Each week at school i will have to answer like 50 questions about my vocab and i don't have a good memory at all.. What should i do? Any studying techniques out there that might help me? PlZ help me.. I have a test every week including this one and i have no idea about what to do! =(

since it's just vocab, you can make flash cards.
personally, i'm a tree hugger so i cut a regualar 3x5 into 4s and then write the word on one side then a deinition on the back or sometimes even a picture.
ex:
front: round brush
back: used with blowdryer to straighten

Rider is a private college in NJ, I was wondering what, if anything, you've heard about it. The website certainly isn't going to state its flaws, so does anyone have a personal opinion about it? Thank you!

I've heard its a good school but honestly, i think it's just too expensive. it's like 45,000 a year. i've driving around the campus and it's not that beautiful but i'm sure it has good academics. my friend is applying there, if that makes any difference.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the smell of smoke from items such as clothing? but not with perfume and stuff so people know you are?

because my friends smoke, and its their decision but I hang aorund them and i don't smoke. and when I go home and my parents smell my lcothes, they'll think that i smoke when i odn't and i can't change clothes because they'll remember what i wore before i left

it won't take it out completely but dryer sheets work really good. keep a couple in your purse then rub one all over... hair keeps a lot of the smell so get that too. if someone asks, tell them you read in a magazine that it removes static and flyaways [for your hair].
your best bet is to have them do it outside or to just tell your parents that they smoke so that they don't suspect you.

I have about 4 pairs of jeans that I wear regularly. I have been wanting to buy another, and I was wondering your thoughts on the quality of certain brands. Does a higher price mean higher quality?
The brands that I have are:
Mudd(these recently ripped right in the crotch, so are becoming a purse.)
Old Navy(these were hand-me-downs from my little sister)
Aeropostale(My most comfortable)
Sevens(These are definitely my best, verifying the Quality is higher with higher prices idea)

I was just wondering if you all had other experiences or advice on what type of Jeans I should get next!

I haven't seen mudd jeans sold anywhere in a really long time but i definatly remember those.
all the other ones i think are pretty good. i have a couple pairs from aero from a long time ago and they're good for the price. they're like $15 on sale and you can get the latest styles then get rid of them since they weren't too expensive.
my personal favorites are hollister and ae jeans. a&f is too high cut on me for some reason. but ae jeans are durable and hollister jeans are cute. try on a bunch of different kinds and pick the ones you like the most. they're like $40 [sometimes 30 or 20 at ae] and they last a long time.
if you like 7 jeans but they're like really expensive, go to filene's basement if there's one by you. they're $40 there.

I want to be a Rag Doll for Halloween.
I want it to be sexy, but appropriate for a 14 or 15 year old.
I don't want to wear a Halloween Costume either. I was planning on wearning my hair in braids, with red ribbon. Red lipstick, and red dots on my face connected with a black line.

What should I wear? What color Shorts, shoes, Shirt, and all should I wear?

16/F For Halloween I thought of being "A myspace addict", but how could I portray this in an obvious way? I'd be wearing this to school and have to dress accordingly which pretty much defeats the purpose, but you get the idea...

any other costumes I could consider being because I'm not thrilled with the one I thought of...?

along iwth the ideas that everyone else listed, make a "sign" with your myspace address and name. a lotttt of people take pics with those signs.

My mom recently bought me a coach swingpack. It's medium sized & could hold my stuff. Basically it goes across the body. I personally think its cute, but my school is extremely narrow-minded & I don't want them to be like "what is she doing!". Can I have anyone's opinions?? Are these in?? Thanks!!

i know it sounds kinda bad but they look good on smaller people as opposed to bigger boned people. they're pretty cute tho. if you're not in love with it, exhange it for a purse that costs the same amount that you really like.

I'm going to a halloween party next week and i need some costume ideas. The theme is slutty costumes. I was thinking of being a playmate. Does anyone have any ideas of what i can be? Something that does not involve me buying it just putting an outfit together.

daisy duke... short denim shorts and a flannel/button down shirt and boots.

i've tried the loreal one.. tru match [?] and that covers really well but it makes me break out a bunch.
bare minerals is good but not with the money.
my new fave is physicians formula... the pressed powder. it looks really natural and it's like $10.

