I'm Christina, and I'm 27. I tend to be brutally honest when I give advice or an opinion. I don't tell people what they want to hear but rather what they need to hear. They don't always appreciate it at first, but I usually get a thank you in the end.

I have 15 tattoos, and 8 piercings. I'm married and just gave birth to a baby boy in May. I'm currently a SAHM so you can find me taking care of my son and binge-watching television while he naps.

my friend is suffering from anorexia. she used to be bulimic and then recovered, but about 5 or 6 months ago it came about that she was anorexic again. her parents are aware and she is in counselling with a psychiatrist for it. thing is she has made herself sick 3 times now that i am aware of (but i think it is more) and neither her parents or psychiatrist are aware of this. she only eats up to 200 calories a day, and constantly exercises, and lies about her weight to me too. im not sure what to do anymore.

I agree with Matt one hundred percent. You need to tell her parents immediately. If you continue to let this go on, she will kill herself. Anorexia is a serious disease & is extremely harmful to ones body. It can take a while to kill, but it eventually does if not treated right away. It is very dangerous.

For the sake of your friend's life, tell her parents so that they can get her help. Your friend is going to kill herself & you cannot let that happen. Tell someone before it's too late.

i know its just a movie but in bruno he did a lot of stuff that a lot of straight guys wouldnt do so i was just wondering if anyone knows if he's straight/gay/bi

Honestly, I think you should be fine. Size has absolutely nothing to do with pleasure. Some people would argue otherwise, but if your boyfriend knows what he's doing, you'll be pleasured.

Besides, not everyone can be built like a porn star. I think you'll be fine though. Remember to use protection. :)

13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher. It's about a girl who commits suicide & then makes tapes that get sent to 13 people who are part of the reason why she killed herself. It's a really good book. :)

Also, Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. It's such a good book & it's definitely one of my favorites. The character is pretty funny. She's actually quite comforting considering she's depressed.

I would also like you to read Teach Me by R.A. Nelson. This book is VERY well written. It's one of my favorite books because the girl is so intelligent for her age. :) I'm pretty sure you'll like it.

Breathing Underwater by Alex Flinn is good too. Any book by her is good, so I'd recommend you try & read them all if you get the chance. They're all pretty dark in the sense of what they're about, but it's a great read every time. She's a very talented author.

hey did anyone ever use that new black head thing that rotates and stuff to get the black heads out? does it work good?

I don't have that, but I did buy something similar. I think it was the Neutrogena Wave. It was only like $15 bucks or something like that all together with the actual cleanser & then the pads, but I didn't really like it too much. In my opinion, it didn't work that good.

Since it didn't work for me, I haven't tried any of the other cleansers from different brands & I don't plan to. But, just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it won't work for you. I do suggest you try it but I wouldn't get your hopes up too much just in case it doesn't work as well as you hope.

I really don't think you want a baby. I think you want a form of love, but a baby won't give it to you. I highly suggest you get a pet. While pets are still pretty expensive, they're A LOT cheaper than a baby.

You're 13. You have no job, you still live at home with Mom, & you're probably just starting 8th grade or so. Does that sound like you can take care of a baby?

On average, babies cost thousands of dollars a year. Depending on what you're willing to spend or what you need, usually anywhere $10-15,000; maybe more. And who do you think is going to pay for that? Certainly not Mom. Mom already has a child and doesn't need another one.

So get a pet, get your education & grow up. Babies cannot have babies because babies are not band-aids.

I lack decent communication skills, I'm very shy, I don't like making eye contact or smiling at people, and I have difficulty making new friends and creating relationships. Such tasks as dating are very difficult for me and I'm only 21 years old. It feels like I'm never able to talk about things other people are interested in. I tried examining myself with a DSM book and I think I might have "Asperger's" but I don't know for sure since I haven't seen a doctor about these problems. Where can I get help?

I don't think what you've described is Asperger's. I think it's more Social Anxiety than anything. However, we're not doctors & that is who you need to contact. I'm pretty sure they'll say it could be something along the lines of social anxiety, but since I'm not a doctor, I can't say for sure. That's what it sounds like though.. see a doctor ASAP so that you can be treated.

