Hey I am 10 and I REALLY want to start babysitting! I am turning 11 in 4 days. I THINK I AM GETTING A CELLPHONE! I think......so when i get a cellphone..maybe...I will need to pay the bill off. I love toddlers and if my clients trust me babies! My mom can teach e CPR (she is a nurse and certified) I was looking online and I know business cards, fliers ect. but......I a SHORT! 4ft 5in, and about to be a 6th grader, so.....will that like intimidate my clients? But I mean I am STRONG!! I mean it! I can pick up my 85 pound friends!!!! Well tell me what you know thanks!
Thanks for inboxing.
Personally, I think you're too young to start babysitting and to have a cell phone. I think you should just take your time and enjoy being a kid right now.
That being said, a good age to start babysitting (for future reference) is about 14. Like I said, 10 is way too young, you almost still need a babysitter yourself! :O

Ok so not sure what category to put this in sorry! But why in a lot the movies is it guys plans to get a girl to have sex with him when they go to prom together??? is that really what happens at high school proms??? My prom is tomorrow and i was just wondering if thats really what goes down. and if that is what happens why is it prom and not any other dance??? Thanks =]
The only reason people in real life relate their first time to prom is because of all those stupid movies.
Do what you're comfortable with, and don't feel like you should do something just because it was in a movie.

So I'm applying for a class officer position at school, and one of my teachers is a class sponsor. She told me that one of the questions they would ask would be:
How would you get more people to come and decorate that hallways and make floats during spirit week?
Basically, how would I up attendance to meetings and activities. I don't want crappy answers like "say there will be food" or "make lots of announcements" because DUH.
I need really creative answers that will show that I deserve the position.
Here are a few ideas:
Say you will make posters, but not boring white poster black marker ones. Jazz em up! Make neon green and hot pink poster boards with glitter! Plan on making posters that will catch people's attention, and not just make them think "BORING!"
Don't just make lame, normal announcements. Does your T.V have a video club? If so, make a VIDEO announcement and have them show it during homeroom/lunch periods or however your school does it. And make it funny, like a skit. Not just you standing there saying "Hey, come decorate!" Get a group of friends together and making a silly little commercial for it. This will make the decorating seem appealing to a much larger crowd.
Pass out fliers. Kind of like with the poster idea, make them noticeable and flashy posters with bright colors and bold decorative accents.
I think somebody below me said make it like a game. I agree with this idea. Have a prize for the best decoration ideas/the people who decorate the best. Make it a game for the whole school! My school does this during Homecoming week (sort of?) and we do it by grade. You can try this, because it's a lot of fun and a ton of people would get into it because of the competition aspect.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

i love wavy hair! and i wish i could get my hair to look like that. what are some step by step instructions i can do to make my hair look wavy. my hair length is kinda long. its below my shoulders right about my boobs...
thank you!
remember...step by step. don't leave anything out :) lol
What I do, is sleep in braids.
After you get out of the shower, put some mousse in your hair (Garnier works best) and then let it start drying for about 5 minutes. Then, put your hair into 2 braids (not too tight, not too lose) and sleep on it. Take it out in the morning, ruffle your hair a bit, and spray it with some hairspray.
Best of luck :)

K so I'm 15/f frshman and HS and I've never had a bf, and only 1 guy that I know that's actualy ever liked me. All my friends have had/have bf's and I haven't, I've never kissed anyone either, and my bestfriend just told me that she had sex for the first time, and I just feel like I'm a total freak because I've never had a bf. Is that normal??
Oh my goodness gracious, you are PERFECTLY FINE. Just because other people are making different (really crappy) choices does NOT mean you should, too.
Take your time and go at your own pace. Honestly? I think you're a better person for waiting than your friend who just lost her virginity.
Best of luck :)

so my boyfriend was telling one of my friends how if you text the same person (boyfriend or girlfriend) every day its unhealthy. i understand if you see them everyday And text everyday but we see each other only on the weekends cause we live 25 mins away from each other and he never texts me during the week..he knows i like to be texted but he never does it, i always have to text him and he usually takes forever to respond or doesnt at all. is it seriously unhealthy? i miss him alot by the end of the week and i wanna talk to him...what should i do?
If you want to text him, text him. Forget what other people say because they are not you and they don't know how you feel.
I don't think it's unhealthy, because you said you only see each other on weekends. You have to communicate with him somehow!
Bottom line: text him when you want. Just don't go crazy and text him every time you take a breath, ya know? ;)

What are some good poems or poets? i love reading them so if anybody know any good ones let me know.

