Q: A bunch of girls and I are going to a concert in two weeks. I feel too stupid to ask them because they have all been to a bunch of concerts but this is my very first one.

So can anyone tell what to wear to a concert?

Thank you!
What kind of concert? Fashion depends.

To avoid repeating anything in the first answer below me:

In general, you should be prepared to get dirty because you're going to get sweaty and there's going to be a lot of people in a closed space so you're gonna be surrounded and perhaps elbowed and stepped on. Jeans is always a safe bet and some kind of boots or sneakers, no flats, Uggs, or flip flops.

Q: Earlier in the month I had sex for the first time. But it wasn't really anything. I was too tight to even go through with it and he really didn't get it inside really. We didn't uses a condom.

This past Saturday I had sex for the second time and this went much better. I used durex and we went at it for a decent amount of time.

But yesterday afternoon and all day today I have experienced an uncomfortable itching sensation that has been on and off. It's center right around the entrance of my vagina and its really bothersome.

I don't know what it is and if it continues to bother me tomorrow, I will get myself checked out. But I want be reassured it's not something major and if it is, an honest answer.

Thanks
Make sure you're not allergic to that kind of condom.

Q: I have the Clean and Clear Advantage 3-in-1 exfoliating cleanser. (This is to wash your face with up to two times a day)

I also have the Clean and Clear Advantage Acne Control Moisturizer (Pretty much a lotion to put on up to three times a day).

They both look the same, by the same name. Can I use both of these each day? Should I use them the maximum number of times that I can? Please help. Thanks a lot.
Actually, it is better to use products from the same brand line because those products are made to be used in combination with each other for maximum effectiveness. Sounds like a good facial cleansing process to me. You are using different products, one cleanser/exfoliator to wash and exfoliate your face and one moisturizer to moisturize your face after cleansing it.

I would recommend only washing your face 2 times a day at most to not risk drying out your face too much, when you wake up and before you sleep, or unless you exercise, you should wash immediately after that too.

Q: So, my best friend and I are in the middle of a prank war. Nothing too mean, just harmless, funny, slightly annoying stuff. Today she went onto facebook and clicked the "like" button on EVERYTHING in my profile, pictures, news feed, etc., so when I signed in I had over 100 notifications and a text from her saying "You're going to hate me, rofl. love yooooou." It was really funny, but now I'm ready to get her back.

Any ideas for silly and harmless pranks I can do through facebook to exact my revenge? Thanks in advance!
I don't think the answer below me of saying that she had sex with animals is a good idea.

Instead, a similar prank would be to tag her as random objects or even other people in a gazillion pictures on Facebook so that she also gets a lot of notifications haha.

Q: Okay Well I'm African American And I'm Really Into The "goth, emo, scene, visual kei" type thing. I Love The Stuff And Thats My Style. However, Everytime I Look Up How To's ANd STuff Its Focused On People Of Lighter Color. I'm A Milk CHocolatey Tone And The Type Of Makeup They FOcus On Just Doesnt Go With It. It Always Says "Make Your SKin Pale ANd Use Bloody Mary Powder" and things Like That, But I Cant Do That. Can Anybody Tell me Makeup I Can Do To Go With My Goth Style, And Not Require Making Myself Pale And Wierd Looking Because Of My COlor? Thanx :]
You don't have to be traditional goth. Like the person below me said, you can use colored mascara (they are really cool and can make your eyelashes any color like bright purple) or eyeshadows to make your eyes pop. Plus, I personally think you can still make the goth look work, even with color. I've seen like bright green and black stripes work. Orange and purple too. Neon colors are good. You don't need the pale aspect. It's way cooler that you are creating your own style.

