Ok I know what a bible is but i don't. I know it's like a story of jesus' life. I know it's for christains. I believe in Jesus I just don't exactly know what the bible contains. Please tell me everything you know about it. Like wat it contains and stuff.

It has a lot of stories in it that Christians base their values on. It can be interpreted literally (the stories actually happened) or figuratively (the stories were written to teach you lessons about life) depending on what type of Christian or non-Christian you are. Jesus doesn't come in until the second half, so there's a lot more to it than just Jesus. There's a ton of other important people. Even if you aren't Christian, the stories can be really good. If you're interested, I would suggest reading a revised edition or even a children's version where it puts everything in modern day language and style so it's easier to follow and understand and you won't get bored, lost, or confused.

theres a song By eminem called Just Lose It and in it it goes
"whats your name girl? whats your sign?"
what does that mean??????????????
i tried Urban Dictionary but they dont know what it means

It's probably referring to Zodiac signs. You know, Aries, Taurus, Pisces, etc.

this is for all you archers, ok 14/f started archery like 4 months ago maybe longer, anyway, i have about 5 arrows that i use, i dont shoot game, just like the sport i have a red foam target i bought fomr bass pro, but i was wondering, do i need to change my arrows , is there a certain number of times that an arrow can be used or a sign that it should be thrown away none of my arrows are broken but i just need to know

You can use your arrows as long as you want if they aren't damaged. If they're wooden arrows throw them out if you see any cracks in them. If they're alluminum, it's dangerous to shoot them if they get bent. Don't try to bend them back, just throw them out. Worn down tips or shaggy feathers are fine, but any other imperfections can make them quite dangerous. Check the feathers and make sure that they're glued on all the way. If not, that's something that you can fix. Since you're 14 you probably won't be growing that much more, but check the arrows every once in awhile to make sure that they are long enough for you. The arrows aren't nearly as dangerous as the bow can be. Cracks make it extremely dangerous. You might not have to throw it out though, just get a replacement part. Make sure that you wax the string a lot too. If it gets frayed, replace it. Find an archery shop in your area and browse around. There's lots of cool gadgets that you can have a lot of fun with. Good luck! :)

I am 20 years old and i have a guy who i really like but i have never kissed a guy and i dont really know what to do and i have built it up to be so scary that it makes things worse help!!!

I was 18 at the time of my first kiss so I get what you're going through. Everybody gets nervous about their first kiss, but it's even worse when you're a late bloomer. Just remember that you won't be judged by anyone, but yourself and this is one of the few situations where your opinion doesn't matter. Don't be embarassed to tell the guy that you've never been kissed beforehand. It should make him feel really special to know that he was your first if you do end up kissing each other. Don't worry about your technique. Everyone does it differently and it does come naturally after a little bit of practice. Just go with it and remember that even if it doesn't turn out like you planned, it just can't be that terrible. Good luck! :)

It's definitely anonymous. :)

I am a 17 year old female. For about the past 2 years (maybe longer) I have always wished I was skinnier. I KNOW I am not fat. I am average for my age and height, probably even on the smaller side. However, everyday, if I have nothing else to occupy my mind, I automatically begin to think about food, what I shouldn't eat, and how I want to loose a little weight. Not once in these few years have I ever attempted to do serious harm to my body...I have absolutley no will power. Even if I tried harder then anything in the world, I would not be able to go on any serious diet (I cave in too eaisly). Yes, I have tried cutting down a little, exercising, etc., but it has never gotten any where near any kind of eating disorder. The problem is, I can't get the THOUGHT about not eating out of my mind. It seems like in the morning and all throughout the school day I plan on how to loose weight, but after school ends, I just eat like any normal girl. The thing that is bugging me is that there hasn't been one day in the past 2 or 3 years, not one single day, where I haven't obsessed about loosing weight in my mind. I don't want to hurt myself and my body, and I don't believe I am in any danger of doing so, however I just do not know how to get these thoughts out of my mind. I just want to stop thinking ahout body image...I feel abnornmal because when I have nothing else on my mind I obsess over it. How can I get rid of these thoughts? I just need some advice on how to stop obsessing over loosing weight, even though I have never actually attempted to starve myself or throw up my food. Thank You!

