hey i was wondering at like a party like a outside like block party whats a good way to go up to a girl start talking to them ask them to hang out for the rest of the night/get their number/how to find out if they are single. im 16 male if that helps..girls would be around the same age.please answer asap. thanks
Act CONFIDENT. The first thing girls (I know it's true for me) notice about a guy is how he carries himself. If you're standing alone in a corner picking your nails, you don't stand a chance with a girl.
However, if you're talking to people and smiling and acting like you're comfortable in your surroundings, you're going to get A LOT more attention.
Second, SMILE! This is another thing that will instantly grab a girl's attention. Smile at her, and give her a little nod to show you're interested. If they smile back, walk over to them. If you walk over to them, then TALK to them. Here's a FAQ of mine that might help you start conversation:
http://www.advicenators.com/qview.php?q=548311
And finally...BE YOURSELF! Don't change yourself to impress a girl because it's not worth it. Trust me, it's much better to be with somebody who likes you for who you are than it is to spend all your time watching what you say and acting how you think somebody else wants you to act.
Good luck! And if you need any more help, my inbox is always open. :)

I'm 13 and yesterday when I went to pee and wiped, I saw a little white flow with little bit blood and I kept wiping until there was nothing. Is this normal or the beginning of my first period?? Do i have to wear panty liner the next few days?
It sounds like it might be! Wearing a pantyliner is probably a good idea in case it IS your period and it starts to get heavier.

its hard for me to stay in shape....i eat healthy and take walks and work out about three times a week but nothing ever happens. could you give me some advice about how to stay in shape and be healthy? and why isn't my technique working?
You need to really commit to it. You need to eat healthy, cut out junk food, and stick to it.
As for your workouts, are you doing the same thing every time? If so, that won't help much. You need to push yourself a little harder every time you work out. Instead of running one mile, run a mile and a half. Instead of doing 25 sit-ups, do 50. You see what I mean? You need to push yourself to see results.
Also, you need to give it time. You will not see results instantly. Give it at least 2 weeks before you even start feeling healthier.
If you need any more help, let me know! :)

hey. well, i'm fifteen and i'm too young to have a real job yet lol. i'm working for my mom, earning 50 dollars a week. my question is, what are some things my friends and i can do, that are cheap, and are close by (in MA). my mom's not too good with driving me places, and she'd never take us to like six flags or anything because she wouldn't want to stay with us. i guess i'm just looking for ideas on fun stuff we can do besides walking around a mall with no money, or having people over and having nothing to do. i guess this is a really difficult question lol because without much money or a ride we're basically screwed. but can anyone give me any tips on something we can do? thanks!
Here are some of my suggestions:
Watch a movie.
Have a picnic.
Go for a walk.
Wash your mom or dad's car.
Watch cloud shapes float by.
Draw with sidewalk chalk.
Have a photoshoot.
Bake cookies.
Write a song.
Go fishing.
Buy a slip-n-slide.
Clean out your entire room.
Read a book.
Go to the park.
Build a house of cards.
Draw a picture.
Read magazines all day.
Have a marathon of your favorite T.V. show.
And here's a list I stole from my friend Jack:

I am a teenage girl. If I see a cute shirt at a band's merch table, I tend to buy it in a large. I like the way this looks, except for the waist. The waist on a men's shirt isn't quite as fitted as I would like it. Any suggestions on how I could fix that? I am somewhat skilled with hand sewing as well as a sewing machine, but I would prefer it to be non-permanent.
I have this problem with my shirts for work.
I tie it in the back or on the side with a hair tie :)

My friend Jack has a great answer on how to tell if a guy likes you:
http://www.advicenators.com/qview.php?q=506340
As for what you should do about it, go for it! Well, there are 2 major options you can go about to solve this problem:
1. Be blunt about it.
2. Be shy about it.
I highly suggest being blunt about it, and either asking him if he's into you too, or simply asking him out yourself. Guys like when girls show confidence, and there's no better way to show you're confident than walking up to a guy and asking him out!
Or, you can go the other route and be shy about it, possibly doing nothing to show him you're interested in him. Sometimes, people who use this method drop subtle hints such as smiling [which is common in girls and doesn't always show you're into a guy] or having a friend ask if he's into you [this only shows that you're too shy to do it yourself]. This option is really kind of stupid, and is used all too much...
As I always say:
Life is WAY too short to not take chances and risks once in a while. Why sit around wondering what could've been, what would've been and what should've been, when you can answer all of those questions and then some by being honest and telling a boy how you really feel about him?
-Laura (17-f)
My first kiss I was so nervous and it was awkward. My boyfriend's 16 and so am I. We've never been in a relationship before. We hung out a ton and talk a lot so we know eachother very well. Are all first kisses awkward? Does it get easier? How low does it take for it to be comfortable?
First kisses aren't supposed to be awkward.
If they are, it means you're not ready. Everybody has awkward kisses, but your first kiss should be special and give you butterflies. Not make you want to throw up.
As for how long it takes to become comfortable, it's all up to you. Whenever you feel ready and want to kiss your boyfriend is all on you.
Honestly, you'll know when you're ready to kiss somebody. At least, that's how it's always been for me and I've never had an awkward first kiss *knocks on wood* :)

