Many of my friends say that I am a good listener and advice giver. Because I have experienced many good and bad situations, I know what it is like to feel down or confused. I am a mother, daughter, sister, girl friend, and friend. And if I can't figure out how to answer a question, I'm sure I know someone who can. And I've come to notice that most of the questions people ask they already know the answer to, they just need a little reassurance. But I will warn you that my policy is, if you ask a stupid question, you will get a stupid answer. But i will say that it is my joy to help anyone with a real problem, so ask away!

f/15 ok i have been going out wit this guy for about 2wks and he's really sweet, but the problem is that i want to break up wit him. got any tips to let him down gently?

I know this isnt exactly a 'friendship' question but my friend is in real trouble. *
Hes 16, his dad is a drunk, hes got a step mom, and brothers and sisters. Hes my ex boyfriend. He doesnt live in the same state as me but his dad beats him. He pukes all the time from it. Its horrible. He cant do anything about it bc everytime he tells someone his dad denys it and says he plays all these sports and he skateboards so he could have gotten them from somewhere else. His dad only beats on him and none of his other brothers and sisters. i dont know what to do but i mean i really want to help him and i really need to help him. he needs to get out of there fast. ive tried havin him go to the cops but his dad uses the same story. nothings. working. someone please help me! i really want to help him out but i dont know how :// im scared for his life.

Find out if he has a family member or someone who will believe him and let him live with them. then maybe he can get that person to help him testify against his dad. Or tell him to always have a phone by him and when his dad starts hitting him find a way to secretly hit 0 or 911 so that someone can hear what is going on.

Hey, I love my life, things are going great! and things are gonna turn out JUST like i planned! But my best friend, well things didn't go the way she planned. And now, i don't think she knows WHAT to do with her life. See, her dad got in a serious Semi Truck accident, and he is 100% disable. And then this year year mom died. Her brother isn't helping the problem or helping my best friend. So, all my friend has is her friends, she kinda pushed me out of her life, and lied to me like making her dad call me and say that we cant hang out because she is sick, when she is actually hanging out with her other friends. I dont think her friends are the right friends she should be handing out with...because ever since her mom died, she's been smoking, and then she has been drinking, and racing in neighborhoods in cars with her friends, racing in their cars trying to run away from people with guns. We dont really talk anymore, and she said she'd never drink again but she lied, and still is. If she wont listin to me, how can i help her?

It is hard to help people who don't want to be helped. Most likely, she is probably doind all of this for attention, because in reality she is depressed. You can keep trying to help her, but like I said she isn't going to let you help unless she wants it. I know its sad to just see your friend ruin her life, but this kind of stuff happens. i know life sucks, doesn't it?

i got into a bad fight once with a really good friend of mine. i would always here these stories that he was talking about me behind my back. and he would also hit me and yell at me when i did something he didnt like. i finally got fed up with it and i havnt talked to him since. No don't apologize, you didn't do anything wrong. If your friend was hitting you and crap then he has problems. Leave him alone. You don't need a friend like that. friends are supposed to be respectful.

I'm 14 goin on 15 here soon and the same with this guy I like. We've been best friends ever since I've moved to Texas which is about a year. No there is nothing wrong with you. Everyone developes at different times. Your voice will change, so don't worry. Just give it sometime. And don't stress so much becasue they stress stalls puberty. And don't have sex yet, because they say sex before puberty stalls it or can eevn stop it.

Call him and remind him how much you love him. And let him know how much you miss him and need to see him. If he still acts all avoiding and stuff, then, maybe he is trying to send you a message that he wants a break or something. If it seems that way then ask him what he wants to do.

**....my mom and dad love my boyfriend AJ (his 18) but sometimes they porblems w/ him....my curfew is 11 and he brings me home at 11 and we jst hang out down stairs for a lil bit before he goes home..well last nite he was over and my dad came down stairs and told him he had to leave and if he ever stayed late past my curfew at the house he would call the cops on him...what should i do when my parents don't like the things that me and my boyfriend do or the things that he does?

