how can i become a faster runner with in 1 month?!?! im kinda lazy but i really wanna run so i will put my mind to it and get up every mornigna t 2 if thats wut it takes but please help
Just start running! Run 1/2 of a mile or a so to start out, time yourself, and as each day goes, see if that 1/2 mile gets faster. If you become faster, then go up to 1 mile, and so on. Don't start out too drastic, like forcing yourself to run 4 miles a day, that won't do anything. You have to build your leg muscles up so they're ready for it.

14/F. I have to get orthodonic braces in a few weeks and I have a few questions about them. I will rate. Do they hurt? What will happen if I chew gum with them? What color bands would look good with brown hair and brown eyes? Thanks.
I'm not gonna lie, they do hurt. Your mouth will be really sore for a couple of days because they're adjusting. On tightening days it will hurt too. And when you get them off they hurt too, cuz your teeth don't have this stuff all around them and yea. There isn't really enough pain to stop someone from doing it though.. Oh and usually nothing will happen if you chew gum, they just don't recommend it because it could loosen or damage wires, but that never happened to me and I chewed gum the whole time I had them. Any colors would look good, don't go with your hair color and eyes. Go with what you like, I had pink, purple, and green a lot.

I know I'm in love but I don't know if my parents will except it they think we should be 15 before we date but I don't want to wait til I'm 15 to date the guy I love cuz I don't want him to go out with any one else before the 9th grade in June...What should I do obey my parents or do what's right?

Obeying your parents is what's right. I know you really like this guy, but you seriously just have to wait. Don't sneak around, and don't lie. Wait until that year, you can handle it. People this young shouldn't be going around saying 'they're in love' anyway.

i get horrible cramps right before and during my period. what can i do to make them not hurt so much. i have had to stay home from school like every 2 months when it comes.
Put a heating pad on it, or get those kinds that you can stick on your underwear. They work, seriously. I get horrible cramps too so trust me. Also, drink hot chocolate. Any kind works, but mint works the best. Exercise actually does help, like walking, although it wouldn't seem like it. Taking some kind of cramp medicine, like Midol, might work, but I haven't tried it before. I'm sorry those are really all the tips I know of.

I have been friends with this guy since the end of October.. We talk a lot, and at first I didn't like him "that way" but every day I begin to like him more and more. He has told people that he doesn't know who he likes, or he likes 3 people and I'm at the top of the list. My friend told him that I like him (with my permission) and he sort of just blushed and wouldn't answer any of her questions. If I am at the top of his list, and he knows I like him, why doesn't he just ask me out? What should I say to him? Or should I just wait patiently for him to make a move? Thanks
He might be extremely shy, guys are allowed to be scared of girls. You can ask him about it if you want, or you can wait for him. It's really how you feel, are you shy too? Then maybe you want to wait. But if you aren't, I'd do something because he might be too shy to do anything. I can't really tell you what to do though, sorry, it's just what kind of person you are and if you go for things or wait for them to happen. Good luck!

Talk to him. It's that easy. You'll feel better getting it all out of your system, and you'll finally know what he's thinking. If he says he likes you just as a friend, then there was no harm. Or, he might say he likes you too and then the rest is history. Just consider that there is a possibility that after you say it and he's not into you, things could become awkward. Decide if it's important to keep this original kind of friendship or not.

You can't lie to them, you know that. You have got to tell them before they find out on their own, because then it'll be worse. Just calmly say that you lied because you liked him so much and didn't know how they'd react. Who knows what will happen; they might be okay with it, they might be so mad that you aren't allowed to see him anymore.. But you'll feel so much better after telling them.
And by the way, 15 and 18 isn't that big a deal to me. Just think how far apart in age they are (well if they're close this won't work, but if they are then you can bring it up). If you point that out, they might understand more and be a little nicer.

umm after im finished playin basketball or volleyball, im usually sweating a lot. my face also is very red after practice. is there any way that i can keep my face from being so red? o ya and im 13/f.
You can't really do anything, everyone's face gets red after they work out hard. All you can do is drink a lot of water and try to stay cool, and that's about it. Unless you don't work as hard while playing those sports, but why bother doing that? It goes away after a while, so just deal with it.