It's easy to get obsessed with your weight after hearing about it everywhere you go, so don't worry, every single girl thinks about their weight a lot. Try not to let your thoughts get to you so much no matter how silly they may seem. It sucks and it's annoying, but it's not hurting you. I don't think that you have a problem with body image. You don't think you're fat. You didn't talk about how ugly you were or how you didn't like certain parts of your body. You're just caught up in the buzz over weight loss, which is totally unrelated to body image. It's a fad and it has been pounded into your brain since you were born by the media and by those around you. First, get rid of the scale. Just throw it away or have someone hide it from you. Don't let it even be there to tempt you. There's no reason to know how much you weigh. It's not doing you any good and most likely it doesn't ever change significanty enough to matter. Continue eating what you want. Talk to a counselor at your school about all this and see if you can get any reassurance from there. The best advice I can give you though, is to just wait it out. You will most likely grow out of this. It's very, very normal to have the thoughts that you do. As you get older things like this won't matter so much. If they still do, that's when you get help. Good luck! :)

Ok do you see girl's who have pony tails wear it get thinner and thinner as it goes down?

My hair is really fat and poofy so when my hair is in a poney tail it like flares out and instead of it being in like a tear drop shape, it's like a long rectangle hanging down.

I want to make it like normal girl's so what can I tell the hair cutter to do?

Aw, your hair is so nice! It's not be like a "normal" girl's hair because it's better! Just because it's not normal doesn't mean it sucks. Thick hair is attractive. If you are really set on "fixing" it though, I would suggest getting layers. If your hair is thick and poofy, thinning shears might not do a bit of good. My mom tried them once and her hair didn't look any different at all. Good luck and please reconsider! :)

[recap]
There was this guy who liked me I guess, so I walk the same way home as him, and he starts walking with me. I didn't mind it that much, and then he started with the hand around the shoulder, still didn't mind it. Then he started pretty much hugging me really tight, while I'm trying to walk home. When I got home, after him pretty much not letting me move in anyway, or being able to kick/punch him. He asked me out, I said I liked someone else, and he basically got really bitter and started to ignore me. He never said anything about how he feels yet he does that[recap]

Now, a few days ago again, he walked with me. Did the hand on shoulder thing, hugging etc. Then when we got to my house, he pretty much started to put his hands up my sweater and tickling me. That crossed the line, I do not understand why he would do so because he knows I don't like him. I told him to stop but you know... weird guys + hormones. It was scary IMO. Then he kept asking me what I was doing over the weekend, and asked me if I still liked that person, and then he started to ask like 50 questions.

What do I do about this person :|

Don't let him touch you at all. No hand on the shoulder or hugging, no nothing. Even though those things may be okay with you, the more you let him touch you, the more he thinks that it's okay. In other words, you're leading him on. I know you don't mean to and you may not even think that you are, but it doesn't matter what you think. What matters is what he thinks. You need to be very clear with him and you may even want to consider threatening to report him to the police if he touches you again. Don't get me wrong, it's not your fault, it's 100% his, but if you deal with it correctly, you can stop it. Good luck!

Ok my hair (not incuding the one on my head) grows really fast!

Like when I wear my roll on anti persperant (Certain Dri) my arm pit's really itchy because every night hair always grow from there.

And at my age my moustache's really showing so I got it waxed and like in a week it grew back! And there's hair everywhere on my face that you can really see like on my nose and cheeks and chin and I'm a girl! I can't wax all the time because it really hurts. what can I do?

Every girl has hair in those places. Every one. If you have darker colored hair it may be more obvious, but honestly, you're probably the only one that notices yours. The more you mess with it, the more obvious it will become. If you keep waxing your face, the hairs will get darker and thicker when the grow back and people will notice. Just leave it alone. That's your best option. If you absolutely can't stand it and you want to do something about it (which you really don't need to!), try bleaching it. You can probably get a bleaching kit from any WalMart-type store or hair salon. Good luck.