For months I saw this green banner at the top of Advicenators for some asian woman who had cancer, I think. (Was it cancer? Does anybody remember?) Anyway, I think it was called Project Michelle and it was trying to find help for her. Anyway, it's gone now and I was curious as to why it went away or whatever. Anybody know about it?

My friend told me that she is gay and I do not want to be friends with her anymore. It's not that I don't like her as a person but I cannot grasp the fact that she has become a lesbian. Just months ago she was dating men and now she is claiming homosexuality. I don't like it and the entire thing makes me uncomfortable. I'm trying to avoid her now more than ever since she has confessed her sexuality to me and I feel that I need to just tell her to her face why I no longer have interest in our friendship. How should I tell her? What should I say? I don't want to come off as cruel by saying, "You're a homosexual and that makes me too uncomfortable to continue a friendship with you," but at the same time I think it sounds most appropriate because it is the truth.

I know it isn't fair of me to not tell her why I have been avoiding contact with her. I know I should tell her but I'm not sure how I should go about this. I was thinking a neutral setting would be most appropriate but I don't want to embarrass her if she gets upset in some form.

Does anyone have experience with this or any ideas of how I should handle this matter? Thank you.

Let me start out by saying that everyone is entitled to an opinion no matter how immature, selfish & wrong it may be. I'm going to have to agree with previous columnists who have answered - this is most definitely cruel.

I don't understand why you don't want to be friends with her anymore? Nothing about her has changed except her sexuality & there is nothing wrong with that. She doesn't have a crush on you, and it's not right to assume that she does just because she's gay.

She's trusted you enough to come out to & you're going to reject her just because you don't agree with it? It can be religion, a personal choice or whatever that can make you disagree with her sexuality, but it's not something that would come up in conversation regularly. I'm sure if you told her you weren't comfortable talking about it, she'd be fine & respect your decision.

I think what you're doing is selfish. How would you feel if you had cancer and didn't know how to tell her & then when you had the guts to, she stopped being your friend? It'd hurt like hell, so I really don't think you should stop being her friend. Her being gay really shouldn't be any different.

However, I'm not one to press my opinions on others, but you should definitely think out all sides of this before you go & make this decision because I'm sure you'll miss her & once you ditch her, she'll be so hurt that she may not even be there when you realize what you've done. So, I think if you want to tell her, just meet her somewhere & tell her that while you think she's a nice girl, her sexuality makes you uncomfortable & that you don't really wanna be friends anymore. It's going to hurt her feelings no matter what, but I think it's best if you do it nicely rather than harshly as you plan to do.

What do Americans speak? I know that people from England speak English but I've always called what I spoke English. I'm in the United States though, not from England so I'm not English. Am I still considered to be English-speaking or is it referred to as something else? I'm confused

Americans can speak pretty much anything. America is a melting pot of cultures & there's a lot of ethnicities in this country, so there's a ton of different languages around.

However, English is widely spoken around the world, but it's mostly prominent in places like England, America & even Asia. :)

The English that Americans speak does differ from the English that British people speak mostly because of regional things, & slang. But yes, you do speak English.

I am pretty early in my pregnancy still, I guess, but was thinking I should probably start buying things for the baby. I just don't know where to start! What do I buy first for the baby? It's, of course, my first and we aren't going to find out it's gender until the baby is born :D

Should I get newborn clothes or diapers or a crib or should I wait until it's closer to my delivery date? Should I buy the expensive, necessary things right now? I just want to be prepared, that's all.

I think right now, you should buy things like a crib, the changing table & the stroller. Those things are usually the most expensive and it's best to get those first.

At your baby shower (which is traditionally held when the woman is around 7 months) you almost always get the majority of other stuff. You get pacifiers, clothes, diapers, rash cream, etc.

Your best bet is to register at a store like Babies R Us, Target or Wal*Mart and tell your family about it. They can find you by name in the registry computer.

I think that you should buy pacifiers, diapers, the shampoo & stuff, baby powder, clothes, shoes, blankets, jackets (depending on when you're due), etc. Take your mom with you. She'll be able to help you with what you need. :)

This might sound like such a stupid question, but I actually don't know the answer to it. My friends often say to me "I don't know if he likes me" and I can always tell if a guy likes them, but never if they like me!

Yes.. it does mean something.

If he's told you that he likes you, and his friends have told you, and you've been kissing him - it's kind of hard not to realize he likes you.