So, I'm thinking about some ideas for creating my own website. I need opinions though based on other websites and was hoping that some people here could help me out so I don't have to sign up for the ones I don't use and become active on ones I no longer use.
Question of the day is:
What do you and don't you like about MySpace?
What can be improved on MySpace? How can MySpace improve that specific flaw (or, alternatively, can it NOT be improved for certain reasons) in your opinion?
Official MySpace users only please!
Thank you so much, Advicenators! :D
Honestly, I like Facebook better. It's more organized and it's aimed more towards older teenagers. Whereas Myspace is aimed towards young teenagers.
The only thing I don't like on Facebook is that you can't decorate your profile how you want to (which is a plus for Myspace). But I like the whole concept of walls and how you can tag pictures, etc.
They can improve it by organizing it better and taking off those stupid Apps that they ripped off of Facebook anyways.

Please help me! I'm a 13-year-old girl in eighth grade and I have moved 2 times. I've been attending my new school for 9 months and I have only one friend. It's not that I'm not nice or that I don't want friends - I just can't seem to make them. When I meet a nice person and I talk to them, I can't think of anything to say and we just don't become friends. Everyone at school ignores and neglects me and I sit in a corner and don't talk to anyone. Do I have ADD? Help! I'm kind of...hopelessly miserable!
http://www.advicenators.com/qview.php?q=548311
From there:
First of all, if you THINK you're going to be alone and have a pessimistic view on your potential for making friends, you will be alone.
That being said, making friends really isn't all that hard. Just talk to people! Here are a few ways you can start a conversation:
1. Compliment them.
- If they're wearing a nice pair of shoes, or some cute jeans, tell them. Let them know you like their shoes, and then ask where they got them. After that, ask if they're comfortable or something. Don't be annoying about it, but take interest in the person you're talking to, and hopefully, chances are they'll show interest back.
2. Find something you have in common.
- If they're wearing a band shirt, and it's a band you like, tell them! For example, say they are wearing a Rocket Summer shirt, say to them, "I see you have on a Rocket Summer shirt, do you like his music?" Then, after they answer, tell them your opinion on the band/artist.
3. Talk about your surroundings/where you are.
- Say it's after class and the person next to you is getting up to leave. Walk out next to him/her and comment on the class. Say something like, "That was kind of an interesting lesson." or "Was it just me, or was that lecture kind of boring?" or, if you're sitting outside on a bench, and somebody is sitting next to you, make a comment about the weather or where you are.
4. Make a joke!
- There's no better way to make friends with somebody than to make them smile/laugh. BUT don't make a joke about another person, it will make you look bad AND potentially hurt another person's feelings.

my question is are the nutrition facts on the back of a package always accurate?
for instance i always buy these shrimp vegetable egg roll type thing from shop rite, but there is no name brand
however, on the back on the package it says 80 calories per 141 grams
but for most other food that sound like that the calories per size are totally different
even if there isn't really a name brand and its just out of shop rites sea food department is it still right?
Nutrition labels HAVE to be correct, it's a law.
Like Jack said, if they are off, it's probably only by like, 10 calories at most.

