one of my abercrombie skirts keep shrinking,and when I mean shrinking i mean getting shorter. The skirt isnt hemmed at the bottom. Any suggestions on washing it?

Wash it in cold water (set your washing machine to "cold, cold") and don't put it in the dryer, let it air dry. The heat is what causes it to shrink. Good luck!

Ok so my hair is long...when I say long i mean like past my hips long and I'm 5'4"! Anyway my mom doesn't want me cut it but I don't want to cut it all off...I jus want about 5 inches off! I told her and she keeps saying when i get older blah blah blah. If it was for my family i'd keep it but sometimes I can't wash it in the evenin cause i hate to blowdry and then sometimes i get up late and it takes about 20 mins to comb it neat to go to school. And also because alot of kids tell me " you always have your hair like that...it m ust keep tired"! And I'm sick of it..I jus want it a few inches shorter!!!

Please help me to get a way for her to get me to cut my hair and I don't want her to know kids truble me because then she'll make me move to a nex school n i relly like this one!!!!

All I can think of is Locks of Love. It's a charity that makes wigs for kids that need them. They take donations of real hair. I think that most haircutting businesses will do it for you so you don't have to go to one of the events. If you showed a really big interest in this your mom might let you do it. The only thing is that you need to donate at least 10 inches. It'll probably all grow back in a year or so, so it really isn't all that much. It means he turns you on. You are most likely quite physically attracted to him. Most of a time this feeling is associated with a crush. Remember that a relationship should not be based just on that fuzzy feeling. You can get that feeling from your boyfriend too, so don't break up with him just because you have a crush on someone else. There will always be other guys that you are attracted to, but if you jump at the chance to be with every one of them, your love life will be very unstable. You will get over this crush in time. There's nothing to worry about. If you're going to break up with your boyfriend do it because something in your relationship isn't right. For example, break up with him because you don't see him that much instead of because you have an attraction to another guy. Good luck!

Ok. I have REALLY straight hair. How can I get like curls, (preferably like bigger curls to make my hair just look wavy).

Preferably people who have the same type of hair, but I'm willing to hear any ideas at this point.

There are certain hair curlers that you could get your hair permed with that will just make it wavy. I used to get my hair permed all the time, it's not that bad and it lasts for a long time. I got it done for 4 or 5 years, and now my hair is naturally wavy. You probably wouldn't even have to do it for that long to get those results. If that's not something you're into I'm sure that other people will give you other ideas. Good luck! :)

Would you ever meet someone in person off of myspace? I know most of you are going to say no but what if it's a friend of a friend?

Yes I definitely would. Even if it wasn't a friend of a friend. I would make sure that someone went with me (preferably a big, strong guy lol) and that it was in a public place of course. I wouldn't put myself in a situation where I could potentially be hurt until I thoroughly knew the person. People meet other people all the time in all kinds of situations. Why do so many people consider everyone that's online to be a sexual predator? Yes, they tend to use the internet, but you, and I, and a lot of our friends are on the internet too and none of us are sexual predators. Most people are just normal people and just as long as you protect yourself against something bad happening, there's no reason to let something like the internet keep you from meeting someone that could become a very good friend of yours someday. The friend of a friend thing helps a lot too. It gives them some credability. Good luck! :)

Hey my hands go bright red in the warmth or cold and sometimes go purple.
My dad says that it is due to poor circulation and its nothing to worry about but i find it annoying because people are like 'why are your hands bright red?', even friend's parents.
Nobody else i know has this problem and its really irritating as it never happened before this year's winter. If I hold my hands above my hea for a few seconds and wiggle my fingers around they go back to a normal colour but as soon as i put them down again they flood red again.

I am really self conscious as it is and this is adding to my problems so does anyone know how to stimulate the circulation with massages or stop them going red?

