Help with large shirts

Question Posted Thursday June 25 2009, 1:03 pm

I am a teenage girl. If I see a cute shirt at a band's merch table, I tend to buy it in a large. I like the way this looks, except for the waist. The waist on a men's shirt isn't quite as fitted as I would like it. Any suggestions on how I could fix that? I am somewhat skilled with hand sewing as well as a sewing machine, but I would prefer it to be non-permanent.

Make a knot on the side,

or what I usually do is wear a plain high waisted belt (sometimes with a long baggy cardigan, thats just an extra suggestion) , that way it really nips it in, and gives you some slim curves.

I have this problem with my shirts for work.

I tie it in the back or on the side with a hair tie :)
