Ok. I have REALLY straight hair. How can I get like curls, (preferably like bigger curls to make my hair just look wavy).
Preferably people who have the same type of hair, but I'm willing to hear any ideas at this point.

Apply a good leave-in conditioner and/or if appropriate, a defrisant product. Detangle with a wide toothed comb or a pick. Use a good curl defining styling gel and smooth it through your hair 1/2 inch from your roots to your ends. Blow dry hair with a long finger diffuser to lift and separate curls. When hair is completely dry start at one side of your head and work on two inch sections of hair at a time.
Use a Curling Iron on each individual section of hair at a time. Shape curls into spirals with the iron as you work from strand to strand.
Remember that the larger the barrel of the curling or spiral iron, the bigger the curls. For small curls select a 3/4 to 1" barrel. For larger curls select up to 1 1/2" barrel.
Be sure to keep each strand wrapped around the iron for a few minutes. Adjust the time according to your hair texture and needs. For some people they will only need to use the iron for a few seconds. Thicker hair may require up to a few minutes.
After you remove each curl from the iron, let it completely cool before touching it. Do not brush or touch the newly created curls. When you have finished curling your entire head, spray with a good spray. If any of the curls are not as tight as you would like, use the curling iron to spot curl.

LadyGoodman answered Wednesday April 19 2006, 12:44 am: Whenever my friend curls my hair (since I don't do it enough to know how to do it myself) she puts a lot of gel and hair spray on the section she is about to curl and then puts the roller in. It takes forever but it also makes it stay...which is somewhat of a miracle for how heavy and thick and straight my hair is. To get it to be just wavy...maybe you could do that with a little less gel and hair spray and leave the roller in for not as long... [ LadyGoodman's advice column | Ask LadyGoodman A Question ]
sizzlinmandolin answered Wednesday April 19 2006, 12:22 am: There are certain hair curlers that you could get your hair permed with that will just make it wavy. I used to get my hair permed all the time, it's not that bad and it lasts for a long time. I got it done for 4 or 5 years, and now my hair is naturally wavy. You probably wouldn't even have to do it for that long to get those results. If that's not something you're into I'm sure that other people will give you other ideas. Good luck! :) [ sizzlinmandolin's advice column | Ask sizzlinmandolin A Question ]
MyHappyShoe answered Tuesday April 18 2006, 11:30 pm: If your hair is anything like mine then I know how hard it is for yours to curl. My hair is so straight that when I curl it it's pin straight in less than an hour. What I do to keep it curly (or wavy) is I take a large barrel curling iron and hairspray my hair before I curl it. Then, I curl it and while it's wrapped around the iron I spray it again. After that, I unravel it and spray it again. It will be curly at first but if you wait around 5 min. it will become wavy. When it becomes wavy spray it again! [ MyHappyShoe's advice column | Ask MyHappyShoe A Question ]
