at it this way:
You say that you're a good student and you behave well, so I'm assuming your parents trusted you before this incident. Now, they've lost some of that trust along with some of the respect they had for you, and trying to get them to unground you will only make them lose even more respect for you. You have to own up to what you did and take the punishment you've recieved.
The only way you MIGHT get ungrounded early, is showing that you're mature and you know that what you did was wrong. Sometimes, if parents can see your maturity and whatnot, they might cut you some slack.
PLUS, it's not liek you'll never see this guy again. Can't you call him on the phone? Or text him? Or something? It's not like he's leaving forever.
-Laura. (16-f)
im not sure how to put them on your ipod, i got a ipod classic. i tryed downloading one but it didn't download onto my ipod and i payed for it.. any way that was a while ago. so this time... am i suppose to hook the ipod to the computer while it's downloading or what?
iPod games are only for the newer iPod models, such as the video iPod. You can't put them onto the classic iPod, unless it's the newest version. Sorry =/
-Laura. (16-f)
Okay soo..
I'm 16 and a girland I'm talking to a 23 year old.
He's such a sweetheart and he is careful with me.
Do you think that's wrong? Everyone is going against me.
But he talked to a police officer that he is friends with and the officer said that as long as he doesn't force me to have sex with him OR as long as I'm not drunk or anything than it's fine
Idk I'm confused ):
Thanks for inboxing!
Well, 23 IS a bit old for a 16 year old in my opinion, and it's illegal in most places. BUT, if he's not forcing you to have sex with him or do ANYTHING you're not comfortable doing, it's not so bad. I mean, as long as you have a healthy relationship that is pressure free, you're ok.
If you really feel like this is right for you, then keep talking to him. Just BE CAREFUL, and talk to your parents or an older sibling about it. I know, you think I'm crazy for saying that, but it's something you should really consider doing, and it's one small step you should take to ensure your safety.
Even thoguh I think he's a bit old for you, I'm a sucker for love. Like I said, as long as you have a healthy relationship and he's not forcing you into anything, it's not THAT bad, but it's not eprfectly normal, either.
-Laura. (16-f)
ive only kissed somone with my mouth open probally like twice and it wasnt even for long.
i liek this boy and if i makout with him i KNOW ill be nervous expacally because he has hooked up with sooo many girls. can someone give me some good tecniques i wanna make it memorable and i want him to just want more and something we wont forget for a while type of kiss.
advice please !
You need to calm down. If you're nervous, you will do something wrong and it'll be a mess.
There is no right or wrong way to make out. Just because he's done things with a lot of girls doesn't mean he's going to compare you to them. Who does that, honestly?
My only advice to you is to stay calm, and just go with it. Follow his lead, and you'll be fine.
As far as making it memorable goes, it's not all about the kiss. It's about the timing, and the location. A kiss in a Mcdonald's won't be as special as a kiss that takes place under a starry night sky or some other sentimental place.
-Laura. (16-f)