Ok I'm 14 and I'm growing to the point where my two eyebrows are close to becoming one and I want to pluck my eyebrows by myself but I don't know how.

and one time long time ago it was really noticeable so my aunt just waxed bewtween the two and the next day you can see little hair's on that spot, it grew already!

Once you pluck do you have to pluck everyday? That's what my mom said so is that why noone has little hair growing from the middle?

You don't have to do it every single day. I do it every one or two weeks and it's just fine. The longer you do it, the easier it will get. The hairs will start to grow in a little slower. At first it might hurt a lot, but you'll get the technique soon. Please don't pay money for something like this, that's just silly. This website has some good tips, but you definintely don't have to go all out and draw lines or use oils and stuff. You can imagine the lines and just deal with the soreness since it's only going to last about a minute.

Good luck! :)

Well everytime i'm getting fingered I always have to pee or something or something squirts out. it's really annoying. ah why does this happen to me?

It's not normal, but you're not alone. It's called female ejaculation. The two websites below are clean, don't worry. There is a lot of good information out there about it, just be careful with your research. It's one of those fetish-related things that can result in really funky porn videos.

can you bring them to the beach? like the tote bags? or will sand ruin them? is it like ok to bring them there? or does it not look right? opinion pleasee.

You can bring it and it wouldn't get ruined, but I, at least, would be worried about it getting stolen. Bringing expensive things to a public beach and not keeping 2 eyes on them the entire time isn't always the best idea.

Dreadlocks - my latest 'craving', you could say. There's this girl in my uni who has it and it looks amazing on her.

I was just wondering how it's done...I know someone who'll do it and stuff but I wanna know how. Also, will I be able to wash my hair? And after how long will it start to get all loose and weird? And are there any negative consequences (like the 1.5 million different fleas found in Bob Marley's hair)?...

I admit I'm a hygiene freak (must wash my hair before 24 hours are over between each wash)and I just want to make sure I won't do something I will regret.

Thanks for your time.
=)

If you are a hygiene freak, dreadlocks are not for you. If you take care of them they're not dirty or full of bugs, but actually getting them is a different story. You can't wash your hair very much for a long time and you can't brush it. It looks really bad in the transition period and once you have them...they're permanant. You'll basically have to shave your head to get rid of them. If you're not 100% positive that this is what you want, don't do it. You will regret it at some point, guaranteed. If this is something you really want to do though, talk to a professional about it. Good luck!

My bedroom use to be upstairs, down the hall from my parents and across from my sisters room, they shared one.
Im the oldest daughter by the way.
but then my parents had this guy add a room onto the house, and its on the floor below.
Any tips to help me sleep down there, for some reason im scared because the front door and back porch are like right there and someone could easly break in. and its different, because i dont have a tv.
so for the past 2 months shes been sleeping on a couch in my parents room. Pathetic i know..
Is there any ideas to help me like sleep in myown room
xox justine

It's unlikely that someone will break in and if they do they'll probably go for a door. In the case of a break-in, nothing will happen differently than if you were sleeping upstairs. That said, there are a lot of people, including myself that just don't like sleeping in the downstairs of a house. If you're not used to it, it's very uncomfortable. There's lots of things you can do, which have already been given to you by other columnists, but I want to go the other way on this. Why did you have to move out of your room? If something was moved into your room, why couldn't it have been put in the room downstairs? Why isn't the oldest daughter getting the seniority that she deserves? Why are you being forced to sleep somewhere where you are uncomfortable? This just doesn't make sense to me. There are ways of dealing with this situation, but you shouldn't be in it in the first place. Don't try to change your feelings about sleeping downstairs, try to get your room back! At least switch with your sister. Not to sound like a impudent teenager, but this is totally unfair! Make it right! Good luck.

