When this site was getting hosts changed or whatever, and it was on a temporary hosting thingy, I could get in and stuff, and i answered a question in my inbox, and it hasn't shown up in my column? What happened? (link)

Anything that happened between September 4th and the day the site came back on-line is lost. The intermediate host really fucked things for us, but we were only on-line for a very brief period of time (like, a few hours).
There's nothing we can do about the things that were lost during that time. We really are lucky that so little was lost and that we were able to transport the whole site to this new host we're on.
EDIT: Given HardRock's presumption, that is probalby not the case. We were seriously screwed over by the "middle" host we had. They put us on a server with several HUNDRED other sites, then complained when we got a lot of traffic. They knew damned well what our site demand was, and ignored it. In the process, it screwed us up for a while.
Anything posted during the brief time we were back on-line after the first move is gone and will not be coming back.

I met this guy I really like at a football game this past Friday.. Well.. he called me Sunday and asked me out. Since he asked me out.. we talk on the phone for HOURS at a time. I mean like 3 and 4 hours for each call.

I just had my muffler replaced, but now occasionaly when I accelerate or am inbetween gears I hear a noise like there is a friction of some sort or that something is catching (sorry not too descriptive, I know).
I am planing on asking my mechanic, but in the meantime, does anyone have any ideas of what it could be? And is it worth worrying about? (link)

Is your car automatic or manual?
I wonder if it could be something in the transmission like the clutch doing its job, or the synchros - I had a few worn synchros on my old saturn a few years ago - it would cause an awful grinding noise when I shifted gears as the worn parts tried to get the two gears in alignment to transition over.
I don't know if you should worry so much as you should just pay attention to the sound and try to monitor it until you can get it looked at.
Another quick comment/question - when the sound occurs, can you feel anything, or is it only audible?

I would not think it the muffler. Usually, that will make lots of noise if not connctect properly, or you'd see sparks if it were hanging low. I can't imagine it rubbing against anything.
Back breaks you could tell the follow way: after you've driven the car for a bit, get out and feel the area above the rear tires. If it is burning hot, then your breaks are rubbing, thus the excessive friction.
I still think it could be something in the transmission, but I am far and away no expert. I know just enough to fix simple things and try to diagnose others, mostly based on what's broken on cars I've had in the past (like the synchros, and also having my rear brakes get clamped shut). ;)
So long as there's no smoke pouring out of your car, and no parts seem to be exploding, I'll stand by my original asessment of just keep watching and listening and note any sudden changes in the behaviour of your car.

Umm yea my dad past away on september 25 if 2003 and lately people have been saying how much they hate their dads because they wont give them everything they want and i can't help but flip out on them and i feel bad for it but they dont understand...my dad was never there for me and we only talked like 3 times my whole life and i am 16 years old and, i was in foster care and 2 weeks before my dad passed away he told the judge he would take me and then he got in an accident and died what do i do

I really wish I knew what to tell you. I cannot begin to imagine what you have gone through and how it has effected you. I mean, from what you said, it was like you were getting a new chance with your dad, only to have the door slammed shut again, this time permanently...
I can understand you flipping out on those who clearly have no appreciation for what they have in their family life. When someone is taking such things for granted and acting spoiled, they need a reality check. I just wish that you didn't have to suffer so much "reality" to be the one stuck giving them the message.
Perhaps you can use your experience to convince others to think about how good they have it from a more objective point of view.
Again, I wish there was something I could say to help you somehow. I hope that maybe someone will be able to step into a father-figure type role for you, or at least act as an older sibling to give you a shoulder to lean on when you need it.

Lately I have been hanging around a new group of people and these people do drugs and they got me started on them too. and to tell ya the truth i love them. I like the feeling i get and i relly like it but i'm loseing a lot of friends because of it. I know my friends wanna help but i like the feeling. Well, you could be a little smarter about things and look at the costs of addiction and what many of the various drugs do to your physical and mental health. The sheer number of people that I know who have died from drug use is scary. The number of people I know who have lost jobs because of it, or been arrested, etc etc etc... is that really worth it to you? To get a stupid high?
Continue on the path you've chosen, and likely, you'll lose your friends one way or another.
Choice is yours, but you seem like you've already made up your mind.