I would wear a bra with a colored sports bra over it then short overalls with paint all over them with a brush and knee high tights with paint on them too. you should have paint smaples in your back pocket.

Hi Im 15 and I have 1 or 2 friends that smoke weed and my brother does I am sooo tempted to try it but I know its illegal and wrong I dont care if its wrong but I have soo much stress I cant get rid of my stress any else!! please dont say dont smoke just tell me exactly why I shouldnt do it!!

Don't smoke for anyone other than yourself or you'll regret it.
I suggest living without it because once you have it once... you're like ok its not that bad then you'll want to do it again and it wont seem as big of a deal.
sometimes it just adds to the stress... like hiding it from parents and other siblings, finding rides, getting money for it, buying it, when to smoke... really, it's more than just an action.
not your typical "don't smoke because you'll get addicted and die" sermon but i think it'll help you make the choice for yourself.

Hi.

This Thursday we are starting our swimming unit in gym. I use to be a swimmer and my hair was damaged for about a year because of the chlorine even after malibus, and using special hair shampoos and conditioners.

My hair is finally back to normal, & I don't want to ruin it again.

Is there anything you can wear that wont let any water get into it for swimming??

Swim caps are great for that. some people wet them before but you don't have to... it just takes effort to get them on. you can get them in rubber or silicone. rubber is cheaper and works just as well but i think silicone is easier to get on.
if you don't wear it, it might not get THAT damaged. a swimming unit in class is less swimming than an actual team preactice.
if it does get damaged tho, get it cut. i know it SUCKS after you've grown it out but it'll save you the effort of trying to re-vive it.

ok so i have smoked about 5 times. its DEFINIATELY not something im proud of and i hated it so i stopped. i have been drug- free since june.
i reall tyhink i have asthma since i have a lot of trouble in pe and had the issues before the smoking... if i get tested for asthma will they...
1. be able to tell i have smoked.
2. tell my parents?

& my grandma used to smoke ciggs. heavily when i was younger. could i blame it on the if they do find something?
and if they made me get a drug test would it show up in my system even though i have been drug-free for about 4 months or more?

If they test you at school... you've never even seen pot ever.
if it's at the doctor, they can't tell anyone anyway. they'll just ask you how many times/when was the last time. i told my doctor about stuff i did in the past and it was all fine.
after 4 months tho... it doesn't matter. it won't show up at all.
ciggs don't show up on a drug test. it might be a cause of it so you can tell them that.
don't smoke or hang around cigg smoke especially. it'll only make matters worse.

i know this kid who's really sweet. he's skater and he smokes cigarettes and pot and he drinks like every weekend. he's really nice to me and makes an effort to talk to me even if it's about something stupid. for example, if he was absent he'll ask me what we did in class even though i know he doesn't care what we did. he says he's going to try to stop smoking pot but he hasn't done it yet. personally i don't like smokers. i don't want to "kiss an ashtray" but he is really sweet and i heard he might like me from a friend of his. so do i make an effort and forget about the bad things and just have a relationship with him or is it just too many bad things to ignore?

I don't think those are good things but they don't make him bad. see where this thing goes then if he tries to be with you, tell him that you won't kiss an ashtray. he's worth it if he tries to stop... like makes an honest effort. if he doesn't, there's your answer.
sometimes it hard to tell... some people can quit everything and relationships change them, at least temporarily but then there's also marriages that don't work because of alcoholism so you never know. it's worth a shot.

In school, I was totally expecting to see everyone wearing wideleg jeans, Crocs (ugh!), and all the other trends for this season. But to my surprise, they were all wearing what I was wearing; skinny jeans, Uggs, and all last season's trends. Obviously new, but according to latest news, it was outdated. Why was my small, yet wealthy town not affected by the season's reports? I am totally confused.

It takes a while for trends to actually start... like a year after i start wearing something, every store starts making it... certain prints, shoes... it drives me crazy. skinny jeans are still in all over the place. uggs are pretty much done now. i wear the ugg cloggs but that's it. the jeans tucked into uggs is last years style. honestly, i don't think wide legs jeans will ever be that popular. if you go to outlets for hollister, they've tried to get those to work before and it hasn't happened. crocs are a big no no in most parts.
