i'm 13 and i weigh 126 lbs. i think that's WAY too much for my age. i don't look fat at all but this past year people at school have been saying that i'm really fat. what should i do? what are some good ways to loose weight?

MFS answered Wednesday July 21 2004, 9:05 pm: Weight has little to do with age - it has to do with genetics, body shape, metabolic rates, physical activity, and height. 126lbs doesn't say anything... if you weighed that much, but were only 4 feet tall, yes, that be overweight... if you weighed that much but were 7 feet tall, you'd likely be dead. I doubt you're fat, and likely people were just being assholes saying stupid things to you to make up for their own pathetic lives. Just look at them and laugh next time. Next time people call you fat you stare them down, give them a dirty look, and laugh your ass off at them. What are they trying to do? Hospitilize people ? I mean people get put down way too much nowadays. If your going to diet, dont go crazy, because thats not good for you sweetie. Try cutting fatty foods like candy, ice cream...hmm eat things grilled rather than fried. Its fine if you have one hamburger just dont go for the second one. Eat salads much more frequently. And most of all, take a jog around the block once or twice a day. If you have a tredmill, get onto that a half an hour a day. Follow these guidelines closely, and I promise quick results. Just remember keep your head held up high and eat healthy.

Dont stop eating because it makes your body think you wont eat for a while and makes enery stores *the nasty fat on your thighs, arms, and stomach* You need to eat healthy food and cut back on the sweets and SODA! If you stopped completely drinking soda for a year, you would lose about 20 pounds. Excercise is also an AwEsOmE way to lose weight. You could run, dance, do yoga or pilates, lift weights, jazzercise, or even do karate. Just have fun with what you do! Good luck losing those pounds! =)

Don't let people try to put you down, high school bites and teenagers are rude in large groups. So if you already know you don't look fat then don't listen to anyone else.
