Hey Everyone :) I'm Kate and a level 2 mod on here. I've had this account since July 2004, so I've been on here since I was 13! Wow ... crazy for me to think how long ago that was. I will admit I don't check in as often as I once did, but being away at college, being in a sorority, and having a job when I'm not at school is very time consuming. I still try to help out as much as possible, and if you send me a question I WILL answer it. Kisses just happen naturally, though before going with someone you like eat a breath mint, and don't have too much lip gloss because then lips might slide and stuff.
But it does really happen naturally, once you start kissing, just follow the guys lead. If you want tips, then spell stuff in his mouth using your tongue. Like gently spell out his name or something. Once you start you'll get the hang of it. If you aren't embarassed tell the guy he'll be your first kiss, I told the guy who gave me my first kiss that it was my first kiss (I was also in 5th grade) I also told my first real kiss (I was 13) that it was my first real kiss and that I hadn't kissed anyone in a long time and i wasn't too sure what I was doing. He was understanding enough.

I really am uncomfortable about my weight. I'm only about 106 pounds but im really short. All i can think about is what i'm eating and what i look good in. I don't think im anorexic, but i just want to stop over obsessing about eating but i don't know what to do. I just want to stop.

Anorexia isn't just thinking you're fat!!!!! I was anorexic, I had a lot of shit going on that caused it.
Anorexia is thinking your fat, and takin action. It's a complete MENTAL disease, and I know right now you don't have it.
No matter how many times you look in the mirror, whether your a stick or not, you see a big fat person looking back at you. The disease has in so many words taken over your mind. No matter how many people tell you you're skinny, no matter how many jean sizes you go down, no matter what weight the scale says, when you look in the mirror all you see is fat, whether you are or are not fat.
Looking back on pictures taken when I played soccer, and when I look at back at picture from Christmas time, I look at little skin, lots of bone. I hadn't looked at any pictures of me as an anorexic person since I started eating again until the teacher whom I most dislike, at the end of the year she got all of our school pictures together, and printed them up and gave them to each of us, as I looked at them I saw my 6th grade photo of an anorexic me, and I really hated it, that was when I was the worst, I was in 6th grade and down to like 50 or 60 pounds. It was most noticable then too. You don't have anorexia, and you need to get the fact through your head that you're a girl, you're going to think your fat no matter what, so no offense, but get over it. You're 106 pounds, I bet a lot of girls wished they were 106 pounds. And you know what, if you're old enough to be using this website, then no matter how short you are, 106lbs is fine. Look in the mirror, tell your self you're fine, because if you don't come back to reality sometime soon you'll find yourself in the hospital so weak from hungar that people have to use tubes to feed you so you don't die!
Or if it doesn't go that far, I'm sure your parents love you enough to make you go see a "shrink" as much as that helps, it's not fun when they medicate you telling you that medicine will help solve your anorexia. Because it sure as hell doesn't.
Sorry, I'm taking this out on you, but I find it sooooo annoying when all these girls say "Ooooh I'm 100lbs, I think I'm fat, I obsess over food, maybe anorexia is the way for me."
I know thats not how you asked it, and I know that I don't have to answer it, but seeing that what better advice can you get about an eating problem, then from someone who has gone through one.

Anyway, stop complaining about your weight, no matter what as long as you eat right you'll be fine. And is obsessing over your weight really a way to live? Yeah, I didn't think so.
Sorry if I come across like a wiotch. But it's too early in the morning, stupid garbage trucks waking me up at 9!! I had nothing better to do so I came online. It has one of those BMI calculators, just go there, it'll let you know if you're overweight, and it'll let you know how to lose weight if you are overweight.

Not to my knowledge. It's arranged by when they were last updated (if you didn't know) and to my knowledge, you can't change it. But if you're still curious, then I say ask Advicenator_Admin, either suggest it, or just ask if it's possible.

When her hymen breaks. This can happen multiple ways. But the hymen is a piece of skin in the vagina. It can break through sexual intercourse, it can break during horseback riding, it can even break riding a bike.
But when it's used in the way you are saying, it means he "devirginated" her. She was a virgin, they had sex, he was the guy that popped her cherry. Or it could just mean they had sex. But usually when people talk about popping cherrys it means the girl had sex, or the guy had sex with the girl.