Do diet pills really work? If yes, which ones work the best? Do you need to be of certain age to get them?
If not diet pills, are there any other drinks etc. that will quickly help you lose weight?
Diet pills do not work. In fact, most of the time hey are designed to have the opposite effects.
If you want to lose weight, do it the healthy way: diet and exercise. There's no better alternative for a healthy lifestyle ;)
-Laura (16-f(
Do you think it's really possible for a couple to last through high school and college and eventually get married? I always thought people who were married and were high school sweethearts was the cutest thing.
Also, when me and my boyfriend go to college we'll be about four hours away from each other. How hard is it to keep a relationship going in this type of situation? I don't know how I'll deal with a long term relationship. As it is we live 20 minutes away from each other and see each other every other day and if for some reason we can't get together I'll start missing him so much it hurts.
Yes, it is possible. My parents were high school sweethearts and now they've been married for almost 18 years.
As for the college thing, you just really need to put an effort into it. You need to commit (which I don't think you'll have a problem with, because as it is, it sounds like you really care for your boyfriend) to one another. You need to have an open and affective line of communication.
I'd sit down with your boyfriend and really talk about it before college starts. Don't bombard him, just say you've been thinking about it a lot and you want to know where he stands.
Best of luck! If you need any more help, my inbox is always open :)

my boyfriend and i(7th grade) have been going out for only a month or so and everytime we hang out we are usually in a group with friends. my friend and her boyfriend are so cute together and he always makes the first move. well, my boyfriend always seems to look at him for a guide. for example, if we are walking and my friends boyfriend holds her hand then my boyfriend might grab my hand. and so i was wondering why he did that and how i could make a move first.
No wonder he's not making a move- you're in SEVENTH grade!
Boys are still in that shy and awkward phase. They don't know what they're supposed to do.
AND it's only been a MONTH. I know you probably know nothing about relationships, but these things take time. You can't rush into anything or push your boyfriend to do things he's not comfortable doing.
You need to just relax. You don't need to be freaking out about this, heck, you don't even need a serious boyfriend when you're young anyways :)

My friends and I are doing a performance at our school. There are 3 of us (all girls) and we are trying to decide what music to choreograph our dance to. We want to cut several songs to make one song to preform to. Right now the styles of dance we are going to use are belly dance and modern like music video style dancing. Here's what we have so far:
Traditional Belly Dance Music - Bellydancing to it
Fade into
The Way I are by Timbaland - Also bellydancing which is going to go into some modern dance
Then after that we need about two more songs that would go well after that. One song to follow after Timbaland and another song that follows after that one and has to be able to merge into more belly dancing music.
The two songs in the middle we are going to dance to as well as do tumbling (gymnastics) to, so it should be something with a good beat for that.
Thanks in advance for your help! And any other suggestions about our performance.

Ok. Im trying to burn my friend some songs... but I want the songs to have the meaning of "You should be with me." or "Im the one you need." I have feelings for him, and im putting a few random songs on the CD im making him with that kinda tone. He already knows what to expect, but I just want a few good songs where a girl is professing her love (or like) for a guy, that has a girlfriend or another love in his life.
ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated!
I rate high for good ideas!

okay so today my grades from school came in. suuucked! you see, i usually get a's and maybe one or two b's. but this time i got some c's. so my mom was really really mad at me since i kept tellin her that i was doin good in school. also she asked me why i was so tired sometimes. so she ended up taking my phone away.
i had no time to erase any of my text messages. but i handed her the phone. not only did she read a lot of my text messages, she viewed who i was callin, who was callin me, and voice mail ppl had left me. i feel like i have no privacy at all. :(
anyway, after my mother had gone through all the spying, she came into my room and asked me all these questions. she asked me who carlos was. of course i knew that was my bf but i never told her i had a bf because i knew she wouldnt accept that. so i lied to her and said he's just my friend. but she caught me. she knew i was lieing. she told me she also knew why i was tired all the time. it was because of my late phone calls i had with my boyfriend. she said that i have no respect for her, all i do is lie, and that i have a dirty mouth. Also that she has no reason to believe anything i say to her anymore.
i feel horrible since i made her cry. i dont know what i am goin to do...what should i do??!
Thanks for inboxing. First of all, I'm sorry about this fight with your mom and I know how you feel. I've been in this position, and basically, it sucks...big time. But anyways...
I want to start by saying:
NEVER LIE TO YOUR PARENTS, ESPECIALLY your mother. Do you see where lying gets you? NOWHERE! You're upset, your mom is upset. You have no phone, your mom is crying. It's awful!
That being said, you need to give your mother some time and space. Give her a few days to recover from this incident. Then, you need to sit down and talk to her.
First, let her know that YOU know you were wrong. Because honestly, YOU are the one whose wrong here, not your mother. I know admitting that you're wrong is hard to do, trust me I'm one of the most stubborn people around, but this is a situation where it's absolutely apparent that you made a mistake (or a few...).
Then, APOLOGIZE. Your mother is just looking out for you, it's her job to make sure that you're ok. It's her instinct to make sure that you're not getting into trouble. She only wants what's best for you, and nothing less or nothing more. Sit down with her, tell her that you're sorry and mean it. Don't just (what us teenagers LOVE to do), BS an apology. Explain to her why you lied to her and tell her everything. Tell her about your boyfriend, tell her about your grades and tell her that you are having late night conversations. Tell her that you're going to learn from your mistakes and that this will not (because it really shouldn't) happen again.
Finally, compromise. Don't beg for your phone back. Ask her when SHE feels you should get your phone back. Perhaps when you get your grades up? Or when you stop having secret late night phone call time with your boyfriend?
The bottom line: lying will get you nowhere in life. And as you've learned, it will ALWAYS cause you more trouble than telling the truth. Next time, tell your mom the truth and avoid all of the drama, for both of you.
Good luck and I hope everything works out for you :)
If you need any more help, just let me know!