Check this:

Colorgoth--wear color, such as burgundy, purple, red and/or blue, more often than the typical all black attire

Q: 18/female.

just wondering, can someone just go right into having sex? i know i get really wet really easily so foreplay wouldnt be necessary for me BUT i was wondering about the guy? i'm not into the whole foreplay thing, so i was hoping that we could just go right into sex but i don't know if thats possible!?
Yes, definitely possible. Guys get turned on easily and don't need much foreplay. If he has an erection, he's good to go. Guys usually do foreplay to get the girl aroused.

Q: i might sound dumb for asking this, but i'm pretty new to the whole fingering thing. me and this guy mess around all the time, no sex though. he's tried fingering me before when there was people around! like if we were watching a movie with people and we were sharing a blanket, he'd try sticking his hand down my pants but i thought it was quite awkward because we were with everyone so i pushed his hand away! arent you normally suppose to finger a girl with her pants off, AND underwear?
This is not a dumb question. I can't tell you why guys always try to finger a girl in a public place. Another question showed up here once with something similar too. To answer your actual question, not necessarily. It's easier to get a girl off with her pants on than a guy. You don't really need your underwear and pants off while guys, you know, kind of need more room in their pants so it's harder, if it makes sense. Ever see the movie "Wedding Crashers" at the dinner scene except the genders are reversed?

Q: i have been on birth control for a about a month and two weeks almost three well im not very good at taking them like at all the other week i forgot to take the pill so i took two the next day. then the other day i was about to take it and the pill dropped and i couldnt find it OF COIURSE! that day me and my boyfriend were having sex and i told him not to cum in me but he did anyway. he almost alawys cums in me by the way. (we just started cuming in me thoug) and even missing the pills i dont take them all at the same time everyday sometimes i forget in the morning or i figure i dont have time and take it when i get home from school or b4 i go to bed. but sometimes i take it regurlary everyday in the morning but that lasts like three days. and i know there are chances of getting pregnant ALWAYS! and the way ive been doing things i have a greater chance of but. what are the sighns and stuff and percentage of getting prego. like the first week of getting prego do you have signs i have been pooping like three times a day now that mean anything!
Whoahh, okay, first of all, if you miss a pill, never take 2 to make up for the one you missed. See here for what to do:
http://www.birthcontrolbuzz.com/blog/2007/07/what-happens-if-i-miss-pill.html

Try harder to keep a scheduled time and take it the pill the same time everyday. It's very important.

I have no experience with the possibility of pregnancy. I hope you've asked other Advicenators too because I wouldn't be able to help in that respect.

Signs of pregnancy:

(good site: http://www.americanpregnancy.org/gettingpregnant/earlypregnancysymptoms.html)

(pooping about 3 times probably doesn't mean anything related to pregnancy, don't worry. because one of the signs of pregnancy is constipation, actually, the opposite)

Constipation:

Constipation is another common early symptom of pregnancy. An increase in progesterone causes food to pass more slowly through the intestines, which can lead to constipation.

Implantation Bleeding:

Implantation bleeding can be one of the earliest pregnancy symptoms. About 6-12 days after conception, the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall. Some women will experience spotting as well as some cramping.

Other Explanations: Actual menstruation, altered menstruation, changes in birth control pill, infection, or abrasion from intercourse.
Delay/Difference in Menstruation:

A delayed or missed menstruation is the most common pregnancy symptom leading a woman to test for pregnancy. When you become pregnant, your next period should be missed. Many women can bleed while they are pregnant, but typically the bleeding will be shorter or lighter than a normal period.

Other Explanations: Excessive weight gain/loss, fatigue, hormonal problems, tension, stress, ceasing to take the birth control pill, or breast-feeding.

Swollen/Tender Breasts:

Swollen or tender breasts is a pregnancy symptom which may begin as early as 1-2 weeks after conception. Women may notice changes in their breasts; they may be tender to the touch, sore, or swollen.

Other Explanations: Hormonal imbalance, birth control pills, impending menstruation (PMS) can also cause your breasts to be swollen or tender.
Fatigue/Tiredness:

Feeling fatigued or more tired is a pregnancy symptom which can also start as early as the first week after conception.