I'm 14 and this guy i'm good friends with it 15, of course he is your average, out of control teenage guy. All we ever talk about is sex and everything, even school related subjects seem to trace back to it. He's already told me that he wants the first time to be with me BUT he's got a girlfriend. I have asked him if he talks about this with her and he always says no that he doesn't want to scare her away, yet it is okay to talk about it with me??? I don't know if he's mixed up and doesn't know what he wants or what, but really, is that normal to be serious about doing it with your friend and talking about it while you have a girlfriend that you refuse to let go of?
Um, no that's not normal. Something's wrong with this kid. Either he's just going to use you to get some because his girlfriend won't do it, or he is truly just confused. I just don't understand what he could be confused about.. but try to steer clear of that subject from now on, and DO NOT have sex with him. It'll just make things messed up.

I used to be really shy around guys too. A few days ago though I told this guy I liked him, and we started going out. You seriously have to try to get over your shyness, you'll miss so much if you can't talk to guys you like. But to answer your question, sorry I just wanted to tell you, anything is possible. He might like you, or he might just wonder why you're looking in his direction all the time. And YES, you should strike up a conversation. Just talk about anything!! Ask him questions about him, that aren't just those yes or no answerable ones. Find things you have in common with him (the guy I mentioned before and I both play the piano, so we can talk about that a lot) and talk about that thing so you have something to say. Make him want to get to know you more and there is no doubt he'll like you.

My parent's are like, sexist. They won't let me hang out with boys. They think that I'm just going to go out and have sex with every boy I see. I tell them that all we're gonna do it hang out (which is true) but then they have to make up the excuss, "Honey we trust you, not the boys." Soo, what can I do to make them trust me?
Try to show that you're mature and responsible. I don't really know how.. you just have to somehow. Whatever you do don't go behind their backs and hang out with the guys, that'll be ten times worse. Parents will figure out their teens are growing up and will eventually get over it. Until then respect their wishes.

2day my family and i(14) found out that my older sister (27) has a tumour down there, and is supposed to be haveing surgery in a week. after that they will be putting her on keimotherapy(sp?) and well if none of those cure her, she will then only have 1 more year to live..im so scared of loosing her!
Don't think of the worst, you HAVE to stay positive. Just let her know she can get through this and she'll be fine. If something goes wrong, do everything you can in that year to be with her. But if it was spotted early there's a very good chance she'll be cured, you just have to have faith.

You can't do anything, he has a girlfriend. Well you can start developing a friendship with him, that'd probably be best. When you see him in the halls stop and talk to him for a minute, get his screen name, his number, whatever. Try to get over him, you're just going to beat yourself up every day if you don't, unless he starts liking you.

im 14/f...and the hair that i have above my upper lip has gotten really dark and noticeable...its embarassing...my mom says not to shave it, im scared to get it waxed, it hurts when you pluck it, and well is there anything else?!
You can bleach it so the hair isn't as noticable.. But I really don't know anything else you can do. You either have to get it waxed or get one of those electric things that's sensitive enough to shave it.

How do you know he likes you if he likes his past love still? I'd wait and see what he does. Either he'll ask you out, try to get the other girl back, or find a new girl. You could talk to him, but don't push him to like you if that makes sense.

Hello, I'm 16 years old and I'm female. Let me start off by saying I hate the phrase "Let's just be friends." My best friend is one of those types of people who's actions very easily deceive you. I love him so much, and it hurts so bad. We hold hands, hug all the time, even say "I love you". But he says that to everyone. It's so hard because I'm confusing platonic love with "real" love. I take his gestures seriously though, and I really do love him. I want to tell him how I feel, but I don't want to ruin our friendship. He likes someone else, but he is currently single. I think you shouldn't bother trying. You're taking his actions and thinking they're probably something they're not, and it's just going to hurt you when you talk to him and he says the let's be friends thing. Leave him behind and find a guy that won't play tricks on you.
