Hey thar everybody! I've always wanted to learn an instrument, and my dad's always wanted to teach me. I've always loved the piano but I was never terribly interested until I heard one of the most beautiful versions of Space Oddity to enter my ears, played on the piano. [Of course it couldn't compare to Bowie's, but back to the point.] Is it hard to learn piano? There's a piano at my house, and my dad can teach me. Everyone in my family says I have the fingers for it. Should I? Any tips? All answers are much appreciated, thank you! (link)
|
Absolutely! You've always wanted to learn to play an instrument, and the Piano seems like the natural choice! Your have one at home, and your Father can teach you. You will not be paying money for lessons, so why not?
You can have a couple lessons, and see if you like it? You've nothing to lose, and a lot to gain.
Of course learning something new is difficult, but can be easy if you really enjoy it, and want to play it. And there's a lot of practice involved as well, so practising daily will definitely help to develop your skills!
Hope I helped, and good luck! :)

My friends little sister is 15 i look at her as my sister, she is obseced about this 20 year old guy. He thinks shes cute and all but doesnt want anything with a 15 year old. For the past few weeks me and this guy have been talking and hanging out, we both like eachother. Niether of us want to hurt her, but she wont leave him alone it effects us on moving in to a relationship. I have thought about trying to interduce he to other guys, is that a good idea? what do I do if it doesnt work? All I want is to date the guy without all the drama. (link)
|
I think that you should sit down and talk to the girl and give her a reality check. shes 15 and the guy is 20. thats not a great thing.
and i guess its okay for you to date him if atlease your the same age as him.
go a head and introduce her to other guys and if that doesnt help, then just try to be there for her.
& another thing, if the guy doesnt want anything to do with her then, let him tell her himself.
Hope i helped :)

I dont like my step dad my real dad is gone cause my mom broke up with him so i feel so empty inside what do i do to find or tell my father that i dont like him because my hearts set on my REAL dad
(link)
|
It would be unfair to tell your step dad that you don't like him. Of course, I dont know the fully details about why you dont like him. Your question suggests its because you feel that he is trying to replace your dad. The chances are, that he also is finding it difficult. Could you maybe get to know your step dad? Realise that he makes your mother happy, and so this could be your common link to get to know each other.
In reference to your actual dad, acan you still not see him? If your mother doesn't allow you to see him, then that is fundamentally unfair. As long as your father wants to see you, you should be able to see him. Why not get into contact with your dad, or explain how you feel to mom? Maybe she will understand and arrange with your father times and places where you can spend time. Or maybe talk to him over e-mail? Or skype? Or the phone? But don't be secretive about it to your mother. This man is your father and you have the fundamental right to see him.
Hope I helped :)

What are your top...lets say 3...reasons to live? What makes you happy to be here? (link)

Hey,
i'd say probably;
fulfill my dreams.
Participate in helping the world, slowly but surely!
LAST but no LEAST, to obey God.
What makes me happy to be here?
All of the above! :)

My boyfriend can be a good kisser -at times. But sometimes he just gets too excited/too into it and it starts getting sloppy when we make out. I try to just slow him down when he does this, but it's gross when it's just all wet and sloppy haha. I know it's just because he gets so into it and gets really horny but that doesn't mean he can eat my face!! I don't want to embarrass him or even ruin our intimate moment when we're making out by telling him to not be so sloppy (in a nicer way of course) I don't know what I can do, has anyone else had this problem!? (link)
|
My girlfriend did with me, and she told me straight. While you're making out, just stop and wipe your face and say something like "ahh, too sloppy. Im going to get a drink" or something, and he'll get the message. I did. Think of it more as constructive criticism, rather than an insult.
Hope i helped :)