Hi.. 14/f/120 pounds

How do I get the same type of body as Paris Hilton? I have thigh muscles from soccer and they are big, but I dont really like how they look.. Thanks

14/f/120 pounds? You are gorgeous. From what I've been told, guys are much more attracted to girls with your body type. One day, I was talking to a male friend and it came up that girls have all these opinions about what guys like, but never actually ask a guy for his real opinion. My friend preferred the muscular legs. So, I went around and started asking for opinions. The results I got surprised me. Guys like muscular legs. Paris Hilton is way too thin. Believe it or not, leg muscles are attractive to many guys. Not all of them of course, but to a large majority. I have leg muscles from soccer too and I used to be upset about them. Now I'm proud and you should be too. :)

PS Never aspire to be anything like Paris Hilton. She is a dirty tramp and nothing more. Most people absolutely despise her and many think that she's very unattractive.

I am considering getting my nipple pierced, but I am only 16.. Do nipple piercings screw up your nipple or breast? (considering both of mine are still developing) And how bad is the scarring? Thank you!

It should be just fine. As with any piercing, the person doing it could mess up, but if it's done right, which in all likelihood it would be, there's nothing to worry about. There's always a concern with infection, but if you take care of it, there's nothing to worry about there either. Since you're 16, I would suggest you wait until you're 18, just in case wanting this is just a phase or something. Good luck! :)

Last week I was on the last day of my period, like that morning when i woke up it was practically gone. Well that night I had sex with this guy and he used a condom, but we stopped having sex for like 20 or so minutes and then did again and he used the same condom!! yes i know bad idea, but it happened. Well Im not sure if im pregnant i bought a pregnantcy test, but I know there is a certain time when a woman is most likely to get pregnant something with the time of the cycle. Everyone I ask tells me something different, so if anyone knows for sure when it is please please let me know.

There are times when you are less fertile than others, but, yeah you can get pregnant at any time. Lucky for you, you're on one of those days where it is less likely. Think too, how sometimes people trying to get pregnant have trouble. Not only that, you used protection. In all likelihood, the condom was just fine. The chances that you're pregnant are really, really, really small. Pregnancy tests will work 2 weeks after conception, so try it again next week just to be sure. I hope that you take something from this experience and are smarter about things from now on. Good luck. :)

This question is for those 18+... Sorry, but if you've never been in post-secondary, you can't really understand fully the situation I'm in.

I'm in my second year of university, and things have been going well so far. I had to redo my first year because last time didn't go so well, but I've changed programs, and my grades improved a lot... last term I had a 90% average!

The problem is that this term I'm having a lot of problems. My grades are slipping a lot. All of a sudden my classes seem harder. I'm losing interest. I keep getting sick, and I've been really stressed out with all of the catching up that I have to do.

This weekend, my math prof called my parents' house to talk to me and make sure I was okay (I don't live there anymore) and he ended up talking to my parents. Now they think I've just been staying at home and being lazy, and that I'm going to fail again.

I'm starting to feel really hopeless about things, and I really don't see a point to it anymore. Today I talked to my boyfriend about ending my life if things don't work out with school, and he ended up in tears.

I've been diagnosed with depression and seasonal affective disorder in the past, with possible bi-polar disorder. I'm not medicated, because I was on anti-depressants, but hated the way they made me emotionally flatline.

Any words of inspiration, or advice that can help? I'm starting to slip, and I don't want to go too deep.

I know that it must have been such an awful feeling to know that your math professor talked to your parents, however, can't you see how much he cares and is willing to go to lengths to help you out? I wish I had professors like that! Most of mine don't even know my name. I have 2 words for you. Office hours. I'll bet that if you went and talked with your math professor about your grades and your problems and everything going on in your life, he would not only listen, but do everything he could to help you as should all of your professors. There's also a health center at your school filled with counselors that you can see probably for free. You also have a family and a boyfriend that obviously care immensely about you.

If you reach out for help you will be surprised to see how many people are there for you. Inspiration from people on this site may do some good, but inspiration and support from people you know and people that can look you in the eye and tell you how much they care is worth more than anything, anywhere.

