Candle wax out of candle.

Question Posted Sunday September 18 2011, 6:55 pm

Last year I guy this candle from Kohls.
It burned really weird, and now the wax is all chunky, blocky, and cut up.
Also because I tried cutting the wax out of it.

Anyway, the candle jar is REALLY beautiful and I would love to keep it as a decoration/to hold things in but I'm unsure of how to get all the wax out completely.

Burning the candle won't work because the wick is burn as low as possible.

Any ideas?

You're going to have to melt it/scrape it/freeze it.

Try these:

Maybe you could get a hair-dryer and warm up the jar, so the candle gets loose from the edge, and then can come straight out.

Or maybe boil a pot of water, and then put the jar in to melt the wax? Make sure the water line is below the top of the jar.

Hope i helped :)
