My husband and I are very much in love. We also have a 3 year old daughter. Now, my question is, how can we still have sex without getting a surprise? My attention is always on her and she constantly wakes up during the night. A problem is that we live in NY, and not a single family member lives here, so we don't have any help. My daughter usually sleeps through the nights now, but before she did, we had a little game we played to insure some "personal" time.
I would tell her that if she could stay in bed for however long (half hour, hour), I'd come check on her. If she was still awake afterwards, we'd read a favorite book or rock in the chair. If she was asleep when I came to check on her, she would get an extra-special treat the next day (McDonald's breakfast, trip to the park).
Once that started working, she would only get a special little treat if she stayed in bed all night. Sometimes I'd let her stay up a little late for popcorn and a movie if she promised to stay in bed. But then if she got up, I'd put one of her bed-time toys in "time-out" all night. The toy didn't get out until she spent a whole night in bed.
I had an idea I was about to try but I never had to, since she started staying in bed. We would've kept a big jar. Everytime she slept a whole night, she'd get a white poker chip. Any time she got up only once she's get a red chip. If she got up more than once, she'd lose a chip evertime she got up. Then at the end of the week, she could cash in her poker chips. The more chips the bigger the reward, until she gets a jar with all white chips, when she would get a HUGE reward...like trip to the zoo.

ok this may sound weird but my penis is bent like crooked in the middle. not a lot but i notice it. its like off to the left side and its been like this a while and its very obvious when i get hard. is this bad?? will it make it harder or painful to have sex??

Is it more like bent or curved? There are several causes for a bent penis. Also, a slightly curved or bent penis is perfectly normal in almost all circumstances.
A slight curve can be caused by circumcision, by way of the skin healing improperly on the side of the bend.
It can also be caused by injury. For exmaple, some overzealous men will miss during the heat of intercourse and jam their penis against a different body part, which can cause a permanent bend.

Depending on the severity of the bend, sex may be unaffected. From your description, it sounds as if sex will not be painful for you or your partner.

It can be pretty hard the first few times, so I have several tips for you.
Try several positions, like sitting on the toilet, squatting, or standing with one leg up on the toilet (that's how I learned).
This is a silly question, but are you on your period? Dryness can prevent you from inserting your tampon all the way.
What kind of tampon are you using? For beginners, I recommend that kind that has an applicator. Hold it between your thumb and middle finger on the ridged part in the middle and insert it all the way to your fingers. With your index finger, press the end of the tube until it meets your first two fingers. That should do it!

First, it really only matters if it's the lobe. Men (sometimes) pierce the right lobe to show that they're gay. When it's the top, it doesn't really mean anything.
Second...don't pierce the cartilage yourself, ok? They're are too many ways to mess that one up. Take it to a professional. You'll be much happier that way.

Usually, yes it's ok. As long as your engineering classes don't have your general requirement classes as pre-requisites then it should all be alright. You might want to pay a visit to a college counselor to make sure it's alright to take the classes in the order you want to.

Every morning I wake up with deadly breath and a killer taste in my mouth. Even after I brush my teeth, it's still nasty. I don't know what else to do. Even when I brush my teeth before bed I have this problem. Any ideas on how to fight morning breath? (I had no idea what catagory to put this in!)
Bad breath can be caused by many unseen problems. If regular brushing, flossing, and using mouth wash aren't helping the problem, then it is definitely the time to see a doctor or dentist.
From a dental standpoint, chronic bad breath can be caused by an oral disease, most commonly gengivitis. Once you know you have it, it is easily treated with special toothpastes and mouthwashes and a strict dental hygene routine.
You may need to see a doctor if your breath is very bad. Really bad breath (like something is rotting) can be caused by a sinus infection that has descended into the lungs. It can also be caused by acid reflux disease and other stomach diseases.
So, if your breath really doesn't improve and is very bad, you will definitely want to see someone. Most likely, just a change of toothpaste and mouthwash is in order though.

I don't really understand what it is. I looked at the website and it didn't make sense to me.
I've never been to a Planned Parenthood that offered in office abortions.
Mostly they offer counseling to men and women of all ages. They provide birth control in different forms (pill, patch, condom) along with counseling about abstinence, respecting yourself, and safe sex. They provide free condoms to those who need them.
For pregnant women, they offer counseling once again that includes whether or not you want to keep they baby. They don't encourage abortion, but they do keep the option open without pushing a lot of guilt on the mother. If the mother elects to keep the baby, Planned Parenthood will make referals to doctors to get the mother on her way. If the mother opts for abotrion, they will refer the mother to an abortion clinic as well as pre- and post- abortion counseling.

Is it out of line to correct somebody who you know is wrong in your answer? For example, say the question is "should I keep my pony?" and another person replies "no because a pony is a baby horse so you won't go as far on him", is it out of line to say "Actually, a pony is just a horse who is under 14.2 hh" blah, blah, blah?
It depends on a lot of things, but here's the basic rule. If you can correct someone while sounding helpful and informative rather than down-grading or holier-than-thou, than by all means do so.
Obviously, there are some situations where this won't apply such as an overheard conversation (like in the mall), during a lecture or class (take the lecturer/teacher aside afterwards and voice your concerns about the incorrect information), or other similar situations that may arise. Obviously, use common sense.