Okay, so basically I want to learn Japanese. I already have alot of basic knowledge. I can ask where the bathroom is, I can introduce myself, I can ask if someone's okay, tell them how I'm feeling, ask someone's name, identify some some colors, some animals, some buildings, some foods, some body parts etc.
But I'm sure I don't know all the basics, so I'm looking for some stuff good for beginners.
I've heard of Rocket Japanese, which looks pretty good, but I don't have the money for that.. Soo that's out the window.
So, I was wondering if anyone could give me some good kanji dictionaries and other books I'll need?
I'm trying to keep this in the 100-150 dollar range...
All help appreciated!
My suggestion in iTunes...yes iTunes.
Click onto the iTunes store and click on "Podcasts", then search "Learning Japanese" (or something similar to that.
I actually did this last summer to help keep my sharp with French, and now this year I'm taking Advanced Placement French :)
Other than that, it is proven that the best way to improve yourself in a foreign language, is to read it on a sheet of paper while it is being said aloud. So maybe find a Japanese song, print the lyrics and read them them while you listen to the song?
Good luck! :)

Hey, my ex-boyfriend recently came back into town about 2 weeks ago and he will usually let me know when he is in town. This time he did'nt even call me or bother to stop by and see me.
I did'nt even know he was here until one of my friends said he came to hang out with them. I was just wondering, do you think he hates me or do you know why he doesnt want me to know he is in town?
He's your ex boyfriend. Why would you expect him to call you every time he's in town?
Some guys just choose to distance themselves after break-ups. It's perfectly normal and probably not even all your fault.

what is oral sex

If a female masterbates can it hold off her period? If it can't is possible she's pregant? even though she's never had sex and has never seen semen let alone come incontact with it. plus she's only thirteen. is it possible?
If you masturbate by yourself, then no you can't get pregnant. There's no sperm or anything.
And your period won't become regular until you've been getting it for a few years. It is likely to skip around and vary from month to month for a little while, until you're older. But like I said, eventually, it will become regular.
Don't you love being a female?

Do you think that it is ok to go to prom w/o a date? 17/f

hey so sorry if this is long, but my best friend is working on making a cd and hes a really great singer/songwriter/rapper. he's made demos of his songs using computer software and such, but he's trying to really get discovered. so, first of all does anyone know how you make a deal with itunes to put and sell your songs on itunes?
secondd, when he writes his songs he uses intstrumentals from artists such as lil wayne, young jeezy, ne-yo, and others. if he wants to be put on itunes and get discovered, does he have to create his own instrumentals because of copyright?
thanks SO much!!!
1. YouTube!
- I'm not even joking. Record him playing some covers and post them. Then, post them on your Facebook and in Myspace bulletins, etc.
2. Make a Myspace music page.
- Record some covers/originals and put them up on Myspace. Make sure to post that Myspace on his YouTube account, too.
I have no idea how to go about getting his songs on iTunes, though. Sorry...try Google?
Good luck!

I kind of like this guy who has a girlfriend. I respect that, but he does kind of flirt with me (always trying to get me into a conversation when we're alone, even though we don't know each other that well). He's always asking me questions, but I never start the conversation first, and try not to ask him questions so as not start any drama with his girlfriend (I've never talked to her, but I'm under the impression she doesn't like me very much.. or maybe that bitchy glare is on her face permanently and she can't do anything about it).
I really want to talk to him and get to know him, and I think he's taking my reservation for lack of interest, because it seems like he's almost given up talking to me. (Although I do my best with body language, you know, smiling, maybe bending over just right so he can have a chance to check me out, and he has definitely caught me checking him out before (and I him).
Anyways, I guess my question is, is it okay to flirt with him as long as it doesn't get physical? Its just that I feel a bit guilty later whenever I even talk to him. Oh, and I always greet him with a nice smile and a hello, which so far is the only thing I feel is okay to do to a guy in a relationship.
Oh, and him and his girlfriend have been together for a while, but I think they are totally wrong for each other and I don't know what he sees in her, she's way too young for him. (She's a few years younger than me, and even I'm borderline too young for him).
Me 18/f, him 24
Usually, I'd tell somebody in this situation to back off and calm down. Because think how you would feel if you found out somebody was flirting with your boyfriend when they knew you were together? Pretty bad, right?
However...how young IS his girlfriend? If she's really a few years younger than you (because like you said, even you are borderline young for him) then maybe you should be flirting with him. Somebody at that age shouldn't be with anybody younger than 18. Maybe you should flirt with him to make him realize it's not right for him to be with a young girl.
That being said, if you DO decide to start flirting with him (and limiting yourself to not getting physical), then it would be ok. Just BE CAREFUL, because he seems like he's kind of a shady guy. But that's just my opinion. Be sure to keep a distance, though, and not get too attached to him. At least, not until he ends things with this girlfriend (which he should!)
I know my answer was kind of confusing, but I hope it makes sense to you and you understand what I'm trying to say. :)