When people say things about your hands being red or purple, they are being very rude. The answer is very obvious and they are blurting out things without thinking about how it will affect you. Give it right back to them. Be sarcastic. When someone asks you why your hands are so red ask them why theirs aren't. There's tons of different things you can say. "Why do you THINK?", "I just slayed a wild boar, that's why", "oh you caught me red-handed, do you want a cookie?", "I have bad circulation DUH, why else?" or anything like that will, depending on what you choose to say, add some humor to the situation, make you feel better, and make the other person feel dumb for being so rude to you. Seriously, this is the best way to handle this situation. The problem isn't you, it's them! When I was younger I had pretty bad acne and people would always ask me "what's wrong with your FACE?". It made me feel so embarased and I never knew what to say because the answer was so obvious. Why did they have to put me on the spot like that and shout out my flaws to the world? It's because they don't realize they're doing it. If you are sarcastic back to them they'll get the point and leave you alone. You will feel sooo much better. Try it, it helps a lot. Good luck!

We have different views on religion, and kids and hes younger, so we're really not on the same maturity level. Mom read some of our conversations and shes like Britt he's crazy. You need out of this. I don't think he's necessarily crazy. It sounds to me like he's just searching for attention. He pushes buttons and pokes and prods searching for a certain kind of reaction. I seriously doubt he realy wants you to get a historectomy, he likely just wanted to see your reaction. I know people like this "reaction seekers" I call them. They pretend they're mad or they'll say crazy things because it makes them feel power over other people to be able to make them react in a certain way. He only threatened to commit suicide after he decided that you were trying to leave him and it seems he used it as a scare tactic so you wouldn't break up with him. He seems like a very manipulative person that is very confused about life. That makes him the type of guy you would not want to have a relationship with so I think that it would be a good choice to break up with him.

i have these white ring/circles on the bottom of my feet. theyre small and theyre juss white, not gross & they dont hurt. it seems like they are open sort've, not bloody er anything, its juss white skin inside of it?? i cant really explain it. its kind've hard if you touch it. you could feel that its there. there's a base to it. does anyone know what that is?? im curious, because ive had em for awhile.

I think I know what you're talking about and if I do, I get those on my hands sometimes. It's probably just dry skin. Lotion is your best bet for getting rid of them. Good luck!

Is there anywhere to find cheap & cute prom dresses? The prom is this weekend & I really need to find a dress quick!

If you're looking for cheap, try the salvation army. They have practically everything and it's not junk. A lot of it hasn't even ever been worn before. Any second hand store or outlet store that has dresses will have cheap dresses. You're probably not going to be able to get anything for cheap at a regular store unless it's already on sale. The dresses will go on sale after prom, so maybe some of the stores think that prom is already over or will have a last minute sale. I doubt that though. You're in a bit of trouble though for waiting so long. I hope that you find something. Good luck!

Don't cheat on your boyfriend! What's going to happen when the boy that is visiting leaves? He's not going to be around for very long and the only thing that cheating with him would do would be to screw up the relationship that you have. If you want to break up with your boyfriend do it, you don't have to cheat. Breaking up with your boyfriend for this boy that's visiting is probably a very poor choice. There's not much of a chance that you'll have it as good with him as you do with your current boyfriend because of distance issues. It's okay to see him and go out together somewhere as friends, but don't cheat! If you feel something when you hang out with him and he starts talking to you more and showing that he likes you maybe it's worth the risk. Just don't do it ahead of time. Do it after. i am a 15 year old girl. just last year my friend told me about this guy her cousin introduced her too, she told me we would like each other and gave me his e-mail address. we ended up going out but he doesn't live in my town so i never see him or talk to him on the phone. after about 2 weeks he told me he couldn't talk that much more because he had joined alot of sports teams and he is swamped with homework. than we ended up having and off again on again off again on again relationship, and everytime we talked online we didn't know if we were still going out and we would always ask each other. just today i finally saw him and he made a fit because i said i was getting attached to him, he said he didn't want me to get hurt since we hardly talk or see each other, than he went on about how i could date other people if i wanted but i said i didn't want to and than he got really mad at me. this might sound stupid, but before he would always tell me how much he loved me and he didn't even wait for me to say bye when he had to get off today. and i don't think his schedual is too packed for him to talk to me for even just five minutes a day, but he is hardly on.

