I am officially a music GEEK of 8 years and need uilleann pipes to broaden my horizons as a band moron. they are s0o expensive usually around 3000 biggys but i found a set for $800 online. they seem to be okay but i don`t want to waste any money. do you think it`s a good idea to get them? maybe i should talk to the maker beforehand?

absolutely contact the seller and get as much info as you can. More importantly, get proof that they work. Buying instruments on-line can be sketchy - lots of people more than willing to rip you off. Get lots of pictures and proof that the instrument you are buying still actually plays. If they are in close enough proximity, you might even consider visiting the seller.

i`m completely into music [i play violin] and i love it s0o0o0o much! i`ve been playing classical and fiddle/improv for almost 7 years. my mom and classical teacher want me to continue with classical and do that as mmy career and take it more seriously. my improv and fiddle teachers want me to take classical until college but then go into fiddle and improvisation. i`m not sure how to handle all this cause i really am starting to dislike a lot of classical music that my teacher wants for me. but she is a great person and player [carnegie hall and debut at age 10!!!!!!] i think maybe i should try some new classical crap but i`m not sure if this will fix my problem..

I don't wanna sound cocky by this, but I wanna make the big time. And I know I have the voice for it too. My friends, family, everyone tells me that I have a fabulous voice and need to be revealed to the public. I've been doing everything musical for my school, community, and town. For example, talent shows, school plays/musicals, taking vocal lessons, in region chorus. But my question is, how can I, a fourteen-year-old from NJ, make it in the music bizz? please help me... i'll rate fast..thanks

Your best bet is to get noticed by a talent scout. I know many, many people with amazing voices. If you want to make it in the pop music industry, you have to realize that they don't really care what you sound like - they want a look, a style, an image. Modern pop music has naught to do with music - it is all about marketing and image - they want to sell millions of dollars of CDs fast, and milk the new star for all they are worth, then dump you like a rock when you are no longer the latest, "in thing". This is how the music industry has been fucntioning for a while now.
I hope, instead, that you can opt for the high road, and make it on Broadway or the like, where you'll likely get more respect from your peers than be a marketing suit's latest toy.

All because I suggest that pop is a dead-end doesn't mean my advice is crap and deserving of such a low rating. You need to learn that not everyone is going to agree with you all the time.

I think i am very fat. I am 5'1 and i weight 110 pounds..all my friends are tall and they weigh more than me but are skinnier than me. They are all 13 and i am still 12. Sometimes I feel like I am the fattest 12 yr old in the world. Do you think there is a way I could slim up my body? If so could you tell me how? I would really appreciate it. (link)

yes, this is all found in the help files for the site, if you'd go look...
that said, as GC commented - becoming a level 1 is automatic based on comments and time.
Becoming a Level 2 is not exactly automatic, and there are only so many L2 slots available at any given moment.
There is only one L3 mod, which is the site admin.

Last night.. i was with my boyfriend... and we were in the moment. I let him finger me and then we had sex. I am only 14 and it was my first time. I wasn't really ready, but I was just so much into the moment. What should I do?
He didn't pressure me into it. I just let him do it. He has asked me in the past if it would be alright for him to finger me. I told him I would let him when the time was right.

You should absolutely talk about it! What you did with him has serious implications, and has essentially changed you for the rest of your life. In all honesty, you're only 14 - you're likely not going to be with this guy forever. If you weren't ready, then why didn't you stop him? You now have to live with this decision for the rest of your life. Yes you should talk to him about this, and if he just blows it off, then that's a signal. Likewise, if you just blow it off, that speaks volumes about your ability to cope with this.
Do the right thing - take control of this situation before it gets even more out of hand.

If he thinks you need breast implants, then I think he needs a brain implant. There's nothing wrong with smaller breasts, and B are probably closer to the average anyway. You need to ask yourself, are the risks involved with getting implants worth it? I wouldn't think they would be. Seems rather superficial to me.

i dk but i put this under cleaning... well everytime i go in my back yard i always get bit by mosqitoes n i have mosqito bites all over my legs and i hate having them on my legs... theres only like 3 on just one leg but i hate having bits on my leg does any1 kno a good way to get rid of them soon? do you have lots of standing water around your yard? that is where mosquitos breed.
It is likely that you live near lots of stagnant water if your mosquitos are that bad.
Not much will make the bites go away any faster, other than applying some ice/cold packs, and using a little hydrocortisone cream. Try wearing a bug spray with DEET to keep them from biting you.

i am 14 years old and my knees are always killing me when i do anything. i went to the doctor and he said that i was probley just goin through a gorwth spurt and my knees were just catching up or sumthing like that. but the doctor told me that in the winter...and now its summer and my knees still hurt...what do i do?

