In school, I was totally expecting to see everyone wearing wideleg jeans, Crocs (ugh!), and all the other trends for this season. But to my surprise, they were all wearing what I was wearing; skinny jeans, Uggs, and all last season's trends. Obviously new, but according to latest news, it was outdated. Why was my small, yet wealthy town not affected by the season's reports? I am totally confused.

Thief answered Saturday October 13 2007, 4:46 am: yea i know how you feel fashions a bvitch aint it? well no need ot worry, feel glad that you might've started a trend yourself ^^ think about it, right after you stopped they then started, and after something else hell, they might wear a fuckin bucket on their head ^^ beileve it or not i started the goggle trend, i just wore my russian migs around school and BAM i was the toast of the town, i still wear mine in community college and appearantly im the "most different" one out there. It's the lil things that amke it soo big, for example; ripped jeans, faded clothes, not bathing, ebonics, and dressing like a doughe bag. No matter what, something even the tinyest will be a namebrand or some corp will take it, warp it and sell it for more blood money. May not make sense but it dose sorta. That the fashion bizz so don't really worry too much, the ones who care the most are either insecure about themselfs and status, or just people with no real hobby. Just strut yourstuff with confidence and you will be king of the scene like in a magazine ^^ but always be true to yourself, you'll be surprised how many people changed over what others think. What comes up falls, and sometimes it hurts. Hope i helped and i hope i didn't bore you ^^ [ Thief's advice column | Ask Thief A Question ]
LoveNJstyle answered Friday October 12 2007, 10:33 pm: It takes a while for trends to actually start... like a year after i start wearing something, every store starts making it... certain prints, shoes... it drives me crazy. skinny jeans are still in all over the place. uggs are pretty much done now. i wear the ugg cloggs but that's it. the jeans tucked into uggs is last years style. honestly, i don't think wide legs jeans will ever be that popular. if you go to outlets for hollister, they've tried to get those to work before and it hasn't happened. crocs are a big no no in most parts. <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
bitchyXemoXadivceXchick answered Friday October 12 2007, 7:55 pm: Oye, your town should grow up. I mean, you guys actually stick to that lame fasion crap? Dress like yourself. That fasion thing is out of date. So... there, fasion doesn't matter in life. it's happiness. If fasion is your life... I'm confused, but anyway, try asking a friend or fasion expert! :) [ bitchyXemoXadivceXchick's advice column | Ask bitchyXemoXadivceXchick A Question ]
xkellxx answered Friday October 12 2007, 7:12 pm: I don't think skinny jeans and Uggs are completely last season yet. And, well, if they are then my school isn't up to date either.
ASAPcamille answered Friday October 12 2007, 6:56 pm: They might not like the crocs and wideleg jeans. They are not in style here. Also, maybe it is because they see people on t.v. wearing the skinny jeans, and uggs like on the hills, and other reality shows.
hope I helped. [ ASAPcamille's advice column | Ask ASAPcamille A Question ]