I'm sorry to say this, but you need to end the relationship. He'd do it himself, but it seems that he's too chicken to do it. I'm sorry that you got attached to him. It doesn't seem like he feels anything for you anymore or he'd make much more of an effort to get closer to you and keep the relationship going strong. He's not necessarily cheating on you, he just doesn't feel anything anymore. Don't get your hopes up too high, but breaking up with him could help get your relationship back together. If he really cares about you he'll make an effort to get you back. If not, even though you care about him, it's better that you're not together. The relationship isn't going anywhere and you'll be much happier once you get over him. Good luck.

If I run on my treadmill which of my muscle groups am I working out, on what part of my body?

Running is a full body workout. That means that you're working pretty much everything. Upper body, lower body, abs...running is the best workout there is for this reason. You're not going to get very built from running (that's what weight lifting is for), but your muscles will get a very good workout. Since you're running on a treadmill, make sure that you're not just holding onto the handles. Set them so they move so you're working your arms too. If you can't put them on that setting, you don't have to hold on. Let your arms move freely, just be careful doing that. Good luck!

Ok, I just wanted to ask, ok, my family has like, 5 cats, and 1 of them has gone missing! I am worried sick, and my Mom misses him 2 death, (he was her favorite) and we have NO idea where he is! We miss him so, and are just wondering, where do you think he is? Do you think he's ok? Should I worry? Heres some info:

He is not fixed
Has not run away for longer then a few hours
Is an indoor cat
Parents dissapeared also but came back
HAs been gone for 3 days

Where is he? Please give me some suggestions on finding him!

Ask neighbors, maybe put an ad in the paper. He wouldn't have gone too far and if someone's been feeding him, he may stay around them. That's why going door to door asking neighbors is important. They may have thought he was a stray and are being kind. I wouldn't worry just yet. A few years ago, my mom's cat was gone for a whole week and she came back on her own, very hungry and very thin, but also very alive. She lived for years after that. After a week, and no replies from neighbors, I'd say he's not going to come back. You can look on the roadside or just let it be. A lot of the time, when a cat gets hurt or knows it's going to die, it will find a hiding place and die there. You probably aren't going to be able to find him. I hope that he comes home soon and I wish you the best of luck.

alright well my sister is sleeping over my grandmas tonight. except she is too scared to sleep in a bedroom alone and the only person she trusts to sleep with her is me. but, i`ve already made plans to sleep over my best friends house and i can't cancel my plans. now my sister is crying because she wants me to sleep over my grandmas with her, but seriously this is vacation and the last thing i want to do is spend a night with my grandma while forced to sleep in the same bed as my 8 year old pain in the ass sister. and i can't cancel my plans. but my mom (as always) is taking my sisters side and saying i have to make her happy. but i always have to give in to my sister. it can never be a compromise! NEVER its her way or the high way. if i say no to her, she'll either cry until the cows come home or hit me in the head with a shoe. what can i do so that i don't have to sleepover my grandmas and can sleep over my friends instead? i rate 5's

Your mom needs to help your sister grow up. Tell her that. Your sister is being babied and she needs to learn sometime. It would be very good for your sister to be without you. Right now, your mom is being just as irrational as your sister. Tell the both of them that you are NOT going no matter what. After you tell your sister that, give her something she can sleep with to remind her of you. A stuffed animal, a picture, a toy, a sweater of yours, a bunch of stuff, whatever you think will work best. She'll cry, but what you give her will help and she'll just have to deal with it like she should have already learned how to do by now. Good luck!