Age is a number, yes indeed... however, at your age, a few years is a huge deal - a year or two is a vastly different mind-set, different levels of maturity and knowledge. 14 to 17 is a big, big difference. As people get older, the age differnces mean less and less, but during the teen years, those differences are enormous. Mind you, not all people are at the same level, and age isn't THE determining factor, but it cannot be ignored.
As far as stopping falling for older guys? I'd step back and take an introspective look at yourself - ask yourself why you think you fall for older guys? Is it the "thrill factor"? Is it due to the maturity gap that some guys have? Is it due to sheer infatuation? It is one thing to just hang out with people a little older than you - I did that all the time - no big deal... but to think about starting some sort of romantic relationship with them can be awkward, difficult, or lead to things that you're just not ready to deal with. Just think with your head, not just your emotions.

How do you tell her? Well, you're pretty much going to have to find a way to sit down with her and just say it. There's no magic you can perform - and from the sound of it, your mom is going to be rather shocked. Instead of worrying about how to tell her, you need to worry about how to prepare yourself for the reaction that you're likely to get from her. You can't control what your mom is going to do, but you can control how you choose to deal with her reaction. I suggest you first talk to your boyfriend, though, and see what sort of commitement you two have to each other and to your child. From, there, talk to your mom - if you have your boyfriend with you or not for that talk is all up to your level of comfort and if you think him being there will help you - if you think it'll make things worse, you might not want that.

I believe if you look in the anarchist cookbook, they have a lovely recipe for making friends. Or, better yet, try raising an undead army. Why bother with whiney, living beings as friends, when you can have an entire legion of undead, loyal subjects worshipping your every move?
As for lovers, I would suggest kidnapping and slow brainwashing. After about a month or two, they'll be not only very willing, but essentially putting in your hands.

Duct tape is all the rage these days. I suggest you make some duct tape safety pins to help hold the dress in place. Then use duct tape twine to lace up the back. If you weave enough duct tape twine together, you can construct duct tape elestic-like material, too.
If all else fails, come over and I'll help.

Clearly, you need to stop rolling in fecal matter during the course of your day. I would aslo recommend sacrificing at least 3 goats per day, and maybe one virgin per month to help fend off evil spirits that cause body odor.
Also, spending less time having sex with the corpses at the morgue will also alleviate your stench issues.

Sorry if this question has been asked before!!
You see, i wash my hair everyday, and it always smells soo good like my shampoo! I let it airdry, + it naturally goes curly.
The thing is, i straighten my hair; a lot, with the CHI [ceramic hairstyling iron.. it's my saviour!! :D hehe] my hair isn't dead, but it always smells kind of.. well, burnt i guess. So my question is, how can i get it to not smell like that? lol. It's kind of embarassing because people are always playing with my hair, and if i can smell it, i'm pretty sure they can too. Is there any kind of product you can put in afterwards to give it a nice smelling scent? Some sprays i've tried have only made it frizzy :S

If your hair smells burnt, then you really are burning your hair.
First off, clean the styling iron. If it comes apart, do that. Obviously, make sure it isn't plugged in when you clean it. I'd recommend rubbing all contact area's down with rubbing alchohol first, then use a mild soap, rinse with water. If the smell persists, use a solution of baking soda. If that doesn't work - if you are able to take the unit apart, soak the contact areas in backing soda solution overnight; rinse with warm water; let dry.
After you've removed any burned hair smell from the iron - use it at a cooler temperature.
When using the iron to straighten your hair, make sure your hair is completely clean - no conditioners left in your hair - because those can also burn - and will burn right into your hair.
Talk to a hair stylist about what it takes to get a straightening perm.

Let's think about this: weed killers are designed to kill plants, because, well... weeds are plants.
Some weedkillers like Roundup are designed to kill grasses. Others, like Weed-B-Gon are general pupose plant killin' machines. Not all of them have the same chemical herbacides in them. You're better off going to something like www.ortho.com, www.scotts.com, or some other gardening oriented site that sells herbacides and read their recommendations.