You really can't do anything. It is thier house and their rules. You will just have to respect that. I am sure that your Dad didn't mean to be mean like that, and he probably still like your boyfriend, but he was just probably pissed because he felt you were trying to outsmart him or something. Maybe next time you could come in a little earlier and ask if it would be okay, if you and your boyfriend just chill downstairs for a while, and make sure you know how late he can stay. My mom is an alchoholic(or however you spell it) and she left my father a few years ago. She has been an alchoholic for as long as I cant remember and she has wrecked about 5 of our cars. She used to make me lie for her so my father wouldnt find out she had been drinking. I never told on my mother, because she convinced me that it was my father who was the problem. Whenever he found out about my mothers drinking, she would blame it on me and call me a bitch. I never blamed her, saying that it was the alchohol, and not her talking. She has been to jail twice, and also AA, which did nothing. After she left my father she took half of the money with her and ruined my chances for a good college.She still blamed my father. After that she got both a dog and a cat for me but was "keeping them for me" at her apartment. She lost both of them. She dated about 100 guys who she scraped up from the under belly of satan. (They were all the "one")she finally married one of the grungiest, who smelled of pot( she did drugs to.)then she skipped town after not showing up to court after a drug bust.We havent heard from her or her husband since. All of this almost killed me. She went from loving mother to a pot addict between jobs and under house arrest in a hotel. Its hard going day after day not knowing if your mother ids still alive, so please if anyone out there knows or knew a woman named Judy M. Flint ( maiden name Judith M. Daniel) please let me know? And if anyone has gone through something similar it would be great to talk to you. Thanks

I haven't heard anything bout your mom. But I will tell you, you shouldn't feel bad. I don't know if my father is dead or alive. He too has a drinking and pot smoking problem. He has missed so much of my life. And now I am pregnant, he doesn't even know he will be a grandfather. he is just missing out on eevrything. It makes me sad, but I have learned to accept things. I see it like this, if a parent really cared about you, even a little, they would do something, call write or something to let them know they are okay and they care. You can't beat yourself up because your mother has a problem. All you can do is prey that she is safe.

Maybe you could ask your Dad if he could come over for dinner or something, that way he can really get to know the reall him, and not what his image of him is. And remind your Dad that this guy has never hurt you and you care about him, and you want to be happy. Let him know it is killing you tha he will not accept him.

OK i need sum advice! Theres this guy on mah street who i use to like n stuff.But at the time he didnt feel the same so i got over it.But now he likes me and he's kinda bugging me b/c now he likes me. Tell him to get off your jock, he had his chance, and he blew it. And let him know he's blocking you from the guys you are trying to get at. you don;t have to say it like that, you can be nicer, but I'm sure you get the point of what you have to tell this guy. Good Luck! :)

Ok this question is for all the sexy ladies out there. Why is it that when a guy looks at a girl and makes a sound or says something about it, we get yelled at or lectured? I mean you can't tell me that you girls don't look at guys and mention something to your friends everynow amd then. I'm single and I still get yelled at for looking. So please answer.

We do say stuff. But we're not so bold about. We don't make sounds or yell down the street and stuff like that. We share the comments between ourselves. Girls don't like when guys just blurt out sleezy comments. But if you say what you are saying is not untasteful, then maybe your other friends who are girls are just jealous. There is nothing wrong with looking and liking what you see as long as you are a gentlemen about it. Hope I helped! :)

Wow, 13 is really ypung to be having sex at all. Tell her she needs to cool it because she can get pregnant or even worse get an STD or HIV/AIDS. Let her know, that by being so easy, she is putting a bad name out for herself. Guys will not respect and just think they can get it whenever they want. Let her know you care about her and you just want the best of her. This is possible. But I am surpised not one person who was at that party would have brought it up by now. I think you should take a home pregnancy test or go to the doctors and find out if you are pregant or not. Also, have you had sex with anyone since that party, if so, it may not have happened at that party. But yeah take a test, you need to.

All you have to do is get some confidence, and tell the guy you like, that you like him, and think you 2 would be good together, and take it from there.

Just tell him, you still have feelings for him and want to give it another shot. He will never know what you want until you tell him. And maybe things will be different because you are going to the same school this time.

Ok so tomorrow morning I have to get up early and go on a roadtrip to pick my sister up from camp.. its a 10 hour drive.. and on the way up it'll be just me and my parents.... so its not like i can do stuff with my sister. Try writing poems or short stories or something. Sometimes, I just sit around scribbleing my name over and over or trying to see how nice I can write my name or the people I know. Yep, its true, technically, you are not a virgin. Also, you can not getting pregnant from anal sex, even if the guys does cum in you. but you shouldn't do that because you can get an infection or a strange odor from him doing that. And you can't preganant if the semen is on the outside of you at all.

Try JCPenny's or Old Navy or Macy's or DEB. It is hard to determine whether or not they have a loose or tight fit, so really the only way to figure that out is to try them on in diffent sizez until you find the one that feels comfortable.

i had unprotected sex a week ago and now i have my period...could i still be pregnant?

Some women do get thier periods when they are pregnant, but this very uncommon. Sometimes, a woman will spot her 1st month or 2 during pregancy. But it will not be a regular period, it will be irregular. If you are having a normal period, then you should not worry. But I would still take the test, just to feel better.