okay i am the one that asked about shrinking that hoodie.. okay so if i were to just soak my hoodie in like warm water and then go over to my neighbors house and then put it in the dryer, would it work and what should be the temp of the drying in order for it to shrink?! thanks ill rate 5's if you helpedd

There's no guarantee that something will shrink. It may have been pre-shrunk or made out of material that doesn't shrink. That said, what you should do is set your washing machine to "hot, hot". Then, after it's done washing, put it in the dryer. If the dryer has temperature settings use the hottest one. Keep an eye on it, meaning, open the dryer and feel it and look at it every ten minutes or so. You don't want it to burn or shrink too much. From your question I gathered that you don't have a dryer, but I'm not sure if you have a washing machine (I didn't see your question from before). If you don't have a washing machine, then soaking it in hot (not warm) water will work instead of using the machine. Make sure the material is hot and make sure it stays hot. Put it under the faucet or something. It would be best if it were still hot when you put it in the dryer. There isn't a set temperature and you can probably figure out what's hot and what's not. If it doesn't work that much, do the whole process twice in a row and you may see better results. Good luck.

on myspace to get the page to be private do you have to set your age to 14 or younger or is there another way to get it completely private?

If you want your profile to be more private don't use myspace. It's as simple as that. The point of myspace isn't for everyone to have private profiles. You're supposed to be able to browse through and meet new people and all that. So the answer is YOU CAN'T. If you want to have a page on the internet that is more private try using a different site, such as facebook. Myspace isn't for you. Plus, what is the point of a private profile? I've never understood this. You sound smart enough to not put your screenname, telephone number, address, risque pictures, or any other potentially dangerous material on your site. A private profile protects you against nothing. People can still send you messages and add you as a friend. Who cares if someone you don't know looks at your page? It causes no harm unless...they have bad intentions AND they contact you AND you reply back AND give them too much information. All of which can still happen with a private profile AND all of which is very unlikely and at least some of which is completely under your control. If you don't let it happen, it won't. Either leave your myspace page as is with the correct age, or cancel your account. If you don't like the system, don't try to cheat it into being something you do like. i randomly scratch my forehead and recently saw that i have strange scars. must be from acne, i thought.

can i get rid of acne scars?

It's probably dry skin more than it is acne. See a dermatologist (skin doctor). They should be able to tell you what the problem is and give you something really good to help fix it. Pretty much all you'll have to do is answer questions. There's little to no poking and prodding so no worries about that. Good luck!

i have always had really good skin, but now my face is really bumpy. since i have never had an issue i don't know what to do. i do not have pimples or zits, not really that many red heads, but my face is very bumpy, it's the worst on my nose.

i don't know what to do except wash my face and that is doing nothin, does toner or other facial products work for this? what should i do? any home remedies?

That happened to me when I was in my teens and it ended up being the result of dry skin. Try using a "expensive" lotion for sensitive skin and it may help. By "expensive" I mean a good quality lotion, thus it'll probably be a little more expensive than just any lotion. If you're prone to acne, that probably isn't the best of ideas, so see if you can find a moisturizing acne cleanser. Good luck!

I'm going to be getting my braces off soon and I was wonder which one should I do first, should I get a cleaning first or get my teeth bleached? How much does a cleaning and teeth bleaching cost? What do they do when I get a cleaning and bleaching?

You should be getting your teeth cleaned at least once a year anyways. Preferably twice. Your dental hygenist will probably pick at your teeth to chip away plaque, clean your teeth, and most likely give you a fluoride treatment. Cost depends on your dentist, but I think it's usually about a hundred dollars. Normally all of it is covered by insurance. Bleaching is something completely different. You'll get retainers and a bleach gel. It takes about two weeks and you'll wear the gel in the retainers for a certain amount of time each day. It is a very advanced, very quick, and very good teeth whitener but it's VERY expensive. If you want to get your teeth whitened I'd suggest just buying something at the store.