Ok, well I'm thinking of getting what I heard is a prepaid debit card. It is getting kind of annoying asking my parents to use their credit and in return I pay them the cost of what I'm getting because they not always agree even if I pay at full price. Anyways what is it? How do I use it? And where can I get one? There is a Walgreens near where I live and I heard they have prepaid debit cards there called the Green Dot. Can I use that? And what are the fees to a prepaid debit card? I prefer very detailed responses because I am pretty new to this kind of stuff. Basically I just need one to buy stuff on Ebay and maybe use it for my Xbox Live subscription. Also if I buy one and when I need to put cash in it do I just bring the card to the place where I bought it and pay them the amount I want?

It is what it's called.

You can buy them at places like Wal-Mart, the grocery store, & pharmacies like Walgreens, CVS or Rite Aid. You can even get them at 7-11.

You basically select the amount you want on the card, and then give that money to the cashier. So if you want $700 dollars on it, you need to have the actual $700 in cash so that the cashier can put it on there.

Some are re-usable where you can keep putting money on it after the original amount runs out. Others have a set amount and once it's gone, you'll have to buy a new card. You need to remember that there's an activation fee which is usually around $3-4 depending on the card because each one is different.

To reload the card, there's either a phone number or a website you can go to. I'm pretty sure that if you'd want to go to reload it in person, you'd have to go to the store where you bought it, but this is stuff that you can ask the cashier because I'm not 100% sure.

But for using it when shopping or whatever, you'd use it like normal where you swipe it & put in your pin. :) Remember to keep track of your spending though because if you try to buy something & you don't have enough on the card, you'll be denied. :)

I was thinking- Would buying an acre of land on the moon be a worthwhile investment? I heard that people will be able to live on the moon at some point. How long untill that happens?

I would suggest that she get a journal whether it be online or a regular notebook for school. Writing down feelings can really help one feel better. She can also try talking to you. Why don't you tell her that if she needs to talk about anything that you're there to listen? If she prefers an online journal, here are some sites:

so i'll admit, i flirt with guys all the time, it's just my personality. it doesnt mean i like them! and today i was with this guy i like (joe), who is also my good friend and his friend (nick) and this other girl who i don't like. well joe was flirting with the other girl, i dont know if he was trying to make me jealous or he was just doing it because he liked her so i started flirting with nick and just talking to him and stuff. well i was suuuper tired because i had just gotten back from an amusement park and joe was like come on, you're no fun! lets danceeee, lets do something! and i was like agh joe i'm sunburnt and tired!

well then them three went to a party and then me and my cousin had to go pick up the girl and joe and brought them back to my cousins and now i was all hyper and had alot of energy and what does joe do? goes and lays on the couch with the girl and watches a movie. AWKWARD?! so i was like trying to entertain myself and i kind of stayed away from them, trying to act like i didn't care and then the girl has to go home and of course then joe is like well i'm going to go home, i'm tired! and so he like came over to me and hugged me but i just stood there and didn't hug him back and he was like come on give me a hug! and i was like....no. your not going to stay and hang out with me? and he was like i was trying to earlier! and i was like no whatever, and he was like come on just give me a hug and and i was like noo..

and then he was like alright bye, and left.

i mean i don't think i was to harsh by not giving him a hug do you? he suppose to be my best friend and hang out with me, but he pretty much ignored me the whole night but still wants a hug and acts like nothings wrong? he knows i was upset.

Yeah, you overreacted.

You have no right to be upset with him. He can hang out with whoever he wants, and he invited you along & tried to get you to come to the party with them. You refused so that's not his problem. He asked, you declined & he went about his night & had his fun.

You didn't have to hug him back, but to be mad at him for having fun & hanging out with someone is stupid. You even tried to get revenge on him by flirting with Nick, & that's even stupider.

You overreacted, it's that simple. Get over it.

There is no being "in charge" in a relationship. A relationship is an equal partnership.

However, I would advise you to leave him. He is verbally abusing you by telling you that you're annoying & by making fun of you. He clearly has no respect for you, and you need to get rid of him. What is verbal abuse now can quickly become physical abuse if you let it.

Dump him. If he cannot respect you or treat you nice, then he does not deserve you. End it before it gets out of control.