You might really not want to answer this question and i can understand completely if you don't but i thought id give it a try....I read in some of your previous advice that you were anorexic earlier and i am sort of in that position right now. I'm pretty sure i have a thyroid problem becuase it runs in my family, like every woman has it, but were not sure yet so i am overweight. I run in the mornings and play sports but im still not happy so sometimes i dont eat for like a week at a time, then i eat, then i dont, and so on. so i guess what im asking is were you in a similar position as me. i know i need to get help but all i need from you is a little ive been there kinda thing. thanks

Yeah I've been there. I played sports, mainly soccer and softball, so even though I excercised a lot, I still felt really uncomfortable with weight and stuff. I mean during soccer, I ran throughout the whole game, plus during practices all we did was run, and stretch, I mean talk about a better way to excercise. Then during softball of course there were running excercises, there was running during the game, we stretched our legs and arms, I played second base, and every once in a while if nobody was really playing their position behind me I got stuck running for the ball, and still I excercised, I played the sports, and I was really uncomfortable with my weight. I got down to maybe 50lbs before I realized what I was doing to myself, of course I think the psychiatrist helped too. But if you do end up getting help make sure you're comfortable with whoever it is giving you the help, because one of my "shrinks" was really creepy and I didn't like him one bit so I wouldn't go near him unless my mom was with me, the other one I liked a lot, she was really nice to me and she had kid stuff in there, and she wouldn't make me talk unless I wanted to (I was shy when I was younger).
But yeah, if you ever need to talk I'm here, because like I said, been there don't that, got over it, and I know I'm not the skinniest person now, and I don't care anymore, I've learned to live. But if you do start up with anorexia your metabolism will slow down and you'll end up gaining more weight rather than losing any at all. So just a thought to think about. I'm 13 years old and I got pregnant. My friends think I'm ready to be a parent, but I haven't told my parents about it yet because they will scold me. Should I go for abortion? WIll it hurt? You need to talk to your parents, they would be the most helpful. I'm personally agaist abortion, it's murder, and this child doesn't deserve to die because of a stupid mistake you made. You should go to a planned parenthood, or talk to your parents and see what they think. I also think your friends are complete idiots, even when I was 13 I wasn't stupid enough to believe I could raise a child. Do you have a salary? 'Cause you know, diapers, and food, and clothing, and all that cost money. So then you do have a steady job, at the age of 13, well then someone needs to come do something with your boss because he's breaking the child labor laws. And you have a place to live, your parents will let you raise a baby in their house right? There's room enough for it? And at the age of 13 you can really put up with all that crying? All the stress? I know in my first few months of high school I was 13, but I could barely handle the stress of a teenagers life let alone raise a child!! Now if you think somehow you have money, shelter, food, supplies, and brains enough to raise a child, far be it from me to stop you. But you hate babies, so why the heck would you?!
Even if you have the child you won't have to drop out, you wait until you start showing to stop going to school, then you get homeschooled for the remainder of the time.
Anyway, I always decided that if I make the mistake of getting pregnant, then I will not make the mistake of murdering a helpless child. I always chose that even if I were to be raped and got pregnant, I'd put it up for adoption, because even though I would love to have a child, I know at about 15yrs old I couldn't raise one, I don't have a job, besides there are 2 other factors with that... everytime I would look into that childs eyes I'd remember what happened and even though something horrid like that happened the child doesn't deserve death, plus my mom already told me I'd either put it up for adoption, or I would have to leave.

If you really don't want a baby, then have it, and put it up for adoption. But I hope you realize that pregnancy is a hard thing to go through, and also same with the birthing process. You'd probably have to get a ceserian section (C-Section) where they cut you open, because your vaginal hole won't be big enough for a child to get through, you've obviously hitten puburty, but not enough to go through birth. A lot of mothers who are older than you, anywhere from 16+ have had complications with birth, some have even died afterwords because of all the stress and the pushing and all that. It would be easier on you though if you got a C-Section.
But PLEASE don't abort it, that's sickening, it's murder, and when you're older you'll feel super guilty about it. If other people find out, rumors will spread, and people will look at you with majaor disgust. Now if you were one of my friends and you had an abortion, I would probably find it in my heart to forgive you, mainly because it would have to have been really hard on you to make that choice, but I still think it's the worst choice to make.

But all in all it's your choice to make, please, make a smart, wiiiiise choice!!!

ok, i have a dell computer((it is like 6 months old)) and yesterday i had to turn it off from the button on the modem cause it was frozen up and wouldnt even restart from the ctrl.alt.delete thingie. and then today i turned on my comp and everything is all big. the icons, start bar, windows and everythign. i have tried to fix it from the control pannel but it wont work...waht do i do??

Well mine is e-machines, and I actually asked a question similar to this, not exactly, because with mine it was the colors and font that messed up, but that has happened to our old computer. We ended up getting a new one, but in my questions yesterday, I recieved this answer K3587 answered Monday July 11 2005, 7:26 pm:
My e-machines did this as well. Go to your Control Panel, then Display, then click on the Settings tab. Try changing your color to 16 or 24 bit, and restart.

I'm not sure how to solve your problem on XP, the way I solved it on ME. I completely restored my system.ini file, but it's not the same as the XP version is, I'm sure. My advice is to find someone else with XP, copy-paste everything in their system.ini file on their computer, e-mail it to yourself, then copy-paste what they have into your system.ini. Make sure you back yours up before you try this!