I'm not in high-school anymore but when I'm in school I don't have a lot of friends. I dress nice and I'm bubbly and easy to get along with I'm strongwilled and don't let people walk all over me but people (mainly girls) make fun of me. From what I know I don't act weird and I like a lot of stuff that other ppl like too but if I try to make friends with the 'preppier' people I feel like they look at me like a freak. My friends and other ppl tell me I'm pretty so I don't think I'm repulsive I do my best to be nice and be myself but it's a constant battle. I do have an anxiety and panic attack disorder but I don't make that obvious. I get really scared to be at school because I'm afraid people are making fun of me. I'm going to college in the spring and though people say it's different I'm still worried. Do I have bad social skills? What's wrong with me? I love making friends of all kinds but it's hard for me what can I do? (link)
|
Hey!
Middle school and high school will be similar in ways like that. You just need to know how to handle it right. Try and get out there more, start talking to more people! If the girls keep making fun of you, it may be because they're jealous! And i know what you're thinking.."jealous? they dont seem jealous!". Well most of the time, they are believe it or not! They might see you as a competition and want to knock down your self esteem. My advice is to keep going and never give up and NEVER let the mean ones win. If it bothers you a lot, you could just stand up for yourself to them and ask them what their problem is, but if i were you i'd just be flattered that those girls are taking out time out of their OWN life to say stuff about ME. I'd be glad that Im the reason why their lives are a little more fascinating and amusing to them. You deserve to be happy, regardless of what others think of you. REMEMBER THAT. You can't let these people get to you. It's hard, I know but you'll be OK soon, before you know it you'll be surrounded by mature people and you'll realize that the things that matter now, won't matter in a couple of years.

21 female Nick -18
So me and Nick have been "talking" for about 5 months but only official for about a month. I'm honestly so comfortable with him, and he treats me like a princess. His mom and dad are divorced, he lives with his mom. I know his dad and step-mom very well. I've met his mom once, and it was a quick "hi" because she had to go somewhere.
Nick says his mom is always asking how I'm doing and how we are doing together, which is nice. I know she wants to get to know me and actually get to see me for more than a minute. Well just yesterday Nick said, my mom wants you to come to her birthday dinner in 2 weeks at my grandmas. He said it was going to be his aunt and uncle and his other uncle, his grandparents, his sister and then his mom and her boyfriend. I am freaking out! Obviously i can't say no just because I'm scared. I should really meet them. It's just that I'm horrible when it comes to meeting new people. I'm so shy, I never know what to say. Obviously I want his family to like me but it will be awkward meeting his whole family at a dinner. I'm always the girl who just sits there and listens to what everyone else is saying. I'm not outgoing at all when it comes to meeting new people -especially my boyfriends family!
How can I get through this? Any advice!? (link)
|
Hello :)
well heres a few tid bits for you. I'll bullet point my advice so as to make it easier on the eyes:
1. People -as pessemistic as it sounds- love to talk about themselves. So dont be afraid to ask questions. These can be questions such as "is this the house nick grew up in?" or "what line of work are you in?" or stuff like that. From there, you can base what else you will say.
2. When someone replies, maybe with something like "im in accountancy" or whatever, don't reply with "oh" or anything. Use it as a stepping stone to build conversation. Questions such as "How long have you been doing that?" or "do you enjoy it?", or even better, make a connection with your life such as "my uncle is in that line of work" or "that type of career has always interested me".
3. Don't lie. Dont pretend you know about something you dont. Like just say Nicks mother says she's an accountant. Dont reply with "I've always thought of that as an option for me in the future" if you dont know anything about being an accountant, as she'll probably ask you questions about it
4. If people are talking, make sure you look interested. Even if you are bored, just pretend. But don't not listen. I understand that if people are talking at the dinner table, it can sometimes get boring especially if you dont know anything about the subject, but if you stop listening and they ask you "so what do you think about it?", then you shall be screwed!
5. Remember table manners, basic etiquette, and politeness.
6. Mingle with everyone. Nick will be comfortable in his surroundings and will probably talk to everyone. You need to mingle too, or you will just look like you dont want to talk to anyone. Even if its simple small talk like "the weathers been bad recently"...it shows that you are making an effort , regardless of the fact that they know what the weather is like.
7. Saying peoples names in conversation will definitely make them feel more at ease. For example, just say the mother is called Mrs. Smith, say something like "as you probably know Mrs.Smith...." but dont keep doing it: only once per conversation to each person.
8. Call everyone "mr.x" or "mrs.x" unless they ask for you to call them by their first name.
9. Try to do some research. No Sherlock Holmes business, but ask Nick about what his mother/uncle etc do, or enjoy. This way you can bring it up. Stuff like "So Mrs.XX, Nick told me you enjoy XXXX." and then lead on from that. So just say Mrs.XX enjoys painting, then again, make some sort of connection. Even if its something really obscure like "I saw a painting by XXX the other day. What do you think about their work?" or whatever.
10. Relax. The whole family will be excited about meeting you, and so you need to be confident in the knowledge that they all want to speak to, hear, and see YOU. You will be the guest of honour here. This is the night that is fully dedicated to your presence. That may sound daunting, but think of it as a compliment. You are so interesting, and so special to Nick, that they want to meet YOU.
Hope i helped, and good luck! :)

