Some stress is good but too much can be a risk to physical health and mental wellbeing.

There are many things you can do to help your sister cope with stress probably the most important is the obvious being there for her so she can have someone to talk too or share a kiss or cuddle which can be a great support.

Have you tried suggesting your sister seeing a counsellor? sometimes it can help to talk things through with a proffesional, the good thing about counselling is that you are free to discuss anything without being judged they dont give you advice but it may help your sister to work through her problems, find solutions and find ways of coping with stressful events.

You can talk to your doctor or even look through your local pages or internet to find a counsellor in your local area.
I also suggest that you yourself go to these sessions along with your sister as the counsellor maybe able to suggest ways for you to help and support your sister.

Try and encourage her to keep up with the meditations the main reason is alot of people give up too soon and dont try long enough to see its benefits or effects with this in mind make sure that she is eating properly 3 meals aday, getting enough sleep and exercise it dosent have to be strenous. Regarding the mediations try youtube as they have lots of guided meditations and relaxation music.

I have recommened a 2 good sites below it is a free programme that is CBT or (cognitive behavioral therapy)please take a look and see if your sister may find it usefulx but you'll have to register first.

I would suggest that she get a journal whether it be online or a regular notebook for school. Writing down feelings can really help one feel better. She can also try talking to you. Why don't you tell her that if she needs to talk about anything that you're there to listen? If she prefers an online journal, here are some sites:

www.tumblr.com
www.livejournal.com
www.xanga.com

She can also try going out & having time for herself. Tell her to go to the mall & walk around. Maybe go shopping with her if you guys have money. Shopping & hanging out can help take her mind off of it. If she drives, I suggest she go for a drive & clear her head. She can also try walking alone on the beach or something. :)

one of the best ways to relieve stress is to talk about it or express it in some way. some people just talk about it and some write poetry about it.

another stress relief is exercise especially if it is an enjoyable form of exercise. also ask her if she is getting a decent amount of sleep at night.

maybe the only thing she needs is to know that someone (aka you) is there for her