Everyone at some point or another in their lives feels like they just can't go on anymore and suicide comes up in their minds as an option. It doesn't sound like suicide is anything you want to do at this point, so that's a good start. I thought about suicide once and immediately dismissed it from my mind because I realized that I was thinking with my heart instead of with my head about things, as you are. It's nice to be that type of person, but sometimes it can get you into a lot of trouble. Life seems bad and feels bad and you're at a low point in it, but you'll bounce back. You always have. Remember the last time you got stressed over something. You got through it, just like you will get through this. Things won't turn out as bad as you are anticipating. You'll get through it, look back, and be upset with yourself for letting things get to you so much.

Think about the worst possible thing that could happen to you. In your situation, this would be failing out of college. Think about it with your head instead of with hopelessness, stress, and worry. Your life should not revolve around how well you do in school. Many people don't even go to college. Its something extra that, as much as people will lead you to believe, is NOT necessary to be successful in your life. I know a lot of people that didn't attend college and they have amazing jobs. I'm not saying that if you can get through it that college won't be helpful, but it wouldn't by any means be the end of a happy future for you if you couldn't make it through. There's nobody saying that you couldn't try it again next year either. If you couldn't make it through...what am I saying? The chances of that are so small if you don't give up. So, the worst case scenario isn't all that bad and the chances of it happening are really low, how about that.

Don't think about what could happen, get through things one day at a time. An hour at a time if you have to. At one point last year I felt extremely bogged down and helpless, so I made a schedule. I mapped out every hour of every day for two weeks. I might not have been able to handle all the pressure emotionally if I hadn't done that. It takes all the anticipation away because you'll know exactly what's going to happen all the time. When I finished things before I had planned, which happened often, I was thrilled. That schedule made me so relaxed. Try something like that.

Read some inspirational stories. Hearing about other people's problems and how they got through them, with so much working against them, will help a lot. I haven't seen it, but movies like "The Pursuit of Happyness" could be exactly what you need. Stories like that can give you so much inspiration. If you're Christian, take a look at this website. http://www.fathersloveletter.com/fllpreviewlarge.html

There is lots and lots of help out there for you. Remember too, that if you get really serious about suicide, a few months of emotional flatline isn't going to hurt you as much as you could hurt yourself and everyone that loves you. It might also be a good idea to see your doctor anyway, whether you want to start the meds again or not. Good luck.

Hi =] My name is Steven and my girlfriend and I have been dating for 1 year and 5 months now. Things have been a little bit rocky lately. I mean i have been done some pretty romantic things like...
-played "our song" on my roof with candle light and blankets and watched the stars
-given her a vase of flowers i arranged myself and a portrait i drew of us
-when her favorite show the o.c. just finished, i bought all 3 seasons on dvd put them on her bed and covered them with rosepedals while she was showering and she comes in her rooom and sees the suprise
all of that was lately before things started to get bad but the roof guitar thing was on onr one year ;)
so anyways i was womdering if you had any romantic ideas or quick fixes that you can shere with me that i might be able to use. what have you always wanted a man to do for you or what do you think is the most romantic thing one can do for you?

Sorry for the delayed response. I'm not the romantic type, but I can help you out. At one point, my boyfriend purchased an online book called "1000 Questions for Couples". It was great and it helped us connect on a whole new level. I would recommend it to any couple. We loved it so much we looked into similar books and found "101 Romantic Ideas". Some of them are really good. I liked a bunch of them, but my favorite was definitely #25. If you don't live near the ocean you can obviously adapt it. Good luck!

I appreciate your comment but I'm only 3.7 inches long and 0.7 inches wide that's about the width of my finger. You don't think thats small? And by the way I'm 24. Thank you anyway honey.

It's small comparitively, but I wouldn't complain. I penis is a penis. People are only obsessed with size because they either think it makes a difference or because there's so much hullabaloo about it all over the place. It honestly wouldn't be a problem unless the girl had recently been with someone much larger, as with any guy. Plus, most women can't orgasm from intercourse anyway. A lot of girls will give you crap about being small, but there are some girls out there that won't care.