A "nicotine high" is the whole reason people smoke, but I wouldn't even really call it a high. Think of it more like a caffine high or adrenaline high.
Cigarettes definitely won't get you high like weed. That's a whole different high all together.

My little sister had a stomach virus.. which was given to me. So I ended up puking about 6 or 7 times last night. My ribs are showing and my stomach hurts. And so I kinda look anorexic. I feel really empty. So if my period stops.. is that bad? I've had it for about 4 years..so it's not irregular and it lasts the whole week. I'm on the 4th day and it's so light.. when I'm usually heavy. Is that bad?
When you vomit a lot, you become deydrated. This can and usually does cause your period to slow down or stop completely. Try to get more fluids down. Suck on ice, eat some fruit bars, sip hot tea, eat applesauce. Anything to get some liquid in your system. If your condition persists and you can't get any fluids down, be sure to go see a doctor. You doctor can give you an IV, which will rehydrate you and get your system back to normal so you can heal.

It really varies from person to person, but for me it hurt less than my ears (I nearly passed out) and more than my tongue (just a tiny pinch). I didn't keep it in very long because I couldn't get the darn thing to heal.

Did you check the Air Force recruitment website? http://www.airforce.com. It contains info on careers, education, basic training, etc.
Check your phone book to see if there is a recruiter in your area. If you can't find an air force recruiter, try to see if there is one for the army. That would be your best information source.

Well, i'd like to say that I am not sexually active, never had sex EVER, and that I don't use tampons.

Ouch, sounds a little bit like a yeast infection. A yeast infection tends to cause painful swelling with an itching and/or burning sensation in that area. It makes the whole area turn red and puff up. If the problem is a yeast infection, there are many creams and pills that you can pick up at the drug store that will cure it over the coarse of several days to several weeks.
There's a chance that you could've pulled or torn a muscle, tendon, or some other type of tissue by bending or moving in a way that you are not used to. This is more of an internal pain. It would be cured by cold compresses on the area as well as lots of rest.
Talk to your mom or pharmacist (they get these questions all the time, so don't be shy). Your pharmacist should know the problem. If you have any questions beyond that, or if the condition persists or worsens, you should most definitely see a doctor.

I don't want to embarass anybody so i'll just describe the situation. One girl stated that she hasn't had her period in 4 months and was wondering what she should do. Then this one girl answered:
If you have oral sex then there might be a chance of pregnancy, but if not, then it is probably just still irregular. It takes up to two years for a period to regulate, and if you have had your period for over two years, then you should tell your mom or a doctor.

I just answered that question a little bit before this was posted, and I argued against the exact thing you're asking about.
No, oral sex cannot get you pregnant, though STD's can still be contracted. An exchange of "genital fluids" must take place for pregnancy to occur, which 99.9% of the time includes genital to genital contact. (That's as PG-13 as I can make it.)
You're right to question such a response. It is absolutely impossible to get pregnant from oral sex alone.

My boobs are different sizes, I know thats normal but my doctor told me I was almost done with my "growing" and my left boob is almost 1 inch and a half bigger around the the other one. In a shirt it looks fine, cause of my bra, but when I wear a swimsuit it`s really noticable. I`ve tried doubling up on the padding in the smaller one but its the part that hangs out thats really noticable. Even friends I`ve never mentioned it to have said they`ve noticed it! What should I do and is this like .. unhealthy?
I have the same problem, except maybe more so. On me, one side is a D cup and the other is just barely a B.
It's not really unhealthy. If the larger one weighs exceptionally more than the smaller one it can give you pain in that side of your back. Unfortunately they will probably never even out on their own. Wait until you've completely finished growing (between 18 and 25). If they haven't evened out and the difference still bothers you, you might like to get a plastic surgery consultation to discuss your options with a professional.
Until then, it can be disguised just a little bit. Try several different brands of bras. Try a water bra that has water in only one side. Also try a bra with removable padding and simply remove the padding from the larger side. At a more upscale clothing boutique (actually, I've had luck at Victoria's Secret) a saleslady might be able to help you pick the best bra for your build.

How many days after you are late for your period should you take a pregnancy test for it to be affective?
Go to the store and read the different boxes, because it varies depending on the type of pregnancy test you take.
I always used the ones that you can use as early as three days after you miss your period, but I beleive that there are some that work even sooner than that, such as a few days before.

There are two important questions here: 1) How long have you had your period?, and 2) Has it been regular before? I can't be too helpful without this information, but I will try.
I started my period when I was 12, and I was incredibly irregular until I had a baby when I was 18. For a few months it would be like a normal period, and then I wouldn't have it for 4-6 months, and then I would have my period again for an entire month.
Most likely, this is nothing to worry about. If it's normal for you to have irregular periods then there should be no problems. However, anytime you have a health concern you should see a doctor. Schedule an appointment with a gynocologist. If you've never had one, this is a great time to start and you can bring up your concerns at the same time.
As a final note, I must refute an answer below. Oral sex has nothing to do with becoming pregnant. As long as no genital to genital contact has taken place (i.e. no exchange of "fluids" in those areas) there is virutally no chance that you are pregnant.
But once again, always see a doctor for any health concerns.
