advice

I'm writing an essay in English concerning the different life styles of teenagers in high school. If you guys could answer a few questions just to give me a few ideas, I'd totally appreciate it. :)

1. What kind of things do you do? (Sports, clubs etc.)

2. Do you have 1 best friend that you spend a lot of time with or a group of friends you spend all your time with?

3. Does your school have lockers outside? Anything cool about your school-block schedule? Stuff like that.

4. Are drugs and drinking big concerns at your school?

5. Finally, is your high school life fun? Do you spend most of your time studying or hanging out with friends? Do you go out with friends every weekend? What kind of stuff do you do?

You can answer some or all of the questions, I'm just trying to get a few different ideas. Thanks!

1. I'm on my school Newspaper, in the French Honor Society, Interact Club [it's a community service club], and joined Winter Guard this year.


2. I have 3 best friends that I spend about 98 percent my time with, and some other friends that I'll occasionally see a movie with or go to a football game with.


3. Our lockers are all inside of the school. It's funny you should mention schedules, because ours are terrible. My school is SO overcrowded, that we are going to a "split schedule" next school year. This is where half of the school [seniors and juniors] go to school for the first half of the day [something like from 6:44 to 12:44], and the other half[freshman and sophomores] go to school for the seconds half of the day [something like from 12:44 to 6:44]. It's a huge pain and I really don't like it :/


4. It's not so much a "concern", because the school doesn't pay nearly enough attention to it, but it's a huge issue at my school. I'd say about 80 percent of kids at my school drink, and somewhere around 60 percent do drugs.


5. YES. I love high school! I have had so much fun in the past 2.5 years, that I can't even begin to explain. I spend my weeknights studying or at Winterguard practice/newspaper meetings. I spend my weekends with my 3 best friends. We usually have movies days :]

i love wearing lipgloss when im around my bf cuz it makes my lips look fuller but then when he kisses me it gets all over his lips too and thats just weird lol is there any lipgloss that you know of that will stay on my lips? haha thanks in advance

Try putting less on, or waiting longer to kiss him after you put it on.


Or, my best friend got me this new chapgloss [chap stick + lip gloss] for Christmas. I believe that it's called Nivea 'Kiss of Shimmer', and it stays on pretty well.

We have been together 10 months. After 3 months we told each other we love each other. 2 days ago he told me he didn't know whether or not he was in love with me anymore. he still wants to be with me, and let me just say that saying i'm madly in love with him is an understatement. should we end it or wait this out?

I agree with Jack: wait it out. Relationships have ups and downs, and just because you're having some "down" time doesn't mean you should give up entirely.

i have a really oily face especially on my nose and forehead, so whenever i have my bangs down they get all oily and wet from my forehead

is there any type of lotion or sunblock or soap that keeps my face from being oily?

My only suggestion would be to buy oil absorbing sheets. You can carry them in your purse, or even your pocket.


I use the ones Clean & Clear makes, and they're amazing. All you do is wipe your face, and it removes the excess oil :]

Honestly? The best thing you can do is give her some time. When you hurt a girl, we don't forget it and it takes us a long time to get over it.


Another thing you can do is SHOW her that it will never happen again and that you DO care. Compliment her, go places with her, get her flowers, make her a mix cd, do something to show her you care.

I'm really like this girl who is in my school ok but I'm really nervous to ask her out as i dont know her and im not in her class.So I was thinking of getting my cousin to do it as he is in her class and I was wondering to girls find that a bit weird.SO MY QUESTION IS DO GIRLS HATE IT WHEN SOMEONE GETS THEIR FRIEND TO ASK THEM OUT FOR THEM?

Honestly? Yeah, it's kind of lame when guys have their friends ask you out.


When you ask a girl out yourself, not only are you obviously expressing interest in her, but showing that you're CONFIDENT enough to act on it. And if you get rejected, who cares? If the girl can't see what an awesome guy you are, chances are she isn't worth it anyways. And there are plenty of other fish in the sea :]

Hi everyone. So I get Seventeen and Cosmo Girl magazine, and I remember getting one a while ago that had pics of Robbert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and the other guys from the movie. But I keep all of my magazines and now I can't find that issue. So my question is does anyone know who is was on the cover of that issue? That would help a lot!! And was it Seventeen or Cosmo Girl because I honestly do not remember. Thanks!!!

My sister's birthday is in early December, and I want to start looking for her gift now. I know she really wants a digital camera, and it's kind of expensive, so I thought maybe I'd just count that as birthday & Christmas...

Anyway, what's a good digital camera (brand, I guess) to get? What makes it so good? What kind do you (or someone you know) have? Why that one? Why do you/they like it?
Also, do they have them in color? I thought I'd try finding one in her favorite color if I could.

One last question: is it okay to buy online, or would it be better to actually go to the store and pick it out so I can see it and talk to a sales rep? I'm a student at a college in a small town, so the closest thing to an electronic store we have is a wal-mart...

My personal review:


I liked the picture quality a lot. It took good pictures, and if you get a big memory card, you'll put it to good use.


The only problem I had was when I made videos. I go to a lot of concerts and shows, and I like to make videos, but this camera had really crappy sound quality. That being said, if you DON'T make a lot of videos, I'd totally recommend this camera.

It takes amazing pictures AND videos. I also like photography, and I've taken got pretty good shots using this camera. I really highly suggest checking this camera out, because even though it doesn't seem like professional material, it's an amazing buy! ;]

My friend Katie's father passed away this Sunday, and I was trying to think about a gift I could give her. I wanted it to be original. First I was going to write her a card, but she's getting so many cards lately, it's insane. I thought about getting her a present, but she's gotten a lot of stuffed animals, too.

I was thinking writing her a poem would be a good way to show her that I'm thinking of her.

Is that a good idea?

I think the poem is a wonderful idea! It's different, and I think she'd really appreciate it. I think she'd appreciate it because anybody can go out and get a card; it takes somebody special to write a poem. And it's much more personal than a card.


Along with the poem, maybe you can get her some flowers? I'm sure she's gotten a ton of those, too, but maybe you can make an extra effort and get her favorites!
