I'm going to be getting my braces off soon and I was wonder which one should I do first, should I get a cleaning first or get my teeth bleached? How much does a cleaning and teeth bleaching cost? What do they do when I get a cleaning and bleaching?

Your dental hygenist will probably pick at your teeth to chip away plaque, clean your teeth, and most likely give you a fluoride treatment. Cost depends on your dentist, but I think it's usually about a hundred dollars. Normally all of it is covered by insurance. Bleaching is something completely different. You'll get retainers and a bleach gel. It takes about two weeks and you'll wear the gel in the retainers for a certain amount of time each day. It is a very advanced, very quick, and very good teeth whitener but it's VERY expensive. If you want to get your teeth whitened I'd suggest just buying something at the store. Good luck and congrats about getting your braces off! [ sizzlinmandolin's advice column | Ask sizzlinmandolin A Question ]