Other Explanations: Stress, exhaustion, depression, common cold or flu, or other illnesses can also leave you feeling tired or fatigued.
Nausea/Morning Sickness:

This well-known pregnancy symptom will often show up between 2-8 weeks after conception. Some women are fortunate to not deal with morning sickness at all, while others will feel nauseous throughout most of their pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Food poisoning, stress, or other stomach disorders can also cause you to feel queasy.
Backaches:

Lower backaches may be a symptom that occurs early in pregnancy; however, it is common to experience a dull backache throughout an entire pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Impending menstruation, stress, other back problems, and physical or mental strains.
Headaches:

The sudden rise of hormones in your body can cause you to have headaches early in pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Dehydration, caffeine withdrawal, impending menstruation, eye strain, or other ailments can be the source of frequent or chronic headaches.
Frequent Urination:

Around 6-8 weeks after conception, you may find yourself making a few extra trips to the bathroom.

Other Explanations: Urinary tract infection, diabetes, increasing liquid intake, or taking excessive diuretics.

Darkening of Areolas:

If you are pregnant, the skin around your nipples may get darker.

Other Explanations: Hormonal imbalance unrelated to pregnancy or may be a leftover effect from a previous pregnancy.

Food Cravings:

While you may not have a strong desire to eat pickles and ice cream, many women will feel cravings for certain foods when they are pregnant. This can last throughout your entire pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Poor diet, lack of a certain nutrient, stress, depression, or impending menstruation.

Q: what is the order of sex? like does a guy have to be hard to have sex? when a guy is hard do you have to give him a blowjob? should a blowjob happen before sex?
Usually you have foreplay - everything that builds up to sex, like making out, which can include a blowjob or not, depending on the mood at the time and what you are comfortable with. A handjob is another option, but most guys prefer the blowjob. Sometimes both people are already aroused without foreplay and go right into sex, skipping such "steps". Foreplay is to arouse both partners, and yes, so the guy can get hard in order to be able to penetrate. Oral sex can be separate from sex and doesn't have to lead up to it, necessarily.

Q: I have a really habbit of pulling my hair out
from the top and apparently im starting to get bold patches and my hair is getting really thin im tryng to stop i am but my question is will it grow back im really scared i doesnt =/?
There could be an underlying problem for this. Is it a bad habit or is it getting in the way of your life?

There is an anxiety disorder called Trichotillomania, which is characterized by the persistent and excessive pulling of one's own hair.

More info here:
http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/915057-overview

Your hair will grow out eventually; you're still young.

Q: Are there any other sites like 4shared.com on the net where you can download free books and stuff??
Any help would be greatly appreciated as 4shared doesn't have the books i'm currently after.
What books are you looking for in particular?

Q: i think thats what its called ,but whats guys opinions on girls with the trail not just completely shaved? and whats so good about it ,because my guy friends say its hot ,but i dont get there point of it .
I think there's some confusion here.Isn't the happy trail the hair that leads from the belly button down to the pubic hair? Guys usually like their girls hairless except for on their head and face and minimal hair down there as possible. I think guys think it's hot when girls trim their pubic hair to look like a landing strip, not a "bush" as they call it. So no, they probably wouldn't want the happy trail.

Q: I need to know what kind of illness zoloft cause by taking it? also will it make me gain weight? because I don't need to gain weight...lol. but I'm 15 taking zoloft and I was wondering if there is anything I should know and side effects to beware of.

please and thank you.

Deena
You can just easily Google up the side effects of Zoloft. Also, when you get the medication, there should usually be an informational pamphlet that comes along with it that tells you everything about it..

http://www.drugs.com/zoloft.html

Sometimes, antidepressants make depression a lot worse, like the person below me said. It all depends on your personal body chemistry and how you react to it. You may or may not experience all of the side effects. Be careful.