First thing - have you talked to a trainer (certified) or a physical therapist? If not, I would suggest it - especially ones who specialize in sports medicine. Get some exercises that you can perform on your own to help strengthen the area around your knee. I just went through a similar thing for the muscles and ligaments around my shoulder blades. It is well worth it.
I will never tell someone to take a medication, as that would be bad... but you might consider looking into taking some ibuprofen or other anti-inflammatory (not Tylenol - acetominophen {the active in tylenol} has NO anti-inflammatory activity) to help ease the pain in your knees and get them to heal faster, especially while you are at rest (sleeping, not physically active, etc).
Also - in all seriousness - think hard about the shoes you wear. Make sure they are ergonomic and confortable - some shoes, while stylish, are the most horrible things in the world to wear as they slowly screw up your feet and legs. Eventually, bad shoes can cause lower back problems that can become chronic. Hell, Martina Hingis had to quit playing professional tennis because of how screwed up her legs and lower back have become due to wearing bad shoes for years.

I generally suggest using words. Words, being the preferred method of communication for many, many people...
that and flirt. Flirting is an artform that too many abuse horridly. Flirt with subtlety and cleverness. Flirt with finesse.
But really, talk to the guy. Talk to him often. Smile at him. If all else fails, grab his head, pull it towards you and lick his forehead...
(or don't, he might scream....)

How do I get more friends?? I have two best friend but it feels like no one else is really my friend.... like I only have 2 friends!! I think I'm pretty... you say that you have a lot of "not really/kinda sorta" friends... I'd work on making those relationships stronger. I would recommend that you keep the bond you have with your 2 really good friends and keep it strong. The best thing to do - just talk to people. Be nice, help people, talk, listen, joke, play, work, etc... You don't need an entorage to prove that you've successfully befriended people. There are a heaping ton of people that I call my friends - mind you, there are only a handful that I see and/or talk to on a regular basis, but that doesn't eliminate the friendships I have earned over the years. In fact, I'll be you have a lot more friends than you even realize.

I have a very bad head ache right now. It hurts all behind my left eye. I've taken two extra strength Tylenols, but they don't seem to be helping. Is it safe to take more then 2 within 4 hours even though the bottle does not recommend you to? Are there any other solutions out there to save my brain from splitting in half? (link)

Do NOT take more Tylenol than what is recommended. It is possible to OD on Tylenol, and it is lethal.
I would recommend alternating with either aspirin or ibuprofen. Also, try taking a little caffeine, as that can help with headaches.
Drink lots of water, to make sure this isn't being caused by mild dehydration (more common that most people think).

Weight has little to do with age - it has to do with genetics, body shape, metabolic rates, physical activity, and height. 126lbs doesn't say anything... if you weighed that much, but were only 4 feet tall, yes, that be overweight... if you weighed that much but were 7 feet tall, you'd likely be dead. I doubt you're fat, and likely people were just being assholes saying stupid things to you to make up for their own pathetic lives. Just look at them and laugh next time.

Bush went into Afghanistan, and has left that country in a horrible mess. If things continue in Afghanistan the way they have been, it will be ripe for take-over by yet another Taliban-like group that will continue to support Al Qaida.
Bush was not necessarially wrong for attacking Iraq, but the reasoning he put forth was incorrect. In fact, if you look at the recent commission findings, they purposefully used false intelligence to hype up the non-existent terror ties between Al Qaida and Iraq. Yes, Saddam was an asshole and needed removed, but the reasoning was unsound. Also, performing the actions on Iraq when we did took our attention away from Afghanistan. We caught Saddam - big deal... we still have not captured bin Laden. Bin Laden attacked the US... Saddam did not.
Bush is attempting to polarize the nation on gay marriage - which should not even be a political issue. His trumped up attempt at a constitutional amendment was not designed to even pass - just generate more press for him.
Bush attempts to stiffle anyone who disagrees with him. His is the most polarized cabinet ever. That is NOT a good way to rule a nation. You need people around you with different perspectives to have a better understanding - he does not, as everyone in his staff agrees with him - those who do not agree either fall out of favor or are removed from their positions.