Who is My true friend? (link)
| |
I dont quite understand the question you are asking. Can you maybe re-ask, or add some more detail? :)
|
|
Sometimes when I'm having sex or masturbating and I'm really starting to get into it, like things are hot and my breathing is heavy...I started getting this red rash on my chest and arm area. It's so weird! It feels warm to the touch and it looks like a sun rash or something, but it goes away once I calm back down. It's so embarrassing! What is it? (link)
|
I dont think its a rash, maybe its just the fact that you are so excited, and you start to breathe really heavily. This then leads to more oxygen in your blood, which along with the excitement, makes the blood flow faster around your body. This then leads to the blood appearing close to the skin which may be the reason why you think it is a rash, when really it is just blood (which may be perfectly normal).
If it hurts, or is uncomfortable, or you are seriously worried about it, then maybe see a doctor?
Hope I helped .

The job market where i currently live sucks so I plan on moving to tx where things are flourishing. I have some interviews lined up but nothing is a guarantee of course and I'm not going to move till i know i'm hired. I'm in a year lease contract now with my apt and I don't know when the right time to tell my landlord. on one hand I don't want to tell her and i go to these interviews and things don't go well and then come home to find out that my landlord found someone to take over my lease while I was gone. on the other hand I don't want a situation where I don't tell her go to these interviews get hired on the spot and the job expects me to relocate a week later but theres no one to take over the remainder of my lease. I want to do the right thing here I'm just not sure what the right thing is in this situation. Any advice?
(link)
|
Why dont you check the contract/lease?
It should say in there the minimum amount of notice you should give them. Its usually 30days as standard. But the thing is, you don't want to tell your landlord before you are guaranteed the position because there is no need to. Like you say, they may start looking for another tenant.
So if they do tell you to relocate in a week (although they probably wont, as they will probably assume you have a lease etc), you could just pay the last months rent and not stay there. But then you would be paying 2 rents. Is commuting a possibility? for the first few days/weeks while you stay at your current place?
Even if you have to leave asap, maybe your landlord will be sympathetic to your situation? and maybe will only ask you to pay part of your rent?
In short: Dont tell your landlord just yet. The second you tell them, even if you emphasise the fact that you're not sure if you will get the position, they will start looking for new tenants because otherwise they will be out money. So tell them when you know you will definitely be leaving.
Hope I helped, and good luck!

hey, I needed help with chooising a topic for a paper. I need to present something that has do do with environmental injustices, it can be anything.. I was just wodnering if someone would be able to give me a list of issues going on today, and I'll see what strikes me as interesting and go from there. Thank you so much. (link)
|
Here are some issues which may be of interest of you:
-Rich countries (MEDCs) being able to use more and more fossil fuels, whereas poor countries (LEDCs) can't afford them. This leads to social and economic problems
- MEDCs (More Economically Developed Countries) have already had their Industrial revolution where they went through tonnes of fossil fuel (which leads to Climate Change), but these same countries force LEDCs (Less Economically Developed Countries) to restrict their use of fossil fuels to help prevent climate change. This also happens with countries such as UK and USA persuading countries such as China or India to use less fossil fuels.
- MEDCs paying LEDCs to allow them to fish their oceans. LEDCs have no option but to agree. E.g.:
UK companies pay an African Government $10million to allow them to fish their oceans. The African Government accepts the money, as they are either corrupt or heavily in debt. The fishing company then overfishes the ocean and makes $100million. So not only do they increase there investment 10fold, they then leave the ocean empty of fish for the local people to eat.
- Climate change again, just generally i.e. governments not investing in more sustainable energy resources, due to political reasons etc.
- Disasters such as Chernobyl, the Japanese nuclear disaster, or the Indian Bhopal gas disaster.
Hope I helped: Theres a vast number of environmental injustices: All you have to do is look at the world around you. The internet has a wealth of information too. :)