What he suggests may be able to help you too. If not, then I suggest sending K' something to his inbox, I'm not sure if he's good with computers, or just his, but it's worth a shot!

Also another answer I got was from this girl, I probably would've tried hers but I knew K' so I tried his first... her answer might be good for you too...

Sure, no problem. Ok, click ont he start menu and there should be something that says "Help and Support". When the screen comes up, under Pick a Task, there should be something that says "Undo changes to your computer with System Restore" Click on that and another screen should come up. Unless you personally know the admin, then you will never be a level 3 mod. Right now I'm a level 2. Level one's can participate the mod discussion and they rate questions, when 5 questions recieve frowny faces by the L1's, then they're deleted. Level 2's can participate in the mod discussion, and the admin discussion. They can approve new questions, they can rate questions, they can ban people for up to 5 days, they help with the abuse reports, and if they wanted to, they could look to see who is asking the questions. Level 3 mods, as far as I know, can do exactly as the level 2's, but can ban people forever, and they pretty much help Advicnatorse_Admin run the site.

ok.. i have this vball camp! i hate it!! seriously! i wanna quit.. but i can't tell my mom because i am scared! ahh! she payed 135 bucks! help

Well it depends, how old are you? Do you have a job? Maybe you can quit camp and pay her back? If not, then you'll have to stick it through. Or why do you hate it? Are you no longer into the sport, are people being really mean to you, is there something really bad about it? If so, tell your mom what it is that is bothering you and see if she'll let you quit. But if it's just because it's no fun, or something somewhat important to you, but not worth wasting the $135, then try and stick it out. How long will camp be? If it's not too long then try, if it's just a day camp, then whats the worst that will come out of going. Now if it was like a month long and it's not worth the money and you can't get your money back, see if you can explain to your mom why you want to quit and that you'll try and pay her back the best you can as fast as you can. Try and get yourself some babysitting jobs around where you live so you can earn money to pay her back with. I don't doubt your mom will be mad. I was on a soccer team back in 7th grade, it cost my mom about $100, and nobody was any good, maybe only 3 or 4 of us, out of the only 3 games I went to, we won one, lost one, and tied one, but the only reason we won one was because the other teams goalie and best player hurt his leg and had to sit out, and noone else on the team was good at being a goaly. Anyway, I have a point, I quit the team, never showed up to another practice or game because it wasn't fun for me. My mom was mad at me for quitting but she got over it. Your mom will get over it too, just explain it to her as best you can and see what she says.
Anyway, remember winners never quit. I do regret quitting because I missed out on making good friends and helping others learn to play better, but unless other people are harassing you, or it's way too bad and you NEED to quit, try and stick it through. Sorry for repeating myself, but I don't think you should quit unless it's really bad. Just explain the situation, offer to pay her back as you get money, and ummm, thats all I got :-). What do i do when i have an abuse of mother, who has mode swings, and is VERY abuse of somtime, its starting to be more abuseive than not, i am scared to tell anyone cause i know that it will come back to her and she will hurt me, like last week i didnt do my chores and she twisted my wrist, and now i have a sprained wrist.

You absolutely need to tell someone. If she isn't around, call the police, or call child protective services or something.
She sends you to the library?? READ A CHILD CALLED IT!!!!!! It's a really good book, and it's about a child who was SEVERELY abused by his mother, his father eventually gets out of the house, and always promises him help, and that one day he'll get him out of there, and for him to stay brave but it never happens, he just wanted to calm down his son. From what you're saying your situation is probably only half as bad. Seeing your mom lets you leave the house, use the computer, and hopefully lets you eat. But still read it, or at least get the child abuse numbers from the back of the book. It's a true story, and it's a trilogy. I wasn't as crazy about the 3rd book, but the first 2 are good, and it's all about how he was in an abusive family, and gets out and goes into foster care. His teachers are the ones that help him out, but still you need to do this for you, and for your sister, but if you get out, make certain your sister gets out, because this boys mom, well the second Dave (the abused one) leaves, his older brothers start becoming abused. People can have sex anywhere from 15minutes (Got that off of Grease ha ha)to like 3hours. A lot of people just wait until both of them orgasm to stop having sex.
And NO!!!! NEVER EVER EVER use more than one condom!!!! It WILL cause friction and make the condom easier to break!!!!!!!!!! Also never use a condom you've been carrying around in your pocket, that could also cause friction. Make sure you use one that you take straight out of the box!!! And it would be a lot more safe to be on the pill and have the guy wearing a condom at the same time. But it takes at least 1-2 months before the pill is up to it's full effectiveness (97% last time I checked) but waiting 3 months would be much better.
But I assume if you're asking this now you're either curious or wanting to have sex, and if you're wanting to have sex then you'll want it soon, and if you aren't already on the pill then you won't want to get on it and wait 2 months.
But anyway, just one condom would be perfectly fine, and sex can last any amount of time.
