how do i get them to like him??
i've been dating this guy for a little over 2 months now.... i like him so much... and i think i'm begining to fall in love with him... my dad HATES him... he's never done anything for my dad to not like him... my dad always said "i just want to see you happy" but ever since he found out about my boyfriend he's been really mean to him and it hurts me... i don't know how to get him to like him... my boyfriend means alot to me and it hurts me so much when my dad starts saying things about him... my boyfriend is really nice and he would never do anything to hurt me. i don't know why he doesn't like him!!!! HELP ME TO GET MY DAD TO LIKE HIM!

Maybe you could ask your Dad if he could come over for dinner or something, that way he can really get to know the reall him, and not what his image of him is. And remind your Dad that this guy has never hurt you and you care about him, and you want to be happy. Let him know it is killing you tha he will not accept him.

Lemme tell you what I did.
When my guy and I had been dating about two months, I realized that he and my dad were way too...formal for my comfort, so I called up my boy after school one day and told him he was coming to dinner with me and my parents at a local restaurant thing. My mom and I talked about random things while getting my guy and my dad to bond.
At the end of dinner, everything was relaxed and they were talking about bad old movies...Lol
Get them to chat over dinner, or a relaxing situation. It'll work wonders.

hmm.. wel idk how ur b/f acts around ur dad.. maybe hes trying too hard to impress ur dad and ur dad can see that.. tell ur b/f ta be himself and maybe thatll help. if not, remind ur dad he's always sed he wants u to be happy and tell him ur boyfriend is someone who makes u reele happy and just explain to ur dad u reele want him to like him and be okay with him being around.. hope it works =/

well you obviously really like this guy and if you have that much trust in him and you are falling in love with him there's not much you can do to change that..you're dad is just gonna have to accept that. you cant be his little girl all his life you know..so try talking to your dad and tell him your feelings on it..ask him why he thinks so badly of your boyfriend..after all maybe daddy is just trying to look out for you..but let him know you trust this kid..allright well hope i helped!!! good luck. :-D

well if your dad wants you to be happy and this guy is what makes you happy then your dad should support that. Try and find out what it is about your boyfriend that your dad doesnt like. And also you have to remember that fathers are very protective over their daughters!!!! so maybe he is just a little shocked by the fact the he isnt the only man in your life now

you should ask your dad why he doesnt like him and tell him that your boyfriend really does make you happy but you dont like how he's treating your boyfriend. you should tell your dad how you feel and that you think you're falling in love with him. your dad might just not what to lose his little girl. all dads get like that sooner or later. hope i helped.