what if your not ready for sex but your partner is giveing you signs do you have sex to keep them or not?
IM 13 SOMEONE!!!!!!!
(link)
|
If you're not ready, and you get the impression that you are being forced or pressured into having sex with someone, then that person is not worth keeping.
The right person for you will understand and appreciate that you are not ready, and will be patient.
In short: No, dont have sex to keep them. Dump them.

Last year I guy this candle from Kohls.
It burned really weird, and now the wax is all chunky, blocky, and cut up.
Also because I tried cutting the wax out of it.
Anyway, the candle jar is REALLY beautiful and I would love to keep it as a decoration/to hold things in but I'm unsure of how to get all the wax out completely.
Burning the candle won't work because the wick is burn as low as possible.
Any ideas? (link)
|
Maybe you could get a hair-dryer and warm up the jar, so the candle gets loose from the edge, and then can come straight out.
Or maybe boil a pot of water, and then put the jar in to melt the wax? Make sure the water line is below the top of the jar.
Hope i helped :)

I have been looking forever for a good acting coach could you please find me one? I always wanted to be a actress on disney channel! (link)
|
How can anyone on this website, possibly find you an acting coach?
1. We dont know where you live. We could assume you're in New York or London when actually you may just be in Mongolia.
2. Even if we did know where you live, would it not be better if you found an acting coach? For yourself? Because you are the best judge of what/who is best for you?
3. Why don't you google it, or check in a phone book?

which one to choose as my next new ipod touch?
32gb or 64gb?
i already have the 8gb one and its not enough so...
oh by the way , could you tell me how many apps can i get on each one?
Thanks, (link)
|
Well it goes from 8GB to 16GB to 32GB to 64GB. If 8GB is not enough (barely), then it may be best to go for the 16GB. But if the 8GB is considerably too small for everything you need to put on it, then go for the 32GB (which would obviously come at a greater expense).
The number of apps you can put on cannot be something that can be guessed because each app is a different size depending on what its function is e.g. a big game will take up more space than an app which diverts you to a website etc.
For reference, I have done a google search and have seen that an 8GB iPod Touch can hold anywhere from 100-300 applications, and that is at its maximum capacity. Obviously a 16GB will be double that etc etc .
Hope I helped :)

Hello, I recently attended a job fair at my university. A radio station was there and they were displaying job openings for a promotions assistant. I am only a freshman, with a major in Public Relations and I really want this job. I talked to the woman at the desk and she told me to "apply online". Of course, I did just that immediately when I got home . While I was talking to her, I asked her for the name of someone there that I could try and reach. A day or two after my application, I called and spoke with the name of the man she told me. We talked for a short time and he asked for my contact information and told me he'd contact me when they started doing interviews. After we got off the phone, I typed him a formal letter and sent it to the radio station (which is 30 minutes away from where I live) so I'm assuming he got it. I called him and sent the letter on Friday, September 9th and it is now September 14th and I have no received a phone call from him. I realize it has not been very long, But I plan on taking another action. Would it be better if I went to the station and try to contact him directly? Or should I call again? How long should I wait? I really want this job, but I have no experience in the field but I am totally willing to learn and put much effort into this. (link)
|
I think to be honest, you may have done too much already. There's a fine line between being enthusiastic and just hassling them. So you've already sent the letter, which I wouldn't have done. But its done already. Now, don't do anything. Wait for them to contact you, and that space is usually 2 weeks. If you don't hear anything after then, give them a call. If of course they told you "if we don't contact you, you weren't successful", then there is no point in contacting them. But don't come off too needy and desperate, because they may not hire you for that reason alone.
So just wait, and keep cool. Good luck, Hope I helped :)