I'll copy and paste some here if you don't want your parents to find out your Internet history or something:

Zoloft side effects

Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: skin rash or hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:

very stiff (rigid) muscles, high fever, sweating, fast or uneven heartbeats, tremors, overactive reflexes;

nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, feeling unsteady, loss of coordination; or

headache, trouble concentrating, memory problems, weakness, confusion, hallucinations, fainting, seizure, shallow breathing or breathing that stops.

Less serious Zoloft side effects may include:

drowsiness, dizziness, tired feeling;

mild nausea, stomach pain, upset stomach, constipation;

dry mouth;

changes in appetite or weight;

sleep problems (insomnia); or

decreased sex drive, impotence, or difficulty having an orgasm.

This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. You may report side effects to FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088.

Q: Hi :-)

I am trying to make an advice blog but I just started and thus have absolutely no readers :-(

Anyways, does anyone know how I can get readers? Any tips on how to promote my blog for free?

Also, I read somewhere that I should add an RSS feed though I don't know what that is. Does anyone have any idea what kind of RSS feed I should add to my blog about adviced, aimed at young pre-teen, teen, and young adult females.

Your help is appreciated!
Thank you.

~
You should leave an interesting/complimentary comment on other people's blogs and sites on their comment section. Don't forget to add your blog link in the URL section. Add a link section on your blog that links to other people's blogs. Usually, people will return the favor and add you back, thus, bringing you more site traffic.

If you join any message boards, add your blog link to the signature portion so anytime you make a post in a thread, people can see it and will click on it.

There are various site directories and plugboards for people to put their links.

You can get your site reviewed:
http://www.yoursite.nu/

You can add it to StumbleUpon.

You can add your blog link to the About Me: section here on your advice column on Advicenators! too.

Tell friends and family and plug your blog wherever possible. Even Facebook or Myspace, only if you're okay with letting them know you have one.

I'm not sure about RSS feeds, though. Hopefully someone else can answer your question about those.

Q: For your information, I'm very plain. I never do anything to myself except tie my hair in a loose pony tail.

I hardly ever dress nice, or wear makeup or anything. I'm 16 years old, and I honestly feel like doing my hair, wearing makeup, wearing nice clothes and all that because I really think it'll help with my self-esteem issues. I've always noticed that I'm more confident whenever I wear makeup or do my hair, or dress nicely whenever I'm gone to a wedding or something.

My mother on the other hand absolutely doesn't want me wearing any makeup besides eyeliner, and lip gloss. She says that make up will ruin my skin, and that I'll become too accustomed to wearing it that I won't like my "real" face.

Anyways..
Do you think I should wear makeup, or should I not?
Share your personal experiences, and opinions. It'd help alot!
It's all about using the right brand of makeup, looking natural with it on, and knowing how to take care of yourself. You are not trying to look like a different person, just enhance your better features and cover up certain blemishes. You should honestly tell her about this self-esteem issue because that will help your case. If makeup makes you feel good about yourself, I don't see why you shouldn't wear it.. if you think it would help gain yourself confidence starting from the outside in. For example, you're not supposed to go to sleep with makeup on. You can keep it on during the day, but that should be it. Before bed, you should wipe your face clean with makeup remover and take care of your skin. I personally do not like using foundation, but you may find that bareminerals may work for you, which does not clog your pores as much. It's more important to have clear skin instead of putting makeup on. Try to use acne facewash daily and maybe toner and moisturizer if you need it. Have fun experimenting.

Q: hey, so i'm doing some research on small bands. the kind of music im looking for are indie, rock, punk, kinda bands. The only necessity is they need to be young/ high school age. im writing about breaking into the music industry. what i need are a list of any and every band that are producing their own origanl music. whether its on youtube, myspace, etc. i'd like to either get in contact with them or be able to see their work. it's suprisingly hard to find small, unheard bands. i don't want bands like all time low, because as much as you might like them, they are famous. so basically and bands, even if its your bands, or your friends. that would help me SO much, so yeah, thanks
